AVOID this medical travel insurance

We had an awful and dramatic experience with this company.
We purchased a medical travel
Insurance for my mother in law traveling to Colombia. She felt suddenly ill requiring urgent medical attention, hospitalization and ICU. She stays 3 days at the hospital and during that time, the insurance refused to cover any cost. During this awful time, we needed to chase them everyday to send authorization and payment. They never did. We can only praise the medical clinic to have continued the treatment despite the non payment of the insurance. My mother in law passed away in the hospital and no repatriation help was provided either. We had to involve our embassy to be able to repatriate at our own cost. This is NOT the medical insurance and the company to rely on. It was an absolute disgrace. You don’t realize how much you need medical support when you have a real emergency.

Careful. Scam

I bought an insurance with them for my parents. They got sick, used the insurance and they didn’t pay. They threaten to sue me if I post any negative review, but they are thieves and people should not trust this scammers!

Non-compliance with policies

Purchased Travel Insurance - Complete Fraud

Purchased a travel insurance policy for my mother in law coming to Australia. She had a fall at our house and broke her ankle that required surgery. TAS initially advised the policy does not provide cover for surgery. Then they declined to surgical costs because they considered the screws and plates needed in the surgery was prosthetics. TAS have declined ALL costs associated to this accident, including the initial time spent in the hospital, which they advised us to attend.

Scam

Scam. Please beware. I looked for an insurance to be used in Europe, specifically in England and in Germany, they offered me the Standard Plan, and then they sent me a certificate only in Spanish. When I asked for the version in English they replied the Standard Plan does not include a version in English, and I need to update to a more expensive plan to be able to download this.
I checked on the database of travel health insurances valid within Europe and this insurance is not even recognized as such. It is directly a scam.
BTW, the good reviews are fake, they are repeated with the exact same words, probably many of them written by bots, and not real people. Please take a close look before trusting.

THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE, THIS INSURANCE IS A SCAM, THEY DO NOT RESPOND.
Do not buy this travel insurance this company does not respond, I had an accident that caused me a dental emergency, and they sent me to two health care centers that did not have dental services, they wanted me to go to another city the same day that my return flight was leaving, I asked them to please provide me with assistance in my place of residence to avoid missing the flight, and they kept demanding me to go to the dental center in another city, but they were not willing to cover the costs of transportation and accommodation that this implied.
Then they called to tell me that given the inconvenience I could go to a dental center in my place of origin and half an hour later they called to say that it was not possible.
They also say all the time that the care is done by reimbursement, which indicates that they have no coverage for anything, they are not prepared for anything, this insurance is a SCAM, I had to have a private treatment. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT RESPOND. If a user buys travel insurance, it is to be cared for and to feel safe and secure. With this company I felt the opposite, I would not have bought anything.

No compren este seguro de viaje esta compañía no responde, tuve un accidente que me causo una emergencia dental, tuve que esperar 12 horas para que me indicaran un lugar al que pudiera ir para que me atendieran, y luego me enviaron a dos centros de salud que no contaban con servicios odontologicos. querían que me fuera a otra ciudad el mismo día que salía mi vuelo de regreso a mi pais de origen, les pedí que por favor me dieran asistencia en mi lugar de residencia para no perder el vuelo, y me seguían exigiendo que fuera al centro odontologico de la otra ciudad,(de la cual estaba lejos), pero no estaban dispuestos a cubrir los gastos de transporte y hospedaje que esto implicaba.
Luego me llamaron para decirme que dado el inconveniente podía ir a un centro odontologico en mi lugar de origen y media hora después me llamaron para decirme que no era posible.
Además dicen todo el tiempo que la atención se hace por reembolso, lo que indica que no tienen cobertura para nada, no están preparados para brindar asistencia, este seguro es una ESTAFA, tuve que hacerme un tratamiento particular. ESTAS PERSONAS NO RESPONDEN. Si un usuario contrata un seguro de viaje es para que le atiendan y se sienta seguro y tranquilo. Con esta empresa (si es que se le puede llamar asi) sentí todo lo contrario, no hubiera comprado nada y el resultado seria el mismo.

Adicional a esto, en cuanto a tu petición de ser atendida en tu ciudad de residencia uno de nuestros asesores te manifiesta que no es posible ya que tu asistencia de viaje finaliza una vez llegas a tu ciudad de origen, como se indica en el contrato de adhesión que te suscribiste al momento de comprar la asistencia, ya que en este mismo se deja plena constancia de que se tendrá cobertura solo en el país destino declarado por el cliente, y se excluye bajo cualquier premisa la cobertura en el país origen.

Nuevamente lamentamos lo sucedido en tu viaje, esperamos en una próxima oportunidad poder cumplir con tus expectativas.

Worst insurance I ever had!

Worst insurance I ever had!
I had an emergency in Switzerland, my son called several times to Bogota, there was NO answer. At last he called Spain. The instructions were given very spaced. Until they said, that I should not pay, I had allready paid, cause the hospitals office had to close. Afterwards they asked me for the receipts and I turned them in. Answer? We do not pay your emergency, because you did not call first Bogota for instructions.
I belief this is the trick this rats in this company use to refute to respond. As I wrote my first experience in spanish, they answered that I am not in their clients list. It is a lie! This company is a scamm. Do not fall in, do not buy this medical insurance, it is a fake. My case was 17th of august 2022. It corrects me allways to 16th. Another trick?
Whatfor am I going to write to this scammers, they will not respond, this insurance is full of liars and thieves.Today 11th of April 2023 I still have no answer. Thieves and scammers.
They tell me again to write them. That is to inpress, they won't respond, because that company is full of thieves and rats. Do not buy this "insurance", they will scamm you.

They are a scam

I really regret having chosen this insurance, as we had an emergency with my daughter (although not life-threatening), and I called them as soon as I arrived at the hospital, informed them all day long about what procedures were done, and when I sent them the invoices they responded that I hadn't respected their contract (you know, these 50 pages contracts they know nobody reads) and should have called them before even doing anything, which obviously I didn't know, and I really called them from the entry of ER so it's really too easy to escape their obligations this way. I really recommend others looking for an insurance to look elsewhere, this one is not trustworthy and will always find a way to not reimburse you.

Horrible roadside assistance - waited 5.5 hours

Horrible roadside assistance - as I write this we have waited over 5.5 hours to get towed. Automated system said they would be calling us but never did. Even after finally getting a live customer service person on the phone we had to wait and additional 3.5 hours on a 102 degree day for a tow truck to arrive. So pissed off right now we are considering cancelling our other policies with them because of how bad this experience was.

Potential Scam and poor service

This service looks like a scam for certain emergencies. We have been in a forth and back with this company, since July 2021 and their partner Protegetuviaje.com, about a bunch of bills to pay, due to a medical emergency, and they keep telling us the same message. Just delaying the case. We have visited two of the physical addresses (Panama & Miami) where they have referred the hospital and other providers to, for sending the invoices, and they do not exist or are different businesses. The client services staff are well trained on just avoiding and giving the same misleading response. In total it was just a $6k bill and they have not paid yet.
