Park by the Ports saved the vacation!

Park by the Ports saved the day and my holiday travels.
Easy to make a reservation at a reasonable price. Customer serviceis outstanding!! Was booked with another company who failed to even let us know they weren't picking up at that location anymore. Although refund was issued from other company, I and my family were stranded in FLL with no place to park for an extended time.

Instructions on what to do when returning to the country was also clear! Was able to book the night before, and drivers to and from the airport were pleasant, helpful and professional.

Definitely our only choice when parking in FLL!

They picked us up at our parking location but no return; had to make a long, strenuous walk while the driver cooled his heels under the canopy.

We were able to get a shuttle to the Fort Lauderdale airport in the middle of the night. Very few offer that service. When we flew back to Fort Lauderdale, one phone call and they came to pick us up at their special location in 10 minutes. Could not be more pleased.

I paid for 3 spots for an April 2020 cruise. Then Covid 19 shut down the industry. I didn't ask for a refund but verified via email I could park there when cruise industry was back in business. Now I email to make sure when we arrive in September of 2021 my spaces would be available and I learn that they no longer serve Port Canaveral (I had NO idea) and I missed the window for any kind of a refund!!
I didn't ask for a refund when I knew they had zero income and now it's simply too late for even a partial payment.
$105 gone.

WARNING!! DO NOT PARK HERE

WARNING!!! DO NOT PARK HERE!!! The parking lot is defective and prone to flooding. It slopes in certain areas and they have a drainage problem. We parked there in December 2019 and were not notified that many cars, including ours, were damaged/flooded due to some rain in the area. Others have reported the same issue, last year. We wish we would have read the comments!!! They will not take any responsibility for the defective lot. We found out when we got into our car. PLEASE LET EVERYONE KNOW!!!!

Hyun,

It is completely false that someone reported it other time other than from 12/23/19. This was the only time we had this severe record breaking 10-inch rain, flash flood, and even tornados all in the same night. The flash flood affected all of south Florida, but primarily Ft.Lauderdale, Hallandale, and Dania. Even the airport closed down for a few hours due to flooding.

We have never seen anything like that before and it is highly unlikely to see anything like that anytime in the near future, but we have been in talks with casino and city to find solutions. It breaks my heart that this happened to you and to some of my customers; we even had 2 of our own PBTP shuttles experience flood damage.

The only option is to contact your insurance company and they will be able to better assist you with how to handle the unfortunate situation. Best of luck Hyun.

Park By The Ports (Port Everglades) - never again

We got out of the Port Everglades cruise terminal at about 9:55 Sunday morning. I saw many pick-up vans from other companies at the curb but none from Park By The Ports. I called their number and reached a recording that said to press 2 for cruise line pickups. That transferred me to another recording that said something to the effect that that selection was not valid. I called again, made a different selection and finally reached a human being, who told me I was standing at the wrong place and that I should “walk all the way down to the right” and look for a black van. My traveling companion and I did as instructed, but no black van was found. After about 10 minutes, I went back to where we started and saw a WHITE Park By The Ports van loading passengers. The driver told me that his van was full but another one we be coming in 10-15 minutes. We schlepped our bags to that location and finally boarded a van. The entire waiting process took about an hour. During that time, I saw many, many other van services picking up people. In my opinion, Park By The Ports is disorganized and very slow. I would not use that company again.

FLOOD DAMAGE

FLOOD DAMAGE! I am on the same spot. I left my car at Park By the Ports on 12/19. The Parking lot flooded a couple of days later and I was never notified. I arrived on 12/31 at 9:00pm to find the car sat there wet for a week, grew mold inside and now I have a huge issue as my insurance will not total the car, and are only doing minor repairs. After this my 20K car won't be worth half of that at best, not to mention the major issues I am certain to have with it.
The issue is - the Flood is an Act of God and no one could have foreseen it. But If I HAD BEEN NOTIFIED i would of immediately moved the car to the dealership 10 miles away and had it opened and cleaned and that would of been the end of it. Rather, it sat there and molded for over a week, and all that humidity seeped into the door sides and the dash, causing major damage to my car - but because there isn't a "water line" in my dash, the insurance won't total it. On 1/1, when I went back to get the car towed, I asked why I was not notified - it I was told they were instructed by their layers not to contact people. By doing that, people were not given the opportunity to take action. Those 8 days my car sat wet, closed in the heat made all the difference. I would absolutely join on a class action law suit. I had JUST purchased my car and this is going to represent a huge financial loss for us. The actual Flood happening is a Force Majure, but choosing not to notify people of the incident, to me, is pure negligence.

Jim,

You are spreading false information, spamming all the sites.

We have been at this location for 2.5 years. I have lived in the area for 25 years and have never seen anything like what happened.

12/23/19 there was a record breaking 10 inches of rain, flash flood, and tornado. All of south Florida was heavily affected especially Ft. Lauderdale, Dania, and Hallandale. Any google search can give you this information.

Nothing even remotely close to this has ever occurred in the past. We have never experienced anything like it. Trust me, it was one of the worst days I've ever had.

Search google or search our reviews. Before 12/23/19 you will not see any customer complain about flood damage to their vehicle because it simply has never happened.

It is within your rights to file complaints and seek litigation, but please remember this was a natural disaster and completely out of our control. It saddens me that this affected my customers, but there is nothing else we can do.

Edit:
Basically all of Ft Lauderdale is a flood zone. It was never an issue until 12/23/19 when there was a freak storm that caused all of this for the first time. You will not find a single review about damage since we have been at this lot before 12/23/19. For your information two of our own shuttles received water damage as well. We would be out of business before we could pay for everyone's vehicles. Besides this was an act of nature, completely out of our control.. this is why you have insurance; because of acts of nature and unexpected accidents.

I care deeply for my customers, this is why we have the best parking service in Ft. Lauderdale. The reviews speak for themselves.

Lot floods in heavy rain. Stay away. Car flooded.

Dropped car at park by the ports on Dec 17, 2019. Returned from cruise Dec 27 2019. Car was wet inside. It started. While trying to adjust seat that was somehow full aft my wife called from waiting area and told me the lot had flooded while we were gone. The lot people didn’t tell us this. Other customers whose cars were also flooded told her.. this explains why the seat is full aft and will not adjust. Inside is totally soaked. Park by the ports didn’t even have the balls to tell us that there was a flood. No signs that say lot may flood. Nothing. I did find a comment by a customer on Facebook that says lot floods in heavy rains. Last year the Shuttle driver rear ended A car while texting. Stay away from this place.
30 Dec.reply to ownerS comment.
You say you have never had a driver in an accident. Well I can tell you that last year while I was returning from the port your driver rear ended another car at the exit gate. Your driver got out. There was some yelling by the other driver. Yes . Your driver was texting. I was watching him. I even stated that texting while driving a commercial vehicle was a Federal Offense ! You can deny it but I was there and it happened.

Hi Christopher,

I've never had a driver in an accident due to texting. So far, from the very few, only accidents when it is the other driver's fault; not ours.

12/23/19 around 2am there was record rainfall (10 inches!), flash flood, and tornado. We've never seen anything like this. I've lived here 25 years and been in business 6 years, but have never experienced a real flood like this. No damage has been done to any of the vehicles in this lot until that day. Please don't make it seem like it was only our lot, it was all of south Florida. This was also the first time ever.

I never want to experience a day like that again. I can honestly say this has been a complete nightmare for us as well. I'm sorry you were negatively affected by the flood, I wish there was more we could do. I would never wish this even on my worst enemy. . Best of luck Chris.

Avoid at all costs!

Returned from a cruise to find a lot completely flooded, hundreds of cars sitting in a foot of water or more. People shoveling water out of their cars, having all kinds of issues, including electrical. My car had water inside and SRS light was going off. The lot ownership is not taking any responsibility. Now I have to pay $1,000 deductible out of pocket because of the owner's indifference. As other reviewers mentioned, this is not the first time the lot gets flooded and it sits in the flood zone; no way this was a surprise.
Pay a few bucks more and go to a reputable business or just park in the port garage.

This was in fact a complete surprise Benito. Yes, when there was king tide a few months ago the drainage backed up water that could wet your feet in 2/10 lanes, but this was a major flash flood that devastated all of south Florida, you cannot compare the two situations whatsoever. Record breaking rain with a tornado too. We have never seen anything like this before down here.

I sympathize with you and I'm very sorry this happened, trust me I was at the lot from 3am to 10pm helping out where I could, but this was an act of god and natural disaster. All we can recommend is you contact your personal auto insurance and handle it. I'm sorry because of this flood your experience wasn't as amazing as the first time, but please have mercy on us; we cannot control mother nature. Good luck RR.

Shuttle was supposed to run every 20…

Shuttle was supposed to run every 20 minutes. After 25 minutes of waiting we started calling for assistance. No one answered the phone the first 2 times. Finally someone got on the phone and said they would call the driver. It took another 25 minutes for the driver to arrive and he was in a van that was insufficient in size to pick up everyone waiting after our cruise. We ended up taking Uber back to pick up our car. Very unimpressed with this operation. During our wait we saw at least 6-7 Park n' Go shuttles come and go. That's who we will use next time when cruising out of Ft. Lauderdale.

If you're looking to work at park by the ports It's A Fine Place overall but Beware of the general manager Joanna that's not even her real name and she is spiteful underhanded and Sligh and you have to be very careful what you say to her and don't ever put your hand in your pocket because she thinks you're stealing from the company there are other factors involved even if you like the owners which I did I have to say the general manager is the poorest trained unsuitable general manager I have ever worked for

BEWARE!!!

BEWARE!!!! DAMAGE TO VEHICLE!!! Should have trusted my instinct when I first arrived. When we returned from our trip it took over a half hour to be picked up only to find numerous SRAPES AND SCRATCHES to the bumper of my brand new truck. Before drafting this post I did some more research and found that other customers had the same issue. The attendant called the owner Kevin Arregoces who came, wiped down the bumper of my car with a cloth and offered two days off of the parking for compensation. When I asked him to fix the bumper to my new truck he declined to do ANYTHING! He was smug and unapologetic. Now go ahead Kevin respond with some excuse as you have with any negative review that you and your business has ever received.

Terrific Service

We were very happy with the business, they emailed us in the morning we got back, they arrived promptly, were pleasant and helpful to everyone , in spite of how busy it was. I use a walker and have some mobility issues, they were kind and patient with me. Back at the lot the cars had been moved to the shuttle stop and the bags were unloaded and put in your vehicle. The staff worked very, very hard with unfailing good humor. Highest marks for this great business.
