Booked a trip to Japan for next year. Went into the Trailfinders shop in Castle St, Edinburgh, and our rep Doug organised everything for us, explaining everything, making sure we were happy with every option and doing all the hard work for us.
I would definitely consider making further bookings through them.

no refunds provided for cruises that were cancelled by the government.Disappointing when there would obviously be no cover required.No answer given to my initial query on this apart from the automatic response.Finally got a response when I queried before this year's renewal.

Review of CICAR
No problems at all picking up the car at Lanzarote Airport.Similarly car was returned and we were dealt with in a total of 2 minutes.
We liked the option of cash or credit card when collecting and all inclusive insurance meant what it said.Only minor complaint was that the car didn't have air conditioning so if important to you make sure you check you have it and it is working.
Would highly recommend.

Review of Virgin Trains
On 10th May I received a refund from Virgin for a trip to Preston from Edinburgh on 22nd April which had arrived over 2 hours late.Unfortunately there were 5 of us on the trip but the refund was only for 1 ticket.I immediately went on live chat as requested but they said they couldn't deal with that and I should email in.I also tried phoning but it just kept ringing.Since then I have emailed twice but only get automated responses and then nothing.The letter I received is very pleased with itself for dealing with my complaint so promptly .If only it was dealt with as I am due to refund money to the others and can't get it finished with.If there was a decent alternative I would never use this lot again as trains I get are invariably late.

Review of interactive investor
I have been trying to transfer my ISA from Fidelity since early January.At first they tried to blame Fidelity but after contacting them it was clear the problem was with II.In early March they finally transferred 3 of my funds with no sign of the other 2 .I have contacted them by phone, secure messaging and finally direct to an II complaints email about 1 week ago.
1 of the remaining 2 funds got transferred yesterday but still awaiting the last one.The really irritating thing is there is little or no communication to what to me is a serious problem.
There is no danger I would transfer my wife's portfolio after this fiasco.I can only assume the people rating it 5 stars have not had any dealings with simple ISA transfers.
