Very effective as bedding for horses, I have found them very absorbent. I also appreciate that the bags are returnable

Pelletbeds were great

Pelletbeds were great - good communication and when the pellets DIDN'T TURN UP - pelletbeds took it on, chased the transporter and found the 'lost' or 'misplaced' pallet of pellets. Product great.

Ordered a mixed pallet which when delivered was all straw pellets.

Ordered a mixed pallet which was received after a lengthy wait and to find it was all straw pellets. After months of waiting for the Miscanthus pellets to be delivered I gave up I bought bedding from elsewhere. They eventually came and collected the unwanted and unordered straw pellets and refunded approx five months from the original order.

Took 6 weeks to deliver . And delivery was a shambles . Didn’t turn up on the promised day and then turned up the day before the rearranged day !

Where is my bedding?

I order my pellet bedding on October 16th and have still not received them! This is the 1st communication that I have received. When I go to my account it just says that the order is pending! Feeling frustrated!

Jacqui - we are sorry, but due to demand, as per our website messages, it is now taking us approx. 3.5 weeks to deliver. We have also also decided to take take products out of stock until we reduce this backlog

first time we put miscanthus pellets in…

first time we put miscanthus pellets in we piled them in the corner of the stable ,as we had with wood pellets . Rio ,our horse , dived into them like a kid in a sweetshop .After dragging her off we cleared the spare pellets from the stable and made sure all pellets were covered with shavings .As an underlayer they work well absorbing the wet ,but we have to cover them .

Dennis - im pleased the pellets are absorbing well - the offical tests we had carried out showed the miscanthus pellets absorbing up to 570%. As with all pellets we would recomend wetting them and allowing them to expand when first used, but it is unusual for a horse to persist in eating them.
Our equine Max 6mm straw pellets are softer than the 8mm equine Pro miscanthus pellets (more similar to feed nuts) so tend to be less attractive and as they are small in diameter they will also fluff up very quickly. We will also be introducing a softer 6mm miscanthus pellet in the next few weeks. David

Bad Communication!

I ordered and received notification that the order was being processed. That was more than 2 weeks ago. I have had no other communications from pelletbeds. Their website says they may take up to 3 weeks to deliver but I wouldn't have expected to have to go hunting for that information.

We apologies, but as explained on my call to you we are recieving over 5x our normal orders so placed a message on our website home page, order page and delivery section over 6 weeks ago - explaining that it is now taking us approx. 3 weeks to deliver from order - (in late September it was 2 weeks, from October we extended to 3 weeks)
You should have seen the information before you placed the order - but from Monday we will also try and email or call customers on a weekly basis to keep them informed of progress. We are also in the process of installing more capacity so hopefully can reduce the waiting time on orders David

Ordering was easy however was disappointed in the lack communication regarding the status of the order. Once contacted received a phone call so the personal touch went a long way.
