The app is actually useless. The app needs deleting and replacing with a system that actually functions and preferably not set up with a company thats linked to MP’s mates as this was.

Whoever created this needs shooting

Whoever created this needs shooting. It makes me laugh, annoyed and frustrated everytime. Its opening statement its quicker than speaking to someone to request an appointment. It takes days for request to go through,if it goes through that is. How can something that has a process to go through I.e log on answer questions,2. It get looks at. 3. Then if deemed a priority you actually get an appointment. The whole process takes days. How can that be quicker than phoning asking can o have an appointment with Dr so and so and yes we have an appointment for such and such date. Bloody ridiculous piece of crap.

Dreadful.

Dreadful.
Has sent me TWENTY emails in a few hours telling me I have accessed my account. Guess what, I won't be accessing it again!
Absolute rubbish you should be ashamed of
Oh, and no means of contacting you to let you know!

Father has no internet and a phone just takes calls

My father has no internet and a phone that only takes calls and texts. When he explained this to the receptionist she said she would create the link. All he had to do was call her and she would go online and make the appointment while he was on the phone. That seems the way forward. Isn't science wonderful

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking. I was told last week that my GP aren't taking any appointments over the phone and you have to book an appointment online. Been trying all week to book an appointment but no appointments available no matter what time of day. I desperately need to see a gp or nurse as my breathing is much worse. I suffer from emphysema I have alpha 1 anytrispsin difficieny. I'm sick of them assuming my emphysema is caused through smoking well it isn't, it's alpha 1 anytrispsin difficieny that's caused it. I'm worried sick as my brother died age 43 with emphysema alpha 1 anytrispsin difficieny. Shocking service. Don't bother with this as it's a complete waste of time !!!

HATE IT!

I have no option since the surgery doesn't actually make appointments - either by phone or in person. I was standing in front of the receptionist who told me I needed to go on askmygp the following morning to make an appointment. When I pointed out I was standing there, in the room and couldn't understand why she couldn't make an appointment then and there, her response was "that's not what we do".

It begs the question then - what do receptionists do nowadays, because they USED to be able to make appointments. Have they had their access removed by askmygp?

I can't see any positive responses to the awful thing! Yet, here we are, forced to use it whether we like it or not.

Yesterday, I called to ask about getting a blood test. Was told "go on askmygp tomorrow to request it". Duly did as I was told. Missed the call back (8 hours later) from a GP. They left me a message on askmygp. guess what it said? Call the surgery tomorrow to book a blood test.

You really can't make this up, can you?! If this is progress, I'd like to go back to the "good old days". You know the ones, where you could speak to a person, book and appointment and actually get to see a GP. Do they still exist?!

Tried to book an appointment with my GP…

Tried to book an appointment with my GP practice but it told me that the all the appointments for the day had been used? So to try again tomorrow. If it’s urgent call 999 or go to A&E.
Every time I have tried previously I’ve only been successful once. I believe the service is not fit for purpose. It worked a treat 25 years ago when you could phone and get an appointment even if it was a day or two in the future but has gone down hill ever since. Sad.

4 The downfall of humanity in the UK

this App was created for the destruction of humanity in the UK now ( GP -NHS ? )they can cheat everyone saying that they did not receive information or there is an error in the system or it is your error and they do not answer clearly, it is useless, not helpful, and the help packages contain everything except what is needed

The questions it asks are appalling

The questions it asks are appalling. Absolutely terrible. It assumes we have medical skill just to answer the questions. I don't care if it's a man, woman, trans, animal. I JUST WANT ADVICE FROM SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP. Then it keeps logging me out when I just refresh the page. Every question is stupid. It's designed to wind people up so that then they are angry. And so then they insist on calling directly.

And so overload the system even more.

Worst designed site I've used for a long time. It's like a kid did it.

If I could give it less I would…

If I could give it less I would complete waste of time the response time is to long puts other services under pressure ie chemist/ walk in centre! The service is redundant why not just sack the Rottweilers on reception they are rude incompetent unprofessional they only call back anyway after completing the request so why not deal with it in the first place? Makes no sense whatsoever

AskmyGP

I have never had a problem with ask my GP at our practice. You can't book an appointment but when you put in your request you will definitely get a phone call or email back either to offer an appointment ( usually on the same day) or advice. You can check your health record and any rest results and also order of repeat prescriptions. You can also request an answer from a specific person. This is a fairly large country practice covering several villages. I have not found a downside to this app.

On the appointments card

On the appointments card, it showed dr simon Wee record and not dr Baxters. Until later on. Think they’re maybe a timing issue with appointment cards. Apologise to Wingate if i missed tel call appointment was not registered until 11 July. The 5 july should of came first. Before 11th july

Bombarded with messages giving false information.

So I used myGP to order my prescription, got my medication on time a week ago.
I have now had to delete myGP from my phone after being bombarded with messages saying my prescription has been delayed, contact my pharmacy,
Spoke to my pharmacist who quite candidly told me 'the message wasn't from us or the surgery, stop using the app immediately, order direct from us.' This appears to be a backward step in the use of technology, however, at 78 years old, with a heart condition, I can ill afford mistakes with regard my medication. Back to quill pen technology, app gone, sad really, when it worked it worked brilliantly, now it seems to have got some gremlins in the works who have access to my medical, medication, surgery and pharmacy records, how?
I am not expecting a reply as it would appear the people running myGP don't and won't acknowledge there are problems and you can't contact them. If they had the courage to read the bad reviews on here they might learn something to their advantage, ostrich, head, sand, comes to mind.
In conclusion, as I left the pharmacy I was approached by 3 other people who had a similar experience and now because they could not contact myGP were deleting the app.
Managed eventually to contact myGP, my head is now aching after banging it against the brick wall, which I might add gave me a more satisfactory answer than myGP ever will.

I’ve been trialling the BP app

I’ve been trialling the BP app. It is very problematic to use. Very difficult to create the correct facial and light environment so as data capture can begin. I’m not sure how BP is measured from basically a facial scan although it appears to work and return meaningful data. How accurate it is or what margin of error it has I’ve no idea. My few successful scans appear broadly similar to readings I’ve taken with a conventional BP monitor but I’m not convinced this app is reliably accurate.

Tried to reorder my repeat prescription…

Tried to reorder my repeat prescription this morning, and my recommended pharmacy had been changed from the one I always use to one that I have never used, 40 miles away. I sent an email to the software developer, the reply was “emails unmonitored” a joke

I sincerely hope that our NHS is not paying good money to this software company
