I went to collect a letter today after…

I went to collect a letter today after waiting a week, and was told to come back 3 hours later when I was to pick up my daughter. I said to the receptionist it was impossible for me to come back down as I have other responsibilities and she said well Doctor Johnston is on annual leave and other doctors are on consultation right up to 5pm, so I said all of them ? She said yes I was astonished at her response, I said I would like to talk to a supervisor or manager and she replied "stop shouting at me" I said "who is shouting at you?" She was completely esculating the situation. Then a nice nurse approached me and took me aside and she listened to what I had to say without rudly interrupting and she explained that she understood and that there would be a doctor available to print the letter she also said that doctor Johnston was in today and the receptionist was wrong. I have no.issue with the doctors, nurses in that practise at all they are amazing at there jobs, the issue is the condescending receptionist with no care in the world for anyone but themselves. She could have sorted the issue at first point of contact and she just refused to do her job, instead she said "if u don't like it you can move surgeries?" I could not believe what i was hearing, (how unprofessional and degrading thing to say, knowing fine well the preasures on the NHS today) this is not the first
time I have had issues with the reception staff and it's always with the same individual wether it be on the phone or in person.
I sat waiting as directed by the lovely nurse meanwhile the receptionist behind the glass was literally talking about me for the whole surgery to hear and that wasn't the worse of it the worse thing was "she was totally lying and over reacting about the conversation that took place, going on like she was a victim" I can assure u, if anyone is a victim it was me being forced to be treated in such a bad mannor. I am absolutely astonished with her manipulation and rudness.
This Spacific receptionist needs more training and needs stopped before anyone else has the same experince I have.

UPDATE they have since removed me from the practice without good reason inhave requested a formal complaint to be opened and asked for a DSAR (data subject access request) I am absolutely mortified and really astonished that the practise manager could do this with zero grounds, I wasn't even contacted to give a statement and I have witness to the event. I will take this complaint all the way to the health board and also to.my lawyer I will not allow this to happen to anyone else. It's about time the people had a voice and when u express ur concerns we are not punished for it.

VERY POOR PROFESSIONALISM

After nearly two months of constant phone calls, wasted time and patience, I even spoke to a department supervisor, I finally got the truth from MY primary physician's office. I spoke to a department supervisor because I was getting the run around while trying to make two appointments. She was going to get to the bottom of the problem. Wanda was to call me back within an hour. Several hours later my primary physician called to let me know that Riverside Medical Clinic Brockton no longer accepts my insurance. Why could the department supervisor not tell me this after checking my file? Why was I not told this two months ago instead of giving me the runaround every time I tried to make an appointment? VERY POOR PROFESSIONALISM...in fact, they have none at all!

Bad scheduling- waited 5 weeks for apt , then was cancelled day before scheduled an appointment with a…

scheduled an appointment with a specialist at Riverside Medical Clinic 6 weeks ago, and my appointment was to be the day after tomorrow. I just now received a phone call (almost 4 pm) to say that the doctor wont be in the office Wednesday 9the day after tomorrow) because she does procedures on Wednesdays . Why would they have me wait 6 weeks for this appointment and then a day prior they cancel due to her not being in the office on Wednesdays - why did they give me this appointment in the first place on a Wednesday when they now say she is not in the office on Wednesday to see patients? The soonest appointment I could be given was in May , or I could take a phone apt for over a month from now, in April. Even though I am hard of hearing , especially on telephones, I took the appointment because I really need to be seen. I have issues I am worried about. Who and why is scheduling so bad?

Definitely recommend

I have been a patient here for about 7 years and my doctor is Dr "G". Some years ago I had Dr "H" and also a good one. I sometimes can give 5 stars and sometimes 3 but overall they do a really good job! There are a lot of good things about them and I think they do a good job of giving care. If I am not so happy that is always due to the limitations of my health plan and the common rules that doctors are going to follow. They have 3 ways to get a same day appointment and the usual wait time is a few days to a month usually. My doctor helps me a lot in some of the ways that I need with my own specific needs and I appreciate that. All the staff is good and professional.
They are fast with most referrals- very few problems there. With all the details they must operate under it is really a very good office so I am recommending them if you need new doctor. If there is an issue they do try to resolve it with you. They operate under the rules as an HMO which is my insurance, Yours might be different and they will follow that as well.

Terrible Patient Care

I have been a patient at Riverside Medical Clinic (RMC) for more than 15 years and, for a long time, I was happy with the care they provided. However, in the past 5 years, that level of care has not only declined significantly, it has bottomed-out! It's expected that problems will occur from time to time but, in the past, customer service was very responsive. Those days are over. I have contacted customer service 3 times in the past few years but never get anything more than an acknowledgement. No follow-through. Also, depending on the issue you report, sometimes you get referred to Risk Management instead of Customer Service, which really just means they're trying to cover their asses. RMC has recently lost a lot of doctors because it's clear they are no happier with the clinic than their patients. I have visited one of the satellite offices in my neighborhood for many years, but my doctor left in early November and, more than 5 months later, there is still no doctor assigned to that office, forcing me to drive to the other side of town to be seen. Recently I tried making a same-day appointment but couldn't get in and had to go to Urgent Care. What a disaster. Though I was primarily there for a severe earache, I also had some symptoms that could be covid related and was told I had to wait in my car. I sat there for nearly 2 hours and had to call and complain to be seen. I was told that patients with more serious conditions move in front of me but this is Urgent Care, not the Emergency Room. If patients have emergency conditions, they should be in the Emergency Room, not Urgent Care. In Urgent Care, they should be seen in the order they arrived. Just stupid. Also, it was a hot day and I was sitting in my car in the sweltering heat. Furthermore, I needed to use the restroom and didn't know what I should do. I called the Urgent Care to explain my situation and the very rude and unprofessional receptionist told me I could come in and use the restroom and then return to my vehicle. If I was being isolated because I had symptoms that could be related to covid, why wasn't I given a covid test? Because I believe they're incompetent, that's why! After I complained to customer service, within a few minutes I was called by the doctor who asked why I was sitting in my car. When I explained why, he said "that's protocol" but still didn't offer to give me a covid test. My exam took less than 5 minutes, I was given a prescription for an ear infection and sent on my way. Now 5 days later, my ear feels better but the other symptoms I was experiencing have worsened because I believe I may have covid and they missed an opportunity to test me for confirmation. Beyond this recent situation, it is nearly impossible to get in to see a specialist in a reasonable time. Sometimes it takes months. They clearly don't have enough doctors to accommodate their patients because hiring more will dip into their profits and they're nothing less than a money making machine. The Riverside Medical Clinic epitomizes what's wrong with our healthcare system. They seemingly care more about profits than patients!
