I ordered a laptop that was supposed to be in stock, only to find out later on that they have not yet received those laptops from ASUS. My order was placed on the 21st of June, I paid for a rush build, added only RAM and a SSD heatsink, but 15 days later the laptop is still not shipped. I asked the support team beforehand when it will be ready, since I'm leaving USA and have a deadline to receive it, they assured me it will be send before 3-4 days of writing this review, still is in Q&A phase (since 1st July). Mind you, I ordered the latest Asus ROG Strix ... Absolutely will not recommend them

Mid Pc Build
I like to start off The cable management was poor…and as well i told support i wanted white fans since i picked the wrong color and they gladly said they would change it whenever my pc is in the works but whenever i got it the fans were black.. they essentially lied to me or they must’ve forgotten about it. Now moving on as the graphics card i thought i was gonna get a triple fan gpu not a two fan gpu for the price i paid for only getting a two fan gpu is basically an insult, and like i said in the beginning the cable management was horrific like it was just thrown in there with no zip ties or nothing it was all a mess and you can see the lines that connect into the cpu fans and motherboard as well..This Experience makes me think that buying a $3,960 pc that i built was not worth at all do better next time xotic pc

Shipping policy is simply unworkable
I ordered my PC on May 9th. It did take a little while to build it and ship it, which is not a problem per se as it is a custom made item. The four stars they got taken off happened purely as a result of their shipping policies, believe it or not.
Their website shipping policy is a one-liner that simply deals with when sipping is expected to take place. In reality, they ship via UPS and tracking number, but the caveat is that it can only be shipped to the address you initially provide. You CANNOT hold at a UPS facility or change your address after shipping. What happens next is that UPS sends it back to XOTIC, but then their customer service dep't tried to reship it to the same address, even though I had repeatedly asked them to change the address to my workplace (as that's where I am during the day).
This is a really big problem if you work for a living and don't have anyone to accept the package on your behalf. Currently it is June 10th, and still no computer, and I have an invoice sitting in my email with my home address that cannot be changed. Customer service assures me that they are "closely monitoring the situation."

no delivery date / not possible to change delivery address
I was never given a promised delivery date for my order. Knowing I had to travel abroad for work, I proactively contacted the company twice by email to request a change of delivery address—both times I was completely ignored.
I then called them from Belgium and was told that they do not allow address changes for orders older than two weeks. This policy was never mentioned in our agreement, nor was it anywhere on their website.
The lack of communication, rigid policy enforcement, and failure to support a reasonable and time-sensitive request was deeply disappointing. I would expect better service and transparency from a company handling international shipments.
From UPS: Deliver to a new address. There are shipper based package restrictions. Contact the shipper for details.

My order is taking a while to get here..
So, I need some help. It's been about 10 days (5-12-25, it is now the 22nd) since I ordered my pc and there have been no changes/advancements to get to shipping my order. It's a custom built one that I do expect to take a while but after reading some reviews about how people still haven't gotten their pc and it's been a long time, it's started to make me question whether or not Xotic is truly reliable. I'm giving this review 3 stars because there's no option to just not rate it yet lol

They refused to fix my laptop
Bought a nice beefy gaming laptop from them at around $2k, but this brand new system ran hot running a low-end video game for 5 minutes, hot enough for my hands to feel afraid to touch the keyboard. I reported this to them and they asked me to take metrics with the built-in laptop software running my games, and pictures to prove it, so I did that, proving temperatures were hotter than normal for a brand new machine running standard games, but even ignoring the exact temperature numbers, I didn't want to burn my hands touching the keyboard. The tech support operators agreed with me that these metrics were higher than expected and offered a possible fix with thermal paste to lower CPU temperatures, I replied "Sure, tell me where to send it, I'll ship it there, and do whatever you need to & ship it back to me, I just need the heat problem fixed" That was when they claimed they need to talk to the laptop vendor (Sager) before starting to allow me to ship the laptop for repairs. Then few days went by with no reply, no ETA, not even a ticket number for any of Xotic's calls or emails with the vendor (there was a ticket number with Xotic for my tech support complaint, but that was it). I called them back & was told to wait longer, with some lecture on how great & experienced the boss is, but still no ETA or ticket for calls/emails with vendor, so my confidence in Xotic was quickly eroding, and I wasn't even sure they filed a ticket with the vendor at all. After another few days of radio silence from them, I call again, giving them one more chance for an ETA or ticket or at least a shipping address to "start the repairs" even without authorization from the vendor (I just wanted the problem fixed), and at this point, my laptop is was sitting in a box for a week ready to ship for repairs & going unused because I was afraid to turn it on & risk burning my hands. They blew the last chance I gave them, so I dug up the page on their site for returns & went with that (I was fully prepared to get a lawyer if the return page didn't work), still had to pay $80 to ship for return to them, but they promised to refund the cost of the laptop. I shipped the laptop to them finally, but as a return not a repair. 2 days later I get an email from them asking for more temperature metrics (I already gave them tons of data, more than sufficient, and I guess they didn't realized I started a return, so I simply replied that I started a return 2 days earlier).... I still had to chase them via tech support calls several times in the week that followed before I saw a refund finally (minus the $80 shipping for the return, but I was more afraid of never seeing my $2k ever again at that point). So I got my refund (minus $80), but I'm never buying anything from them again (unless it's an oven, their laptops might make great ovens to cook a panini sandwich).

They do not honor the Warranty.
They do not honor the Warranty.
Whole picture:
I bought a Laptop for my Wife. It didn't come with the extra stuff we bought so we had to request those extras to be sent. No biggie.
The laptop was upgraded to some extent as most people tend to do.
One of the drives in the machine disconnects a lot so we ask about getting it fixed, replaced, maybe something sent to us... nope. So, yeah. The Warranty means nothing.
Laptop is fine otherwise. Normal MSI hard case laptop.

Horrible build time for simple PC
Thier site says 2-4 days to build said pc. It took xotic 8 days for a simple build. Coming from someone who builds and owns a pc company that's very unacceptable. Testing says 1-3 days on the site. It has now been 6 days. I ordered this pc 2 months ago to see how fast and to see the quality of other pc building company's have and I have to say out of the 4 I have ordered from I have 3 pc that have ben built and shipped and arrived before xoitic had even started building mine. Sorry xoitic your at the bottom bud. I would not recommend unless you have time to spare waiting for a pc.

Purposely list items in-stock when they are backordered
Items are listed as in-stock when back-ordered, this is common practice for them over years as a similar thing happened a couple years ago. Ordered a product from XoticPC recently and canceled another order that had a better price, I was willing to pay more to get the product sooner. I checked back with support since it didn't get shipped in a timely fashion, and they just tell me it's back-ordered. Their responses sound like this is just common practice for them, they have refused to do anything to accommodate their own mistake which cost me hundreds of dollars. Avoid at all costs, there are much better companies out there that don't have their website setup to turn their customers into adversaries.

This company is terrible
This company is terrible, avoid using them. They will say they can expedite your computer, tell you its in stock then it will be months before they send it. They only send out email updates after you call and ask where your computer is. AVOID AVOID. Most their reviews are probably AI not actual people. They use AI to lie about their products so it would make sense.

Want a PC with Newly Released Components? - Look Elsewhere
Don't order a PC with new release components if you want your build any time soon. Ordered an expensive custom tower with a 5090 on Februray 10th mainly as i was unable to source parts myself. The ETA on the 5090 was the limiter (Feb-Mar) to delivery. On Mar 1st this ETA updated to Mar-Apr. On Apr 1st they updated again to Apr-May ETA. They clearly do not have reliable suppliers that they can hold accountable for delivery and as such can't give their customers any firm commitments or timeline. Customer service has been both kind and responsive... but I wish they could provide me any actual update rather than hold my cash hostage with a completely indefinite timeline. There is no level of accountability on the commitment provided... if you could even call a blanket 2 month period that blindly pushes out a full month at the 1st of every month a "commitment". I've been following up weekly for over 8 weeks now. Still waiting for any real update on when my build will even start let alone ship.
Update: PC was recieved in early May (after 14 weeks of waiting) . Build is fantastic, but I still dont appreciate the lack of transparency towards timelines. I should also note, their customers service was also kind and responsive, the only issue was the updated they provided gave no information on when it would arrive. Overall satisfied now, but had a horrible time waiting.

XoticPC
XoticPC: Where They Build Dream Machines for Neurotic Perfectionists Like Me
Just received my third custom rig from XoticPC, and I'm starting to wonder if they've implanted some kind of mind-control chip in these computers that keeps me coming back. It would explain the inexplicable urge to spend my rent money on RAM upgrades.
I've ordered multiple graphics editing beasts from these people over the years, each one more unnecessarily powerful than the last. My latest machine renders videos so fast I'm pretty sure it's bending time. I can now create disappointingly mediocre art at breathtaking speeds.
Their customer service is suspiciously good. Like, "are these actual humans or advanced AI?" good. When I called at midnight having an existential crisis about whether I needed the slightly better GPU, some poor soul actually walked me through the differences instead of hanging up. They probably have a special file on me labeled "Handle With Care: Tech Hypochondriac."
The build quality is immaculate, which is annoying because it gives me nothing to complain about. Everything arrives meticulously cable-managed, as if assembled by obsessive-compulsive elves. My PC's internals look better organized than my entire life.
The customization options are basically digital heroin for indecisive people. You start with "I just need something to run Photoshop" and three hours later you're justifying liquid cooling and custom RGB lighting because "it's an investment in my career." They enable this behavior without judgment, which makes them both saints and enablers.
Their after-sale support deserves some kind of medal. When I inevitably break something by trying to "optimize" what was already perfectly optimized, they don't even laugh at me (to my face). They just calmly walk me through fixing my self-inflicted tech wounds.
The only downside is that once you've experienced this level of service, you're ruined for life. I recently bought a toaster from a regular store and was genuinely offended when it didn't come with a personalized note and lifetime technical support.
My bank account may never recover, but my render times are spectacular. If you need a custom PC and have both exacting standards and an unhealthy relationship with technology, XoticPC will be your new best friend and financial advisor's worst nightmare.

WaitTimes/?Next Day Air taking 2 days and order on shop not sent out yet?
Im going to start with 3 stars, however, I will change that review if I receive my order soon. The website is amazing, I placed an order on an already built PC, ready to go out of the box. Paid to have it shipped next day air. That was Feb, 15 2025. It is now Feb, 17 2025 and still no PC. It was over 1500$, so yes I take my money seriously especially with all the fakers out there. This was my first experience with this company and their site, of which I have never heard of before. The site is beautifully put together, the options are amazing....Im just waiting....please don't let me down on this. :) okay long wait times, BUT WORTH THE WAIT, AS PROMISED I CHANGED THE 3 STARS TO 5 STARS. XOTIC PC"S IS THE PLACE TO GO FOR A DREAM MACHINE...FOR THE NERD IN ALL OF US 😀

Disappointed
They have a good warranty program and my pc was fixed after being sent in. The “upgrade” program seems to be a total sham. Never got contact from the team about possible upgrades while the pc was there for repair. I let them know I was interested in upgrading and called 3 days in a row for a parts list to choose from and never received an email after being assured I would receive one. After 3 days I was fed up so I asked them to just send the pc back to me. I paid to have it shipped back by 1 pm Wednesday and they didn’t send the pc out til Thursday evening which delayed delivery for another 2 days. Very disappointed in their lack of communication and expeditious processing.

The process to order is quick and relatively simple. The variety of options and customizations is a good touch. I also appreciate the company keeping in contact as this is an expensive purchase.
