I wish I could give negative 5 stars
I wish I could give negative 5 stars, but it won't let me Yamaha. Customer service is garbage, trash and those employees. Are stupid, they know nothing. Then on the phone 445 minutes, trying to reach the department for them to send me a proposal like I did brp. Amongst other competition for them to give them a chance to see this new invention. That's never came out before that. Brp is going to run with if they don't. And the woman said, we don't accept proposals, we don't send you anything for proposals. We don't do that kind of stuff. We don't care, basically is what you said. Pure ignorance and considering Brp is there a competition and owns 3 different jet ski companies? You would think they would want to have a chance too. I've personally sent them so many emails. They never respond we're talking months 941 462 8773 hopefully they do this time

“Poor after-sales service ruined Yamaha experience”
I purchased a Yamaha YDP-145B digital piano, and the product had a non-working key from day one. I was directed to send it to the technical service through the seller’s contracted cargo company. Later, I was informed by the service that there was a crack at the back of the piano — a damage that was not present when I handed it over.
The crack could have happened during shipping or at the service, but the seller refused all responsibility and left me with a broken product. This is not acceptable, especially from a global company like Yamaha.
I’ve already filed an official complaint through the Turkish government consumer system and CIMER. Very disappointed.

Terrible experience with order of parts for my Yamaha receiver
In January 2025, I placed an order (No. 272260) for parts for my AV receiver through Sontec, one of Yamaha's official partners. I have been told that the parts are in stock and would be delivered in February.
Since then, after enquiring with Sontec and Yamaha several times, I am being told there has been a major system update with Yamaha's ordering system and there will be delays with Parts orders. None of the two companies are since able to provide an ETA for the completion of this system upgrade and eventually provide a lead time for my order.
It has been 4 months now and I am still waiting and Yamaha simply apologises and urges customers to be patient. Yamaha has even posted these delays on their website, however, it fails to provide a timeline for resolution of the problem - https uk.yamaha.com / en / support / contacts /
I am really sorry to say that such service is simply disappointing for such a reputable company.

I own several Yamaha guitars
I own several Yamaha guitars, collectively valued at over a thousand pounds, and while the instruments themselves are superb, my experience with Yamaha's UK service has been thoroughly disappointing. Recently, I called them with a couple of questions that could have led to additional purchases. However, my calls were met with lengthy periods of hold music, only to be disconnected twice. After wasting an hour trying to get assistance, I'm left feeling undervalued as a customer. If this is how they treat loyal customers who are eager to invest more, I'll be taking my business to other reputable instrument manufacturers that seem to genuinely care about their customers.

I bought a Yamaha PSR E373 8 months ago…
I bought a Yamaha PSR E373 8 months ago for a couple hundred bucks it is hard to navigate all the options but there is some really cool features. The apps they provide are not the best but it did work on one of my tablets. The speakers seem not to have the best accoustics but it could be tweaked lots in how its set up physically and with internal settings. Its easy to hook up to aux sound both in and out and has a digital in and out. Touch response is good and adjustable. Lacks bluetooth but the digital port using printer style cord works. Most of sound problems I had were fixed by tweaking mono and stereo in my device as its missing in the keyboard and the volume of instrument set over 100 to 127 has major changes. The chorus is one setting that has major changes from low values, And reverb can cause a lot of good and bad effects. I think once i can find a pedal i will be golden. The navigation and save features are frustrating. Recording feature is a nice add on. Needs one more set of octaves but for the price its got some epic features. Some of the instruments are mindblowing like the flute. Its almost like they recorded a person playing every possible note with it. Dual layering is very good. Metronome is weak but adjustable. Keys are a tiny bit small. These are all expected. I am very rough with electronics so its holding up very well. I put 5 years worth regular of use on it for sure still looks new. Buttons and keys are good after 1000 hours easy. I use it like a stereo reciever and run sound from tablet to headphones to clean up youtube and mp3 audio.

Worst customer experience - no tech support!
I expect Yamaha to be a 'Gold Standard" in customer service. That's why I buy their products. I was wrong! Absolutely no technical support now on my digital piano and no humans or contact number to reach them. What a scam...and raking it in. They must be laughing all the way to the bank! Rating 0/10! Run by bots!

Yamaha Support.
Just spoke with Yamaha Support regarding my Genos 2 and got nothing but help in getting my query sorted. It was me pressing the wrong button to load styles from a USB. Thank you Yamaha.

Completely lack of TEST
I really like the system. And it typicaly works great… until you launch an update to the app, then everything goes bad, 3 times in a row. I am a QA expert with 20 years experience, and your major problem is - critital amount of required testing. TEST TEST TEST before launch!

I'm very happy with yamaha
I'm very happy with yamaha! I ordered an electric guitar that came with an amp and a couple other things for my son's birthday. The first one that came, the Box got all smashed up in the care of UPS. So I didn't really feel comfortable with taking it so it got sent back to yamaha. Somebody named Susan that works with Yamaha was in contact with me through email for days updating me on what was going on with the replacement guitar being sent out. It was very time-sensitive because I wanted to get it for my son's birthday on August 16th. It was August 8th when I first emailed about getting my replacement. I honestly didn't think I would come by the 16th but it ended up coming exactly on the 16th. I'm very happy with this company! They make things right and I'm also extremely satisfied with Susan! She was such and understanding person and she understood that it was time sensitive because of my son's birthday and she kept it in mind as well as the rest of the company. So that's why I'm giving them a five star! My son loves the guitar that he received!

I got a Yamaha keyboard when I was 13 years old. Loved it. When I was 27 got my first acoustic guitar. I now am 54 and have 6 guitar's made by Yamaha and a new keyboard. I think they have an amazing sound. I own other guitars and yes there is a sound difference. But Yamaha is my choice of instrument to go for. I hope this reaches them as their instruments made me the musician that I am today.
