UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF, OLD EQUIPMENT
Only one bathroom so always a line that takes up time to wait, the staff is horrible and rude, especially one hispanic woman (I won't share name, but she works at Diamond Bar location as well). She was literally speaking loudly with another staff and cursing about something personal while people were testing.
Equipment is glitchy, slow and freezes which makes an already stressful experience so much worse! Lastly, many people come take tests here for different things so it's super distracting when they are fumbling with papers, binders and calculators for their tests which allow this while I was trying to read long paragraphs and concentrate for my test. I think Prometrics should NOT be used as a vendor considering all the horrible experiences have reported over years now

I wish I had researched this company prior to signing up
I wish I had researched this company before deciding to do a remotely proctored certification exam, but I never would have expected that ASQ would contract for services with such a horrendous provider.
The amount of information provided prior to exam day was wholly inadequate to explain the many limitations of their application. It clearly hasn't been tested on newer builds of Windows. You can't even progress to a system test unless the application has successfully installed, and there is nothing to indicate that it hasn't installed properly until you go to use it. On exam day it just loaded endlessly. I rebooted, uninstalled and installed again, called ASQ and obtained a number for Prometric. Their tech support di not resolve anything, so I grabbed one of my older laptops and successfully installed the application, only to learn that their chat freezes if you're using a touchscreen laptop (per the proctor), so I was forced to log out (i.e., start all over) and disable the touchscreen. After doing so, logging back in, going through the ridiculous examination of the entire room contents, including under the lamp and the ID I just placed on the desk, for a second time, I was told that the screen lock needed to be on to prevent screen rotation as that had disabled the chat 'feature' once again. As this setting was grayed out (not available to change), this would have involved locating and disabling the correct driver. As I'd already spent well over two hours trying to get their crappy application to work by downgrading and disabling common laptop tech, I decided it was time to get ASQ involved. Seems the American Society for Quality should practice what it preaches when it comes to selecting service providers.

Horrible Customer support and experience
The worst customer support I have ever experienced. I have use many proctored softwares in the past to no issues. I took off a day of work for an remote exam through prometric and after 3 hours of customer support phone calls I was told the only option was they could reschedule a week later due to an Issue on THEIR end. disgusting and unacceptable dont see why any organization would use this software.

One of the WORST experiences ever
One of the WORST experiences ever. I had to change desktops/laptops 4 different times because some of my devices were “prohibited”.
They absolutely nitpick every single step of the way.
I spoke to many people because I had to change devices so many times and every single one had extremely thick accents. Not just accented English. It literally sounded like they were speaking a completely different language at times.
Because I couldn’t understand them, apparently I “violated one the rules.” that violation was literally just me getting water on my break. The lady in the beginning told me that as long as I stay in the frame of the camera I can do that. Then on my break, they assigned me a security agent who told me that I in fact it wasn’t allowed to do that and they’re forfeiting my exam and reporting me to the test sponsor.
When I tried to clarify the situation, they were very disrespectful and tried to rush me off the call.
Hopefully other people have better experiences, but if anyone is looking at this, I absolutely would NOT recommend testing remote with prometric.

I would rate lower if I could. Horrible experience
I would rate lower if I could. Took 4 attempts to make my home office "acceptable" to their testing. Each proctor came up with new things to complain about. First one was rude. All were barely intelligile with their accents and sound system. Nothing like being made to feel like a criminal in your own home. As a professional, this was unacceptable. All proctors are overseas, heavy thick french accents, and a couple were downright rude. No wonder they don't want you recording, because they don't want to let out to the world how horrible their customer service is. Yes, I passed, but the 1 hour it took to clear their "proctor security" was outrageous. Each time I had to log in and out. When it was all done, their invasive software screwed up my monitors on my computer which took another 30 minutes to resolve. Find any other testing center other than these people.

If I could give minus 10 I would
If I could give minus 10 I would. This company is based overseas and I a disgrace. On two separate remote exams I was cut off by them, not my connection. I am fighting to have 2 x £105 refunded by them. The staff are rude.
A word of advice do not sit a remote exam with them. Go to an approved test centre as it's far less hassle.
Prometric are a shambles of a company.

My recent experience with Prometric was…
My recent experience with Prometric was extremely disappointing. The entire process lacked clarity and basic communication. There was minimal information provided before the exam, making it difficult to feel adequately prepared for the logistics of the test day.
Support was virtually nonexistent—any attempt to seek clarification or help was met with generic responses or unhelpful directions. To make matters worse, there was no follow-up or courtesy email after the exam to confirm that it had even taken place. For an organization that handles high-stakes testing, the lack of professionalism and support is unacceptable.
I expected a much higher standard of service and communication, and unfortunately, Prometric did not deliver.

I would give this company a negative o
I would give this company a negative o. I had an exam in the evening partly because of my work schedule. Once I figured out what I was doing wrong, I finally got into my first proctor and was told I couldn’t have my dining room chairs next to me for some odd reason as well as tablecloth below my table ( table has enclosed shelf for storage). Like I’m hiding the answers and am going to bend down to cheat; he was difficult to understand and abruptly ended session prior telling me what to do. The second proctor had me spinning around in my room (I was using my ding room with windows which were covered and no door leading into kitchen so I had to cover it with a mattress).I don’t remember how many angles I had show but it was ridiculous forcing my emotions and disgust out toward the proctors. They both had thick accents which made it difficult and I felt they were extremely rude. I don’t know what this company expects but if I’m able to secure another exam and I need to use them I might consider asking the jail if they have an empty cell I could use so I could guarantee getting through the interrogation. Sadly I never got to take my exam due to my frustrations because of them.

I gave this a 1 star as it was the lowest I could give. This company is the most frustrating company that I’ve ever dealt with. I feel bad for the employees that work there as the leadership is atrocious. The supervisor Kristina Vest doesn’t deserve her supervisor role. She refused to help me get my issue resolved. Each time making excuses like not having a headset to talk on the phone. I had to call 4 times to get my issue resolved. Each time spending around 2 hours in the phone. They would open IT tickets and then nothing would be resolved. Avoid if you can.

Doctor's note provided still got rejected
They asked me to provide a doctor's note to appeal the $250 exam reschedule fee. I submitted it, but they declined my request. When I asked for a reason, they did not provide any. What an awful company.

The system flagged false issues
The system flagged false issues, such as a camera blur effect (which I did not intentionally activate), and I was forced to remove furniture from my space, repeatedly show personal belongings, and deal with multiple agents giving me conflicting instructions. The emotional stress, combined with the length of time I waited and the lack of empathy or accessibility, completely undermined my ability to take the exam fairly.
I have a copy of Prometric’s response (Ticket #05711309), where they acknowledge that I had to restart the system multiple times and encountered several blocks in the process.
This experience has severely impacted my mental health. I respectfully request:

Prometric is an Absolute Disaster
Prometric is an Absolute Disaster – Avoid at All Costs
I’ve never experienced a more chaotic, unprofessional, and utterly negligent company in my life—and that’s saying something. I was in the middle of a critical, state-sanctioned exam when I was abruptly disconnected. No warning, no explanation. Just gone.
Naturally, I tried calling for support. What followed was a complete circus. I was handed off five separate times, not one person even pretending to care, let alone offering a solution. Most didn’t even seem to understand what I was saying. And then—radio silence. I was forced to call the sponsor of the exam (which shouldn’t even be my job), who contacted Prometric and told me they might be at lunch. Seriously? A three-hour lunch? During testing hours? On a Thursday afternoon?
Let me be crystal clear: it has now been over three hours, and not a single person from Prometric has followed up. No email. No call. Nothing. I’m still out the fee I paid, and I’ve lost hours of my time—not to mention the stress of being completely abandoned during a high-stakes exam.
This level of incompetence would be laughable if it weren’t so infuriating. How a state-sanctioned exam gets outsourced to a company with this level of disregard for test-takers is beyond comprehension. Prometric’s entire operation feels like a racket: take your money, disappear when things go wrong, and force you to chase down answers they should be providing.
Do yourself a favor: if you have any choice in the matter, run—don’t walk—away from anything associated with Prometric. They have no business administering anything more complex than a coin toss.

Abusive incompetent staff
I can’t believe how unprofessional, rude, condescending and downright abusive the staff was at a testing center for professional exams. When I walked in, nobody greeted me so I looked around to see what I was supposed to do and I saw a sign that said next test take her sit here so I sat down. Immediately, the woman who checks you in and IDs you, screamed at me to get behind the line, “Did you not read the sign?” Referencing the little tiny placard on the ground that I did not see. I proceeded to give all my information and she berated me that I was late- I was not late. I asked her to have some common courtesy when this is already an anxiety deducing situation and she showed no empathy. She proceeded to pull a Karen and tell me this interaction was being recorded, which I shrugged and said OK? And? She clearly was not educated on the rules of her own job because after I put my stuff in the locker, I was told I wasn’t allowed to use the bathroom, which was not true. The woman in security asked me if I wanted to go and I said no because I’d like to get out of here as soon as possible. I was literally shaking from how hostile and abusive the women was. A complete sociopath. Absolutely disgusting conduct. I filed a complaint directly with prometric, but I doubt anyone will even care because it seems like nobody there cares about the conduct in their facilities. We are test takers- not criminals entering Guantánamo Bay. I luckily passed my exam, but the excitement of it was completely ruined by the abuse that I was subjected to the minute I walked in the door.

If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would. I’m writing this as a warning to future test-takers considering Prometric’s remote proctoring service: be extremely cautious. My experience not only cost me time and money, but it was also incredibly disheartening and unfair.
I took a certification exam through Prometric’s remote platform this morning. During my scheduled break, I took a sip of coffee, and the proctor abruptly terminated the remainder of my exam, citing it as a breach of protocol. We were told we could leave the room during the break, and only that using personal items and electronic devices was prohibited. At no point was it made explicitly clear that drinking water or coffee during the break was also against the rules.
This lack of clarity is unacceptable. In all the exams I’ve taken in my academic and professional career, I’ve never encountered a situation where drinking during BREAK TIME leads to exam termination. If such a rule exists, it should be communicated explicitly—separating it from broader “personal items” language that would reasonably interpret as referring to phones, notes, or other electronic devices by most people.
Months of preparation, financial cost, and emotional energy were invested in this exam, and to have it taken away in such an arbitrary and unclear manner is both unjust and deeply frustrating.
Prometric, I sincerely hope you take feedback like this seriously and reassess your policies, training, and communication protocols for remote proctoring. Candidates deserve clarity, fairness, and respect.

I usually do not give bad reviews, but this was one was a must. It only received one star due to the last employee helping me! Prior to that, it would have been 0!
I usually do not give bad reviews, but this is definitely necessary and needed to do so.
I have NEVER had such a horrible experience in taking a state exam remotely. The process began as it usually would by having the initial proctor go through the usual steps to make sure I was eligible and prepared to complete the exam.
After I finished with that process, I was essentially put back in the waiting room to wait for my exam proctor to show up; however, I never saw her. Instead, she sent me some messages via the chat after waiting about 5 minutes for her to show up.
However, the kicker was during the exam. I was literally almost finished with the first part of the exam when out-of-the-blue, I received a message that said my proctor disconnected the exam. I had 16 minutes with two unanswered questions left before this issue had occurred. As frightened as I was due to me getting kicked out, I was a little bit relieved when I saw that my time and data would not be affected due to this matter.
I received another proctor and she told me to exit out of the application because it was an error via technology, and I would not lose the ability to continue. However, when I got back on, I was not able to reconnect and was instead provided the phone number for Prometric to have this issue resolved.
After going to several different departments and speaking to several different employees regarding this matter, I was able to get a nice, direct, and helpful employee by the name of Shinie, who was able to assist as to steps to take next.
She informed that from what she could see on her end it was a system error, where there was no way that it could be rectified by reentering the examination, and that was one of the downsides essentially of doing a state exam remotely. She informed me that if this matter happened at one of their testing sites, then I would have been able to resume the exam as stated because one of their technical support specialist could assist with the matter.
This whole process costed me 3.5 hours of a headache with also having been given incorrect information.
If you can avoid Prometric proctor, please do so at ALL cost. This will help you in having peace of mind, time, and sanity.
Prometric, if you as the company is reading this, then please do a solid in getting competent and caring workers who can do their jobs efficiently. Please make sure that they are able to provide accurate and efficient information who actually care about the issues regarding the customers because time is money and livelihood is a value!
In case anybody needs the phone number for Prometric issues regarding this matter, I have provided it below:

Worst exam experience
I would honestly give 0 if I could.
The people working for Prometric are like robots. I paid $700 for an exam that I couldn't even see because I was not able to pass the room check. I found a closed office coworking place for rent because I don't have any closed room in my house apart from my bathroom. The office was not accepted because there was a window, which was half frosted (you could only see people's feet if someone past through the hallway). The window was behind me, so I was not even able to see it. I was told to put a blanket on it, which I couldn't do because, well, it's a rental and I don't usually have blankets in my bag. I ran back home, covered my bathroom frosted door, hid everything I could, put a desk in the bathroom, and I again, was told ''Bathrooms are not accepted.''. Why ? No specific reason, it's just like this, and there is absolutely no information about this anywhere. I don't have closed rooms, I have pets and people living with me. So I guess I need to move in a bunker to be able to pass an exam with Prometric ? A bit of understanding would be great. You can clearly see me in the webcam, if I was trying to cheat by bending over and looking at people's feet, just give me 0, but this situation is just ridiculous.

Really bad choice of choosing Proprotor…
Really bad choice of choosing Proprotor as the remote agent and intrusive experience of examing candidate house, asking to remove personal belonging which are irrelavant to the exam. For me, the TV power was on and what has a TV to do with exam? also under the table, empty the pocket. we are exam candidates and not prisoners. I seriously ask prometric center to consider change the vendor proproter ! I would never ever use the remote exam again

Prometric SUCKS
on their website ... you have to ask for help WAY in advance! "Submit your accommodations request with your exam sponsor at least 90 days prior to your exam date and contact Prometric at least 60 days prior to your exam to be assigned {an} Advocate..."
The testing center computers are like dot-matrix in GREY writing NOT black with a TINY font ! Prometric SUCKS - why is there NO alternative. People are going for PROFESSIONAL exams and are treated like they are entering a plane to a third world country! How is THIS the only way to take professional exams - Is this a monopoly - what happened to ANTI-trust laws? I think it's time for class action lawsuit!!! Let's step back in time to 1980's for the MOST IMPORTANT test taking process in our lives!! THIS is sooo un-American - I am sure this company is owned outside U.S. that why it SUCKS so bad!!

the worst experience in all my career
the worst experience in all my career.
i was scheduled to take an exam at 10:30. as i like to be early to most things, i started attempting to find a proctor at about 9:30 to be safe. from here, i went through proctor after proctor for i’m not even joking.. the next THREE HOURS. each time someone new came they’d tell me something was wrong with my surroundings. i had to scan my room over and over again and they made me do things like take blankets off a chair next to me.. ask me to try again because i had CAT TOYS on the floor five feet away… i had to show them every inch of my lava lamp to make sure it didn’t have any “spy gear” i basically went through my room like a tornado trying to make them happy. one lady had the audacity to tell me to remove my CAT LITTER BOX from the room since it was within arms reach. moving furniture?? are you kidding me??? this is supposed to be a remote exam.. do they just expect you to have a lifesize cardboard box to sit in? also.. to make it even worse, each person has different rules? i was NEVER told i needed two forms of ID.. randomly some lady asked me for two and then said my second one was invalid because it only had my first name. then again, i was asked “do you have our headphones that you need for this exam?” dude what… no one ever mentioned that before and again.. my testing company didn’t say i needed headphones. so after an hour or so, i said screw it i’ll sit in my car.. OH GUESS WHAT you can’t take the exam in your car.. so i tried my bathroom.. and this snotty young girl said “sooo you can’t take this exam in a bathroom” why???? please tell me why. genuinely they would have found something wrong with any room i was in. they had no concern for MY TIME or scheduling since at the very end it was already over an hour past when i was supposed to start. they’re ridiculous and rude. it’s humiliating. i was clearly upset and stressed out and ripping my room apart in front of these people and they say “are you gonna take longer than a minute? cus ill need to disconnect you.” what’s even dumber is they would take you through the whole security thing and scan every inch of you and your room and then be like “oKaY i haVe tiP for you”
and then bring up something from the very beginning and say i needed to disconnect and start all over. dude tell me that in the beginning.. stop wasting my time. i just don’t understand any of it because i will be recorded during my test.. if im digging through my LITTER BOX for answers im sure you’ll see. all this stress for such an easy exam too.. even if i was a cheater i would not need to for this one. let’s chill out.
this must be so fun for them.. seriously Prometric.. YOU SUCK BIGTIME.
do not use this company. sorry you expect us all to have a white square room with absolutely nothing in it to test in. if i knew that was the case i would have just taken it in person.
after all this, i didn’t even get to take my exam.
