Do not book an event with this company!!
Both my wife and myself Signed up for the South West Maritime Academy sprint Triathlon on the 26th of August 2024. The event was cancelled and we were not informed. We had also booked nearby accommodation as we were travelling from Doncaster which we lost the deposit for! They won’t reply to Emails in relation to a refund. But let me tell you this Tri max events legal action to recover our money is under way after speaking with the Citizens advice bureau.
I did not get an email like Trimax events have said (checked junk folder too) DO NOT ever purchase a ticket for an event trimax are organising. Absolute waste of time.
If anyone else out there has also been ripped off please contact Citizens advice as they assist in a template letter to send out to the company!

Awful company. Signed up for Stroud triathlon on 1/9/24. I bought the ticket in January and started training in Feb. I’ve put my body through some gruelling training sessions for 6 months because I wanted to do well at the event. I dropped by the leisure centre the day before to see where I need to go the following day and they said it was cancelled. No reason, couldn’t care less. I did not get an email like Trimax events have said (checked junk folder too) DO NOT ever purchase a ticket for an event trimax are organising. Absolute waste of time.

Signed up for the South West Maritime Academy Olympic Triathlon on the 26th of August 2024- it was cancelled due to 'low staff availability due to a training day'. I have contacted them multiple times and radio silence, no response through email or the form on their website so £100 down the drain I guess.
I had purchased the refundable ticket as well for an extra 12 quid or so- what a waste.

I entered the 2018 Gloucester City Marathon arranged by Trimax events. Unfortunately they cancelled the 2018 Gloucester City Marathon and stated that entrants would get entry to the 2019 event instead. Disappointed but seemed fair enough so I waited till 2019. However, they're not running the event this year...

I've contacted Trimax many times directly for a refund but complete silence. I've even contacted Active.com who I purchased my place through and they're unable to get a response either.

I certainly wont be entering any further events arranged by Trimax!
