Quote didn't include our previously declared medical conditions. When trying to add them the quote disappeared which meant I lost my renewal discount. As a result I had to ring up and it was an Asian call centre which was not easy to understand, this was a particular problem when going through the medical questions where they pronounce words differently.

Waste of time based on company giving wrong informationOn making a claim for a cancelled…

On making a claim for a cancelled flight/new booking due to the power outage in Portugal, I was told that I was covered but needed certain documents and to wait until I had been reimbursed. I waited and in the meantime got the documentation together. I spent time both online and on the phone - trying to get a flight delay report from the airline. I had difficulties with this and am very frustrated that I spent so much time as it turned out to be in vain as at the end I was told by Holidaysafe that I wasn't in fact covered. Why was this not clear at the start? This is not about the rights or not of the cancellation cover - it was about being given the wrong information and wasting time.

1st time making an insurance claim

1st time making an insurance claim. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as much hassle as I'd expected.
I received claim amount 2 weeks after submitting claim. I made sure all information & evidence was correct before even submitting claim i.e. their doctors form completed not just a doctors letter , various confirmations and invoices correct and accounted for etc.
Calling for information / updates wasn't the best as call centre operators seemed somewhat confused but eventually we got there and all was well in the end.

I have NEVER in the whole week of…

I have NEVER in the whole week of obtaining many, many holiday insurance quotes from holiday insurance companies, had to go through such an extremely long winded rigmarole as I have with Travelsafe today. Their general questioning was bad enough, where I felt everything had to come from my side, when it was information and guidance from them that I needed. However, when it came to my medical conditions, I was absolutely appalled and astounded at the ridiculous amount of time they took up over each individual condition and therefore the vast amount time they caused me to be on the phone !!! For each condition I stated, Holidaysafe have a HUGE and I mean HUGE, list of sub-questions - seriously to the point of ridiculousness, even repeating and repeating questioning over things I had already answered !!!
NO other company I have contacted has deemed it necessary to ask such unnecessarily protracted questions in order to supply a quote, so little surprise, that after I bore the outrageously painful procedure in order to finally get the quote (which was not even competitive ) I stated that in no way would I EVER be taking out any insurance with Holidaysafe . If there was an option to give a zero to Holidaysafe I would do so !

Customer Service @ it's VERY best

Customer Service @ it's VERY best. Just renewed our (over 70's) holiday insurance with Sandra @ Holidaysafe & just wanted you say,a MASSIVE thankyou for her patience & helpfulness,also for the VERY competitive quote. I phoned another well known company & though it was a much shorter conversation, their quote was almost treble that of Holidaysafe & though it takes longer you feel very secure in the knowledge everything has been covered. When it's time to renew, I will DEF not waste my time looking @ competitive quotes, as each year Holidaysafe comes out on top. Thanks again Sandra for ALL your help

went to renew my annual insurance…

went to renew my annual insurance policy to discover the cost had gone from £99.50 as quoted April 1 to £189.04. Young man told me that in addition holidaysafe are no longer covering customers over 74 years of age.
