**NEVER, EVER USE URBAN JUNGLE / WAKAM INSURANCE SERVICES**

The WORST company that I have EVER experienced in my life.

Our home was burgled during the day, whilst my husband and I were working and the kids were at school. The scum cleared us out of everything we had built up over our working lives, expensive watches and jewellery, handbags, sunglasses, purses, clothing, electronics, anything and everything of any value.

They’d trashed our home and even hurt our 2 beautiful family dogs in the process.

I thought that was going to be our lowest point, but what followed was just as demoralising, heartbreaking and a time when you question individuals and company morals/behaviours.

We went through the process of engaging the police, submitting a claim for the loss and damages. From our first interaction with the Urban Jungle and Wakem, we were let down. Rather than helping us through the process, they made it a million times harder. Rather than giving us the their support and guidance, they did their best to disprove and invalidate our claim.

They scrutinised our personal lives trying to find reasons not to pay out, the first reason was that they had investigated and discovered that I’d had an unknown CCJ listing associated with my name for a parking fine that had been sent to a previous address that I’d lived at years before.

We appealed to the Ombudsmen and they ruled in our favour and overruled the insurance company, requesting that they paid out on the insurance we’d bought.

The insurance company then refused to pay out because we had started scheduled building work 5 months after we had been burgled Urban Jungle / Wakam had immediately cancelled our policy, so we were longer insured by them. It also meant that no one would ensure us.

At that stage, we had been working with the Ombudsmen & court for 2 long years, we were unable to get alternative home insurance as we had an ‘open claim’, so we were left exposed and vulnerable. The only thing that we had left was our home and we were unable to protect it.

Wakam and Urban Jungle are bigger and wealthier than us. They could afford to bring one excuse up after another to avoid having to actually pay anyone out. After 2 very long years, we had no alternative than to abandon our claim with them as we didn’t have the money or physical & emotional strength to fight them for an anymore.

The moral of my true experience is, read about the insurance companies - check all the reviews. Don’t consider just the reviews that say it was a ‘smooth purchasing process’. Look at the experiences that people have had when they have needed their insurance companies. When customers have actually needed the service that we pay for.

It would break my heart if others had to experience the awful ordeal we were exposed to.

Wakam / Urban Jungle made me and my family feel like we were the criminals, not the thieves.
In my eyes, Urban Jungle and Wakam were the most unscrupulous company that I have EVER dealt with.

Wakam! yet again.…

This insurance company's insured collided with my parked car in a car park and drove away without leaving any contact details. Witnesses saw the incident and took photographs giving full witness statements etc. That was back in mid June since then my insurance company has been trying to get a response apart from an initial acknowledging letter from wakam nothing!!. The insurance company have repeatedly sent letters etc. over a number of months. Today my insurance company informed me that legal proceedings are being actioned via their solicitors.

AVOID Wakam underwriters

My son has been waiting over a month to receive his money after his car was written off. Been advised that Wakam are not providing funds to pay in a timely manner. Avoid this underwriter you cannot speak to anyone they are based in France. Totally unacceptable there must be something the Ombudsman can do totally unprofessional.Quick to take the premiums 😡😡😡

AVOID AVOID AVOID

This company have re-branded from La Parisenne insurance but are still as bad if you read the reviews. They have no UK number listed on their website, which is outrageous that they expect you to pay international calling charged to call a French number and then told to send an email that no one responds to!
My accident was over 3 weeks ago and they still have completed their checks and I’ve been left as a single mother with no car.
I’ll be paying more attention to who the underwriters are on my insurance now and if I ever see this company name there’s no way I’ll be taking that policy.

Taxi driver reversed and hit my car in…

Taxi driver reversed and hit my car in feb 23 and then drive off. I contacted my insurance company ‘direct line’ who have been emailing them since feb without response. I have a witness statement and CCTV footage of the incident so it couldn’t be any easier to evidence liability. I have also emailed them several times without response.
Worst organisation I’ve ever heard off.
Can’t see how any insurance cover they offer their customers is valid.
