Disaster at the beach when a lens popped out of my prescription Ray Bans. These chaps sorted out a fix on the spot!! Helpful, friendly and quite good looking.

First visited Specs Opticians Derby 2002 .I have a very complex high index prescription. If you have an astigmatism, a hight index script a hight street Opticiabs are unable to deal with this level of complexity. They will go the extra mile and try and find the right prescription for your personal needs . Specs opticians make up your glasses on site ,repairs etc are done on site .Prescriptions from other Opticians are taken to make up your complex glasses. You get the excellent service and don't feel rushed at any point. When you have challenges with your sight choosing frames isn't easy...as in a word you can't see what you are choosing as you are looking through the frame only. Specs will ensure you leave with what you are happy with and your not treated like you are on a target driven production line.

I needed a replacement for a broken lens in a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses. Also new prescription lenses for two existing pairs of vintage glasses. Specs Opticians not only filled the brief, they completed everything in about an hour on the day I went in. Thanks Chris and Sian. Great service. I shall return!

I have been a Specs Opticians customer for the past 5 years, having previously been a customer of other opticians for 30+ years (both big chains and independents).

Their attention to detail and personal service seperates them from the crowd with nothing being too much trouble.

Given the choice, I don't think I would ever go anywhere else.

I’ve used Specs opticians for years and always find them to be the best in Brighton. They take the time to help you find glasses that suit your face, and have frames that are more special than your standard ones. I’ve tried other opticians but I always end up back here and I’m always pleased with the service. 👍
