I have been a patient at Main Street Dental in Mullica Hill, NJ for several years and overall it has been a great experience. Today was different. On Tuesday, I had my teeth cleaned and had a full set of X-ray's done. The X-ray showed a cavity on tooth 13. Since the doctor was not in, I was told to make an appointment for an exam by the doctor and to have the cavity filled. I made the appointment for 12/20. I was told when I made the appointment that I would have the cavity filled at the same time. I received a call stating the doctor would not be in 12/20 could I come in 12/19. I arrived at the office expecting to have the tooth filled. To my surprise, I was told I was only scheduled for an exam. After stating that I thought I was here to have my cavity filled, I was told by Dr. Burt that my insurance needed to be verified and if it was okay, Dr. Burt would work on the tooth. (Why was my insurance being questioned – I didn’t understand). Once, the insurance was cleared, I was informed by the hygienist that Dr. Burt had too many patients and he wouldn't have time to fill my cavity. I was to make another appointment. I left my job an hour early to make sure I was on time for today's appointment. I didn’t get the cavity filled, nor did I have an exam. Dr. Burt looked at my X-RAY and confirmed I have a cavity. Not once did I open my mouth for him to look in it which would have been an exam. I only was moved to the back to sit in a chair. The doctor could have reviewed my X-Ray prior to me e stepping foot in the office. Now I have to take off a couple hours to get the cavity filled. Today was a WASTE of my time and I am appalled at how I was treated in your office today. NOTHING ACCOMPLISHED!!!
