Had to return my hearing aids for a 6th time ,in the 2 years I've had them.4th time same issue, they won't charge.on 2 occasions could be repaired in shop, different with the charging issues, normally you're waiting time is 2 weeks without,on the current issue (6/7/25)come Tuesday will be without for 5 weeks.Bellhill branch have never contacted me, always myself to make contact and get the same cross. On contacting H/O,I was told ,if sending your aids for repairing, expect a 4to 6 week waiting time. The service they provide is pathetic, all I can add is , Unless you really hate a person,?steer them away from Specsavers.

After sales service appalling
Hearing aids ordered. Not really been effective. Lost one and charger damaged while in holiday. Been absolute nightmare trying to order replacement one and new charger. How can giving a business money be so difficult. Think after sales service needs a major overhaul to be effective

great service at specsavers
today i visited Specsavers for a full eye check and specifically to have my eye pressures checked, as i have recently had laser treatment for high eye pressures.
all the staff were friendly and thoughtful, as i have scoliosis, and therefore find it difficult to use the testing equipment without the use of cushions etc to adjust my height.
The optician particularly was sympathetic to my request to find out my current eye pressures and went out of his way to make sure that the result was an accurate reflection of the current numbers. I cannot thank the staff enough for their ensuring that my visit was comfortable and addressed my needs.
Excellent!

Poor Communication, Extremely Poor Service
I have been waiting for 1 month for a pair of sunglasses I went in good time to get them done in time for holiday and I have now been told its 2 more weeks so in total 6WKS.
First inital apt was on 2 May today is 28 May - I have to wait at least until 9 June to see whats happening with my glasses. I stated the Process on 2 May as I have a holiday booked but have no sunglasses to take with me.
Hendon Sainsburys Specsavers are the worst in communicating I have constantly been chasing for an update and only in the 4 weeks have they contacted me only twice.
I will not be using Specsavers any longer - They shouldn't accept my frame if they cannot fulfil the order. Anyone who is thinking to use this company to glaze their own frames don't use Specsavers they are the worst and you wont get anything in return for over 1.5months but they demand a full payment. Today I have been informed of a partial compensation the amount of time its taken I should be entitled to at least 80%

On the 22nd of may I was booked in for…lied too
On the 22nd of may I was booked in for ear wax removal. After initial consultation the staff member said my ears were clear so they didn’t need syringing. I was charged £25.
At home my husband did hoppi candle therapy for me. Low
and behold a lot of wax came from my right ear.
I contacted spec savers, managed to get my money back.
What is wrong with supposedly trained staff theses days ?
This person thought she could fool me / lie to me.
I hope she’s learned a lesson from her dishonesty and unprofessional conduct!

Specsavers Home Team Surrey GU22 Appalling Behaviour
Specsavers Home Team Surrey GU22
Appointment Nov 24
We had a truly disturbing experience with the Specsavers Home Visits team covering GU22, Surrey. The optician, Nicola Dawson—a middle-aged woman—was condescending and openly hostile towards my 83-year-old mother. Nicola, addressed her in a loud, patronising tone and showed little patience when she needed extra time to respond. This behaviour was repeated throughout the appointment.
It was clear Nicola was eager to leave, seemingly preoccupied with personal matters as she complained to her assistant Zoe. At one point, she even rolled her eyes and remarked that their day was far from over.
Zoe, mirrored Nicola’s behaviour, appearing more concerned with gaining her approval than providing any real support. Rather than offering reassurance or professionalism, she adopted Nicola’s dismissive tone and was curt when I provided clarification about my mother’s medication. Neither of them introduced themselves or made any effort to engage respectfully. Instead, they carried on a casual conversation about internal Specsavers issues—completely inappropriate in a customer’s home.
We had intended to order two pairs of glasses, but the unprofessional and ill-mannered conduct of the Specsavers Home Visits team in GU22 left us no choice but to take our business elsewhere.
My family submitted a formal complaint about Nicola and Zoe. We received a response from Ariya, the franchise director for the area, who apologised on their behalf, however, she did not feel it necessary for Nicola or Zoe themselves to apologise for their obnoxious and upsetting behaviour in a retired couple’s home—which speaks volumes about the culture of accountability within this franchise.
If you expect dignity, compassion, or even basic courtesy for your elderly loved ones, a simple google search will display a number of results which will give you details on PROFESSIONAL Sight and Hearing teams that cover home visits for the elderly and vulnerable. I found a great company and they were shocked at Nicola and Zoe's behaviour and the inaction taken by the franchise director. The new company queried if Nicola had referred my mother for urgent follow up as a cataract was noted and it was discovered that she did not even bother to make the referral. This further proved how incapable Nicola was at doing her job as she did not deem it necessary to make an urgent referral. We knew Spec Savers was basic but clearly their stardards have slipped due to negligent staff.
My mother is enjoying her new glasses and she has had follow up care from a company that have been nothing short of attentive and caring. Just think before you subject your loved ones to Specsavers Home Visit Sight Team Surrey! 😱😠

Don't waste your money
I bought hearing aids costing nearly £2,000 - the biggest wastes of money ever. They don't worked and the after sales service is dreadful.

Specsavers Advance Elite.
I know that I have hearing problems. I had an hearing test where I worked about 20 years ago, the doctor who did this test told me and I quote ' you have destroyed your hearing, there is nothing that you can do about it' So, twenty years later I go to Specsavers thinking that maybe they can help. Specsavers did an hearing test and advised me to buy their Specsavers Advance Elite at almost £2,000, Honestly, they make so little difference and the sound is so screechy, how I wish that I had listened to that doctor but he didn't want to sell me a two thousand pounds pair of hearing aids.

BEWARE
I've always thought Specsavers Hearing team were good. However on this visit to my Mother ,who is nearly 102 and my Dad 101 ,with dementia , They decided to sell my Mother hearing aids for £1,999 . REALLY at 102! I would like to know the reasoning behind that advice . I cancelled the payment immediatly but beware if you have an elderly relation who believes evrything these people say

Never ever go to Specsavers (Hampshire…
Never ever go to Specsavers (Hampshire area) for ear wax removal They used microsuction and coudn't get all the wax out and thenused metal instruments. I told them it was painful but 'audiologist' said she was determined to remove it. 24 hours later I had an ear infection in both ears followed by cellulitis in the ear canal. My GP had to administer several courses of antibiotics to clear these very painful infections. 3 years on I've had a cholesteatoma removed, 3 hours of surgery. Consultant says it would've been caused by trauma to the ear canal and why should I be surprised as these 'audiologists' only have 1 days' training and are not CQC regulated. Shocking!

Specsavers poor customer service c I went to Specsavers in Weymouth Dorset…
I went to Specsavers in Weymouth Dorset in February 2025 for a hearing test and discovered I needed hearing aids in both ears ! I purchased hearing aids from then at a cost of £2000. I have had to return to the store three times as the hearing aids were not working the final straw was when the hearing aids suddenly stopped working while I was wearing them ! I returned them to the store and asked for a refund as the hearing aids were completely rubbish. I was told I needed to wait two days for a refund to be authorised and to go back today for a refund , which I did ! I have never been spoken too or treated so badly in my life ! After spending over 40 years in the retail trade I know how customers should be treated but specsavers don’t have any customer care at all they have now closed my account and I’m not allowed to go back to the store even for my glasses or eyecare my wife who was with me (as I am disabled ) was also told she would not be able to get her eye test or glasses there either ! And she didn’t even go there for hearing aids !! So I would say go elsewhere avoid Specsavers especially in Weymouth Dorset !!

Inner ear hearing aids
I have spent approximately £2000 on inner ear hearing aides.have been back to have them adjusted so many times and still can't hear TV or people talking. To get an appointment is a nightmare. The only way to adjust the aides is to have them do it so it gets done you go away and then try to get another appointment. Had mine over a year complete waste of money and time .wish I never bothered.

They are useless
I have given one star! That is being generous I’ve used specsavers fr about 5 years, the last time I went, they just used a machine and took about 10 minutes and told me the glasses I needed, I questioned about doing an ordinary test? Dont need to now the machine tells us everything, kept going back as wasn’t happy, sold Me some eye drops, even worse!
Went to a different optician who told me the glasses they sold me, wasn’t doing my eyes any good!
So now my wife and another friend won’t enter those doors of specsavers again, they should be shut down in WATERLOOVILLE.
