My first microbrand watch purchase - and likely to be my BEST !
I decided for one of my new years resolutions that I would not wearing a black Casio digital watch, and instead buy five microbrand watches with a unique style to them, the best quality I could afford, that were 100m depth min waterproof (at least) and had a nice luminescence for night view. The first of the series of watch purchases was a steel automatic watch from Steeldive, (Cardiff UK), an SD 1938 with leather strap. rated to 200m. It is styled on a Panerai Radiomir Marina Militare (good luck if you know what that is, I didn't) but thats what the reviewers said. It was being sold on eBay at various prices and often around £150.00 but I bought it directly from them on Wednesday, for £104.99 including shipping. To my surprise it arrived this morning ! Its packaging was amazing, coming in a moulded foam inside, injection moulded PEL shipping box, typically used to ship electronics around the world. Lovely tags on the watch, a certificate and instruction booklet, and the watch itself wrapped in protective file, and lastly sealed in a thick plastic ziplock bag, Watch was ticking, time was correct, and it's now on my wrist. Brown strap is beautiful. I charged up the luminescence in a few seconds by pointing my watch at a spotlight, and it immediately had that satisfying green glow, which (for a few minutes) could be seen in daylight. I am absolutely DELIGHTED with (a) my purchase, (b) the price (unbelievable) and (c) the service from Steeldive has been amazing ! Find them by Googling steeldiveuk
