Not enough sitters in 2025

Around 2019-2022 we had good success finding house sitters through this site, when they had a free membership option. Since they have made all tiers paid, there just are not enough sitters on the site. Our last several postings have gotten maximum 1 application (despite plenty of notice, same ads as before, etc). Definitely not worth the cost of membership. Will not waste my time or money with this one again.

Unable to contact anyone re problem with website

I have had a few great housesits, but annoyingly have never received alerts re upcoming housesits.
I' ve been a paid member since 2017. & it says email alert activated. Very frustrating.
I' ve tried to contact Nomador help, but the message won' t send via phone or laptop!
It seems there is no way to contact this site
This is not a satisfactory

No photographs on many ads

I am already a member of Trustedhousesitters and I was thinking of joining Nomador as well as there are more sittings in France.
I’ve been thinking about joining Nomador for a while and have been looking at quite many ads lately, I’ve also some alerts set up.
Unfortunately, I find that many ads have no photographs of their homes or very few ones that show almost nothing of their accommodations. I’d feel very uncomfortable in applying for sits where I don’t know where I’ll end up to.
I enquired with the Support team and I’ve been advised to apply for a sitting and then ask for more photographs directly to the host.
However this is time consuming, while if the images were available at the first stage, I would know where to apply and where not.
This is very unfortunate as on Trustedhousesitters all the ads have plenty of images which makes it easier, if Nomador would follow the same guideline, it would be perfect.

Nomador have absolutely no customer…

Nomador have absolutely no customer service. I cancelled automatic payment and they took the payment anyway. I then contacted them to get a refund but they don't reply at all.

I have now raised this with my CC company.

Also, notice how often they have a negative review and then a quick influx of very strangely written positive reviews. This is a very classic technique used by companies to hide their bad reviews. Please filter and read the 1/2* reviews about nomador.

As for your subscription: cancellations can be done at any time directly from your account. Payments are only processed if the cancellation is not completed before the renewal date. If a payment was made less than 14 days ago and no paid feature was used during that time, we issue full refunds upon request — that’s part of our policy, and we apply it systematically.

Finally, regarding your comment about reviews: we want to be very clear. All reviews about Nomador, whether positive or negative, are genuine. We do not encourage, request, or publish fake feedback of any kind. Trust and transparency are core values of our community — and that includes being fully open to all types of user experiences.

A win-win situation..

A win-win situation... Pets get to stay in their home environment, pet-sitters get to experience a home-from-home free-of-charge and it doesn't cost owners anything either.

Great experience so far

We've been on Nomador for 2 months and have booked 3 house/pet sits so far. The families whose homes and pets we will be looking after seem very friendly and trusting. And it appears that they have beautiful houses with pools! It wasn't easy to get our first sit as the popular houses get a lot of applications. It took 13 applications before we had success. The platform and support have been excellent.
I will update this review after our first house sit experience.

29.6.25 Update
We're part way through our 2nd house sit and we've had 2 amazing experiences so far. It has been lovely to meet new families and then look after their house and pets, especially for out kids who have never had pets before. It's an enriching human experience. Thank you Nomador and the community of great humans you've attracted.

Non-existing customer service

Non-existing customer service. The one time password never reaches your email. They claim that they will reach you before the contract ends, but this never happened now I am paying one additional month. This is very disgusting. The concept is good and really sustainable, but the practicality of this concept is a scam
