Cheap... and dishonest.

A true test of insurance is when you need to claim. MRL use Reactive Claims as their claims handler and they won't speak to you and explicitly ask you not to contact them within 6 weeks of lodging a claim. Their job is to find a reason not to pay out.

The chance of a claim being paid is minimal as their terms require you to get written reasons from the carrier for a delay or cancellation - this is impossible to obtain from most carriers and it isn't relevant to a claim where you had no control over decisions made by a third party. Totally cheap and dishonest.

Poor

bought a single trip insurance in May for trip I'm taking next week. I have been trying to contact them for 3 days now to amend policy but no one answering either of the 2 numbers . Does not bode well for a time when I really need them. Will buy a policy elsewhere I think.

Try contacting them !

Used them before and no issues, however never tried to contact them as everything has been fine.
Had to change the dates on my policy and tried to ring and also email to arrange this.
12 emails now sent, no reply.
Also been phoning for 6 months, in the line to be answered each time. The longest I could stand was for 3 hours.
Possibly the worst customer services I have ever experienced, thank goodness I didn't need to contact the during a holiday when I really needed them.

Good cover . Good price.

We had an annual holiday insurance with MLR when covid struck. I asked about halting it and restarting when needed. They couldn't do this but did give me an element of refund, which they were not obliged to do. Also, due to our ages it isn't easy to find a company offerring an annual policy with long stay. When we were going to travel again I didn't hesitate contacting them. They again came through with the cover we needed and at very acceptable price. The girl I spoke to had to phone me back as the computer system froze. The quote was quick and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate to recomment them, and have done so to friends

speedy purchase

speedy purchase, I think it's not fair to review any insurance unless claim has been made becasue this is where the real review requires, that how smooth was the claim process, speed of getting the money etc.
Therefore, I can only comment on the purchasing of this, good insurance option with competitive price, although this still was little bit expensive for 6 days single trip (Europe).

Terrible customer service

Travel policy documents were not attached to the confirmation email. I emailed to request them, and they didn't respond until after we'd already been away. And that was just to say "the documents are attached to the confirmation email" NO THEY WEREN'T.

Will be avoiding in future.

Worthless Travel Insurance

I had been with them for years but never claimed. I paid almost £300 for Worldwide Annual Cover + I paid extra for Cruise Cover. I thought I had covered all bases. When I had to submit a claim this year I found out that my insurance policy was a worthless piece of paper because The Computer Said NO

Very poor set up

Very poor set up. Do not use! Inability to even communicate or respond to customer. Asked for amendment to travel insurance on 12 April 2020. No positive outcome or response to date and now it is 4 July 2020! Unsuccessful wait of 60 mins on phone to speak to someone.

I wish I could give no star

I wish I could give no star.
Policy summary says that it covers medical emergency and missed flight and trip cancellation.

Because of medical emergency in home country we missed flight and cancel the start of trip date. So our claim should fall in at least one of the category.

We made claim but no response from them so far. This insurance company is very difficult to deal with as they don't have customer support during weekend (when most of people traveling). Medical emergency team is not native English speakers and also phone lines are very bad that you can hardly hear anything.

I wish someone had left review before me than I could choose better insurance company.
