The worse customer service ever
My yamaha bike broke down on 21/03/25 the AA got it started by touching some wiring as not sure at what he touched and got it started to get me home we left it to at that. The next day the same happen would not start outside my home. After calling a number of garages to get booked in the earliest place I got was Wigan motorcycles and booked in on the 17/04/25 . I had to arrange for the AA the collect my bike and take it to wigan.
On the 15/04/25 i confirmed with the AA and Wigan motorcycles that everything was in place for my bike to go on the 16/04/25 ready for the 17th into the garage this all went smoothly.
And that's where the smoothness ended.
I called Wigan motorcycles on evening of 17th to see progress but they had closed,I called again the following day in hope as it was good Friday sure enough they were open but workshop closed and had no info and I whould now have to wait until Tues 22/04.
I made the call and got to speak to the service department who to my surprise told me he never knew why my bike was there as it was not in the "diary" I could not understand this as I explained that I was told on 16/04 all was good they knew what it was coming in for and a job card had been issued for my bike,I also asked if they didn't know why my bike was there when it arrived on the 16/04 why had nobody contacted me.
This went on for a number of weeks with me having to call Wigan motorcycles constantly as I was not getting any calls or updates on when my bike would be fixed just constant I am short staffed the new staff are incompetent etc excuse after excuse. I had 3rd party warranty and had to ask them to make contact to ensure they followed the instructions requested by them as I lost confidence this was now the 23/05/25 due to the stress and anxiety I was at at this point I chose to not contact them again an aloud 2 weeks to pass . So on the 30/05 I decided to travel on public transport to wigan and face to face meet. Even after this time they still could not give me satisfaction except for the part the thought was faulty wasn't so still trying to find fault.again I got the staffing issues excuse again and I insisted on a fixed day they would get my bike back in to the workshop and a definite day to receive a call with updates ,I was given 03/06 . I finally got a call saying the had fixed my bike and the fault was what they first thought and I can pick it up. I got to get to wigan again the following Friday 06/06 to pick bike up to my surprise the bike still would not start, so I said to them to take it back in why I wait after approx 30 mins the came back the bike started when asking what was the issue i was informed the "kill switch was loose".
I got on my bike and got out of there..
After all those weeks and me calling them insisting that the issue must be simple as the AA had got it started by just touching wires on the original breakdown...but they replaced the starter relay charged me £303.00 then the bike never started until the fixed the kill switch.
This is a long review but please read it if you do not want to be bikeless for almost 10 weeks.
STAY AWAY FROM WIGAN MOTORCYCLES.

I contacted them regarding a bike advertised, they replied almost immediately that it was available. I have messaged several times since over the last few days but had no replay. its via there whatsapp number 07350537166. messages are being received and read but they cant be bothered to reply. I will not be using them in the future and would advise anyone else not to use them, if this is how they treat enquiries I dread to think what the after sales service would be like.

Disappointment
First I'd like to tell you that I've been researching the keeyway v-cruise 125 for some months now, the pricing of new and used motorcycles etc. I have not yet passed my CBT although I do hold a full driving license. My intentions are to take up lessons in the new year 2025 once the weather warms up a little and then purchase a bike. But when I saw a keeway V-Cruise for sale at this store, the advertisement read used keeway with only 10 miles on the clock, £3895 I thought 10 miles on the clock this is a new bike but at a used price, i have to have this, I can store it in my garage until I can legally ride it and the price won't deplete in that time it's a win win.
So on that Monday morning I phoned wigan motorcycles to ask if this was actually true and that the miles on the advertisement were correct. The sales person said I will double check and phone you back in 5 minutes, and that is what she did, she came back and confirmed that this was the correct millage, and that it wasn't unusual for a bike to be brought back by the previous owner because they just didn't get on with the feel of the bike for what ever reason, and cut their losses.
So we started the buying process there and then with me putting down a £200 deposit. All I had to do was be patient for 3/4 days while they ran all the safety checks on the bike brilliant.
On the Wednesday I received the call I'd been waiting for, I can't describe how excited I was but I can imagine you have had that same feeling.
Anyway I pic up the phone only to be told that the bike didn't have only 10 miles on it but rather 410 miles.
My joy and my plan for hibernation of the bike was ruined, but after a little while I thought if they can do something on the price as a token of goodwill I will go ahead with the deal as we had got this far. But they said No and even at that mileage it's still a competitive price, of which I do not disagree with at all. But good will had left the building.
The 3 stars I have given are for that disappointment and lack goodwill

Very poor after sales service
I bought a KTM motorcycle from Wigan motorcycles in March 2024. The salesman I dealt with left the company soon after. I don’t know if this was the cause of the poor service I have received since, but the after-sales service I have received since buying a brand new bike from them earlier this year has been really appalling.
On receiving the bike I had to take it to my local ktm dealership who advised that the pdi had not been carried out correctly (if at all) with several issues, some of which were serious safety issues. The heated grips that I paid extra for hadn’t been wired up correctly. I didn’t recieve a tool kit with the bike (which after several phone calls and messages I did actually get sent one)
I sent a letter of dissatisfaction to the manager of the company that went without even an acknowledgement or response.
And more recently the bikes battery failed after 4 months or so of ownership when I was about to leave on a planned trip so I had to buy one from Halfords due to the circumstances- I had hoped that by contacting them, explaining the situation and providing receipts etc that the battery may have been either covered by warranty or I would have been refunded out of good will as the bike was literally brand new, kept in a garage and connected to a trickle charger . However, after several phone calls and numerous e mails since - all without any response at all, I find myself leaving this negative review. Buying a brand new bike should be a pleasure- on this occasion, it’s been a completely underwhelming and disappointing experience. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone and having bought several bikes from many dealerships south of the border ( I stay in Scotland), this has been the only time that I have had such poor service after the purchase.
Disappointed.

All sorted in the end.
I found a few issues with the bike after delivery which should have been picked up before it left the dealership. The bike was collected the next working day and came back having all been addressed and more besides.

SHOCKING SERVICE FOR RETURNING CUSTOMERS
They sold me a bike for £10,000 and less than 12 months later offered me just over £4,000 which means Im stuck with a bike I dont want and cant afford to lose £6000. I will never buy another Yamaha and will never buy another bike from these. absolutely shocking. made worse by them having a bike in the show room with over twice the mileage of my bike but have it up for nearly £3000 more than what they offered me. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER BIKE FROM THESE!!!

I enquired about a new 2024 Yamaha MT09…
I enquired about a new 2024 Yamaha MT09 model and ended up walking away from my purchase i intended to make.
Wigan Yamaha's website clearly shows 'WAS £10,100' and the apparent new price £9,885 which is trying to lead potential buyers to think they are making a saving when in fact they are not at all...
They are stating you can purchase the bike for £9,885 but yet if you did you will then pay the £215 OTR price which totals? Yeah you guessed it 10,100!!! So where is the saving, well you dont get 1.
Its a very bad sales tactic to just lure in potential customers to make a purchase who are falsely led to belive they will get the bike a bit cheaper, when in reality you wont!
So now i have got that off my chest i will now explain the nonsense i got from a member of staff i spoke to over the phone.I was told that Wigan Yamaha 'buy these in bulk so can do them cheaper than any other Yamaha dealer within the uk'.
I was then told the bike is 'about £9,100' which i knew they wouldnt sell for that so i really dont know what the guy telling me this meant or was getting at! As the conversation went on he said 'so this model is £10,100 and then you will have the OTR cost ontop making it £10,315!!!
As soon as he said that to me, aswell as what they state on their site that your apparently making a saving alarm bells were ringing loud and clear to me and i was no longer interested and knew this guy was trying it on.
I contacted flitwick motorcycles and i told them my experience with Wigan Yamaha. A member of staff at Flitwick Motorcycles told me to check the Yamaha EU website and that the cost is £10,100 with OTR included not £10,315 which i was told from Wigan Yamaha.
This member of staff at Flitwick motorcycles also told me he contacted Wigan telling them its really bad to be leading potential customers into thinking they are making a saving on their website and also it makes Yamaha dealers look bad...
Anyway i ended up putting a deposit down with Flitwick Motorcycles and im also doing a part ex of my 2022 MT09 so im gonna get the new 2024 MT09 for about 3 grand with part ex so im more than happy with that and the service i have had from Flitwick motorcycles...
Long story short... Stay away from Wigan Yamaha

First class service …
To purchase a bike when you can't see it in person (just pictures on website) can be unnerving, but dealing with steve(salesman) was great, was assured the bike was immaculate etc, arranged finance and after a couple of phone calls for piece of mind the deal was done, first contact Tuesday bike delivered Saturday 400 miles away, I have to say I was not disappointed, full valet and as described. I can't fault the hole experience and would definitely recommend and purchase again, once again Steve thanks 👍
Kind regards

Absolutely a 5-star experience
Absolutely a 5-star experience, buying a bike at a distance made easy and safe. A really good experience from start to finish. Dougie and team were great, kept me posted all the way along and always a fast and helpful response. If you're unsure about buying online - don't be. Great service all the way. Super nice delivery guy (Dave - I think??), who helped me with a lot of bike info, and finished the buying process really nicely. Highly recommended.

Purchase of Royal Enfield Scram 411... From a distance.
I recently purchased a nearly new motorcycle from Wigan Yamaha from nearly 200 miles away. This was the smoothest vehicle purchase I've ever experienced.
The chaps I dealt with (both sales and delivery) were friendly, professional, and informative in equal measures and I was pleasantly surprised at how effortless they made the whole process. Plus, I part exchanged my previous motorcycle and again, an effortless situation for me.
The bike was spotless. Everything was as I was told it would be, even down to the arrival being within 5 minutes of the ETA I was provided on delivery day.
If, like me, you have concerns about buying online, rest assured these guys will look after you and won't disappoint.
