The worst experience

I have had the worst experience with this insurance company. I got this insurance through my school as a student and no college i have ever attended has had a worse insurance policy. As others said, they take forever to process claims and pay, way beyond what they say is their timeframe. They don’t bother to let anyone know when an employee is let go and the company just lets that person’s paperwork pile up and disappear into the void. Not to mention that Wellfleet’s customer service is not customer service at all. They are extremely rude and will straight up argue with me. I would have never chosen this insurance and I can’t wait to graduate and get a normal health insurance through my job.

I am currently dealing with Wellfleet…

I am currently dealing with Wellfleet for my critical care insurance.Terrible customer service,insensitive..i didn’t pick this insurance company it was offered through my job..and like most insurance con they are designed to not help you receive claim funds..they drag out the case requesting unnecessary documents over and over again.no one ever calls you..if you don’t know anything they won’t guide you..my last call the representative was so rude I almost gave up.its a terrible company This rep was loud talking and rude..I’ll leave another review once the claim is completed

Deny, Delay, Defend

From a horrible experience, our family felt throughout that this company was a scam and I would advise any institution to change its insurance. Our son broke his arm at school and we sent the 20+ separate items to them, specifically along the documentation. WellFleet not only took time to process, denied asking for additional documents beyond what was required, and failed to communicate information clearly about the denials. This is one of these insurance that is playing a bureaucratic process that is designed to be incomprehensible and enormous time waste to avoid honoring its obligations. In the end, our claims were sent to collection and the school was kind enough to pay them. All of this was a sour experience and felt to us to be completely dishonest.

Poor leadership, direction and transparency in the company.

Poor management, lack of support and a lot of passive aggressive behaviors with a lack of transparency in terms of management responsibilities. Leadership in certain departments need work, the environment structure is punitive and disgraceful. Lack of core structured training for staff is highly noticeable in the work environment. CEO messages are unclear, ineffective and poorly communicated to his team, very superficial. He lacks credibility and integrity, especially in terms of his relationship with the founder of the company who contributed greatly to his success. Seeking short term success that will not sustain continued diversity and growth for the business.
