Do not buy: Structural Flaw in Soundcore Q30 headphones

I received the Soundcore Q30 headphones as a thoughtful gift. I’m not a heavy user — I’ve used them maybe 15 times — and yet, the headband suddenly snapped clean in half while I was simply removing them from my head.

When I contacted Soundcore support, I was told they couldn’t help me without a receipt — even though I provided clear photos and explained that this was a gift from someone who has since returned to Japan.
My dad kindly taped the broken arm so I could keep using them, but guess what? The other arm snapped in exactly the same place. Identical break, identical weak point. That’s not wear and tear — that’s a clear design flaw.

Since then, I’ve come across countless reports online of the same issue from other customers. This is clearly a fault in the plastic or hinge design, not a one-off problem — yet Soundcore refuses to acknowledge it or offer support if you can’t provide a receipt.

Soundcore claims to care about customer satisfaction, but refuses to acknowledge this pattern or offer a solution in cases like mine. This experience has left me feeling extremely disappointed and unsupported.

If your product fails under light use and known design faults are being ignored, what does that say about long-term quality and care for customers?

Until this issue is addressed properly, I wouldn’t feel confident recommending Soundcore to others.

Fell apart after 6 months, warranty was painful and they won't process it.

Product was great when I first got them. After about 6 months, the rubber started to de-laminate and come apart. Mean no more water proofing. Lodge a claim for warranty, process seemed easy, provided the details and photos. Told they didnt have black,but could replace with a white pair. I said okay and waited to receive the replacement. 2 weeks pass, still no replacement. I contacted soundcore they started to be painful, they wanted to restart the entire process and keep asking for more and more information to avoid processing the warranty.

In short, look for a better quality headphone from a brand that will actually support their products. Otherwise like me, your left with really expensive non waterproof headphones.

My #1 headphone brand

I recently purchased a pair of headphones and the checkout process was smooth, I even got a discount! My package arrived in just under a week, which isn't bad for shipping right now. There weren't any delays or anything and it showed up when it said it would. Nothing was damaged and I have no complaints :). Soundcore is my preferred headphone/ earbud brand because they're comfortable and the noise-cancelling feature is very useful and customizable. I also really enjoy that you can customize the audio experience, for example, you can set it to base booster, treble booster, or even the optimized sound for whatever genre you're listening to (pop, classical, rock, EDM, etc). I wear my headphones 24/7 and they last a long time. Heck, I've worn them to sleep and they haven't been damaged or anything (not that I'd recommend using them overnight lol). The battery lasts forever and (at least with the Space One headphones) you can barely feel them. I was having a lot of pain with my headphones rubbing my glasses against my ears so I switched to the Space One pair and I haven't had any trouble. All that to say, I definitely recommend Soundcore for anything audio-related.

A bunch of thieves

I attempted to return some earbuds. Soundcore stated I returned it too late. Soundcore kept my money and got their earbuds back that weren't used. Soundcore are thieves. I will never buy any product from them ever and at any time I can I will restate the above.

Soundcore Customer Service

Bought Liberty 2 earbuds from a third party seller through Amazon. They sounded great until they stopped working 14 months later. No response from seller despite multiple attempts. Reached out to Soundcore, they responded to every email I sent, and although they couldn't resolve my problem since the seller is not directly supported, they made every attempt and then some-even following up when I didn't respond. Eventually they offered me a discount on a future purchase, which was something they did not have to do. From now on I will only buy directly from the original seller, no matter what the product. Very impressed with Soundcore products, and customer service.
