Stay away from these 2 lawyers Young & Ma LLP. This is the way they operate. First you have to pay in advance, which is not unusual when working with lawyers. Once you pay they call you proposing to sue your former boss for discrimination even if that was not your claim, they start talking about your former boss in a very aggressive way, I found it weird. Then when Young & Ma LLP see you do not need their services anymore, these attorneys start scaring you off with potential trials based on almost nothing to keep pumping dollars in a very pushy way. Of course, again, they asked you to pay in advance of a potential trial that might happen or might not happen, most likely it won´t happen. When you walk away from them not being very comfortable with their attitude they will send you emails explaining how they are better than any other lawyer in the city in a very pushy and unpleasant way. Btw they are extremely expensive and not worthy at all. I learnt my lesson with them and I wanted to share it here.
My advice: if you are looking for an employment lawyer or discrimination lawyer in NYC, keep searching, there are very good lawyers will take your case on a contingency basis, meaning the legal fees will be paid only if and when there’s a financial settlement. I also learnt this from my experience with Young & Ma LLP.
