The customer service process is horrible

The customer service process is horrible. They use an automated attendant that sends "Need more information" to you, no matter what you ask or say.

When you get a person, they say they are going to get back to you, but never do.

The entire process is designed to avoid and delay.

What Verizon Did to My Business Partner’s Family Was Cruel

I’m leaving this review not for myself, but for my business partner and his family — people I know well and care deeply about.

Verizon terminated every phone line on their account without warning — including his elderly parents, who had just joined Verizon after leaving their previous provider. His father is in his 70s, recovering from knee surgery, and suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure. They had only been on Verizon’s plan for four days when their phones were cut off — no explanation, no transfer PIN, no way to recover their numbers.

I’ve watched my business partner spend over 20 hours trying to fix this. He was told the issue was resolved, but it wasn’t. His father’s number of over 20 years is now locked and inaccessible. Even worse, during this chaos, a close family member suffered a tragedy — and they couldn’t even reach him.

As someone who knows his parents personally, I can tell you they are good, honest, respectful people — and what Verizon did to them was not just wrong, it was cruel.

I would never use Verizon after seeing how they treated his family. And I’ll make sure everyone I know stays far away too.

Seemingly Fraudulent activity

Well, we just moved over to Verizon Business and it's the same problems. My wife left for Spain, so we called and all they wanted to do was sell me a "travel plan." I declined. I called today as my wife got a text message saying she could call the USA, text and had 5 gigabytes of data. The first lady today tried to sell us a $12.00 a day plan or "Travel Plan" again. Regarding the text message that my wife got she said it was an automated message, but it would be best if I got the travel plan. When I called her bluff and asked for a manager she stopped talking and then disconnected the call. The second lady, today, tried to sell me everything from the last two, but when pushed she looked at our plan and what do you know, international travel is included. When pushed she did send me a complaint form, but it was for a specific topic, which was not related!
Just tried again to complain and what do you know...the call got disconnected and they could not find a way to complain to corporate!

Horrible customer support

I called the tech support number listed by verizon, because I had a question for them. I was transferred to non-technical support, wasted 15 minutes, then the idiot I was talking to said he was on the line with tech support. I asked why I couldn't talk to them and he said for security reasons. Complete idiots.

Customer Service

Where to start…I’m currently on hold for call #34. Seriously #34! I placed an order through the Verizon App and it never showed. That was back on April 10th. It is now July 5th and I’ve spoke to 34 people now and finally got to the point where I was supposed to get a refund. That was a month ago! All of the customer service people promised my refund would be deposited by a certain date and it wasn’t. They even promised to add credit to my account 4 times now. Each one says they are making it their personal priority and chit never gets done. I’ve wasted over an hour on each call and likely a bit more than 2 days of my life waiting on customer service!
By the way, they over charge, crappy connection, and the worst service ever! I have 1 bar. Don’t be fooled by the advertising. “Best Network”, “more service area”, blah blah…every provider uses other providers towers and all have almost identical service area now.
Just stay away from Verizon. I wouldn’t be writing a novel here just to complain. MetroPCS was actually the best provider I ever had as far as customer service. My advice is I hope you guys can give the little guys a chance. Boost is even good.

Customer support lies

Texting with customer support and they have changed people texting 6 times. They keep lying and lying, saying that they are taking care of the problem, and when I ask them to email me the confirmation, they change people again. And expect me to send them my information again. I've been a customer forever and I am appalled. I've talked to 3 other people with the same horrible customer service.

Verizon is a horrible, horrible company with miserable employees that treat you like trash & waste your time

Verizon is a horrible company, they treat their customers like garbage, they waste your time and charge you for it, and they will steal from you whenever possible. I wasted 6 hours on the phone trying to get an order fixed that had mistakenly been returned to their warehouse as FedEx didn't knock on our door when they "tried to deliver it" - they told me that there wouldn't be any issue and that they'd place the order again for me, except that this time they refused to accept THE VERY SAME identity and proof of address documents that had been approved the last time. They then cancelled that order definitively and told me there's nothing that can be done and refused to tell me why. Trash company with unhelpful and untrained staff, and the most expensive service on the market. Don't get trapped, run away as fast as you can!

I am extremely dissatisfied with…

I am extremely dissatisfied with Verizon Business due to unauthorized charges and poor customer service. I was charged for two phone lines that I never used and had already canceled. These lines were on autopay, and when I noticed the charges, I immediately called Verizon. They assured me that the issue would be fixed and the charges removed, but nothing was ever done.

After porting my numbers out of Verizon, I received a bill. I paid my portion, but I was still waiting on clarification for the remaining balance. Verizon told me they would follow up, but they never did. Instead, I was forwarded to collections. Despite explaining the situation, I was told I owed over $1,300, which I had to pay to protect my credit.

As a loyal customer, this situation is unacceptable. I was charged for two unused lines for two years, which feels like fraud. I expect a full refund for these charges and a review of my account. If this is not resolved, I will be taking legal action and filing a complaint with the FCC. This should not happen to any other customer.

Verizon really needs to improve their technology because it doesn't work properly. I spent 3.5 hours on the phone trying to get a new line and the payment service still didn't work. Like why in this day in age would they put you through such a treaturous process and at the end i just hung up because i got tired of trying. They won't even offer anything for the inconvenience. Better service elsewhere i bet.

Verizon and their customer service are…

Verizon and their customer service are the worst. I lost my iPhone, and even though I had insurance, when I called customer service, they told me my insurance had been switched to a different one. When I called back, they told me the new insurance only covers online support—which means they ruined my original coverage.

Now I have no phone to use, but I’m still paying monthly for a phone I don’t have and for a service I can’t even use. Their customer service is completely unhelpful and lacks knowledge. I used T-Mobile for years and never had issues like this.

I also went to the Verizon store on State Street in downtown Chicago, and the customer service there was very rude and offered no help at all.

I’m going to cancel all four of my lines and go back to T-Mobile. I’ll never use Verizon again and definitely won’t recommend it to anyone.

Oh, and by the way, their monthly charges keep going up without explanation. Nobody can tell me why I’m being charged more this month.

I had to call SIX times just to get a router. Every time, I was told it was on the way. But none ever arrived — until the very last day, when two showed up at once.
Then, they tried to hold me liable for their mistake in sending multiple routers and tried to charge me for your incompetence.
Meanwhile, my phone service was completely unreliable: I couldn’t send or receive text messages, and I couldn’t call certain clients at all — costing me contracts, reputation, and income.
I went weeks without a fully working telephone because of your company’s negligence.

I have written to every email address I could find online, including the CEO of Verizon. They will hear about the appalling treatment I received.

In nearly 50 years, I have never been treated with such contempt and indifference by a company I pay for service. Never.

You have made it painfully clear that Verizon does not care one bit about what its customers request, as long as you can squeeze out a menial profit.

Nothing you say has any validity. I cannot trust a single word that comes out of your mouth.

The Frontline customer service reps will tell you what you want to hear just to get you off the phone and then when you finally do get escalated, you’ll get a woman like Wendy a “senior executive relations person“ whose job is to play tug-of-war with you until she deemed your case invalid.

The worst customer service I’ve ever received in my life

I will never do business with Verizon again and do not recommend them at all

Such a dirty company to deal with!

Verizon is the new AT&T. The only thing they are good at is billing you every month regardless of the quality and quantity of service delivered. Total criminals! The C level leadership should be ashamed of themselves, they have no conscience or integrity. They care only about getting paid and their stock price. Problem is that they are all filthy companies, TMobile, AT&T, Verizon, it doesn't matter which one they know if you want communication then you have to deal with these filthy sub humans.

I was roped in to getting Verizon at a…

I was roped in to getting Verizon at a Walmart. The phone I was given was useless. I work from home and have apps as a manager for customer service (oh the irony there). I spent over a year and a half struggling. My husband and I both had issues. My husband drives semi and had numerous issues having to stop at stores along the way. The switch over lasted a month and required 8 or more visits. A store cannot help if you buy from Verizon. You cannot visit just any Verizon must be a corporate Verizon which requires time and research. We went from Straighttalk at $98 per month to well over $160 per month. We did our research and decided to jump ship to Mint Mobile. We paid off our crappy Verizon phones and Mint could use our old Straighttalk phones. I called Verizon to see what was need to leave and told they would prorate any days for final bill. I gave the date. Day of switch had to go to Verizon and get assistance to make switch. Verizon said issue was with Mint and the corporate store had to call in themselves to surprise the issue was Verizon. Then came the threats we would be shut off after we moved. Not happy with my ignoring the foolishness we started getting monthly bills we owed. Today I decided to call and maybe get resolution. My hopes were too high. I called and AI put me in a never ending loop because it could not find an account with my phone number but would not give me a human. After 20 minutes I hung up. I call back a different number than one on bill that I googled. After a circle dance I got a real live human wo wanted to sell me on how awesome Verizon is-Save it sir not impressed. He had to get my permission to look at my account really a scammer is going to call with an issue of a bill. The agent says it shows a zero balance-then why I am holding a bill received today for May through June???? He researches assuring me it would be resolved. After the 3rd hold I got transferred to someone when I told them what was happening then immediately transferred me again like a hot potato. I get another person who wants me to start over. Nope not happening. New plan sending copy of bill with my bill for my time spent doing their job to CEO to be received and signed by them. I will also put a item on my credit disputing Verizon not able to get their stuff together and than a report to BBB. Yep billing for those hours as well. Well never be back.

I recieved a tv that was broken

I recieved a tv that was broken. I tried for several days to get ahold of someone. Was put on holed for 5 hours different times and passed around and then was told they couldn't do anything because it was more that 5 days since I got it. Wasn't told I had to report it with in 5 days. It is hard to report anything when you can't get a hold of anyone to help you. I've been with verizon fir 12 years planning on changing as soon as my contracts are up.

Bait and Switch

Got a free phone on verizon for any trade in however they charged me for the new phone every month. I call in and they promised they fixed the issue but they continue to charge me, tonight I spend 1.25 hours trying to fix the issue. Looks like a bait and switch. Nothing if free!!!!
