I’ve been a Mailchimp customer for over 3 years, always paying for their premium services. Out of nowhere, my account was suddenly suspended, and I received no clear explanation as to why. I reached out to their compliance team multiple times, only to receive vague, copy-paste responses that offered no insight or resolution.
It’s extremely frustrating to lose access to your email lists and automations without warning – especially when you’ve followed all rules and built your contacts organically. The compliance team appears completely unhelpful and unaccountable, leaving long-term customers in the dark.
On top of that, Mailchimp is very expensive compared to other providers, and now I seriously regret sticking with them for so long. If you value transparency, reliable support, and control over your own business communications – look elsewhere. There are much better and more affordable options out there.

Disappointing Experience with Support Team
I was genuinely surprised to find that phone support isn’t available, especially given how effective a quick call can be in resolving issues. During my recent attempt to get help with a Mailchimp account problem, I spoke with someone who refused to transfer me to the appropriate department despite it being clear that doing so could have sped up the resolution significantly.
Instead, I was told I’d need to wait 48 hours for a response, even though I had already reached out via phone. That hardly seems efficient when a knowledgeable person could likely resolve the issue in under 10 minutes.
It may be time for the company to reconsider its triage model. Relying on scripted responses from agents who can’t offer real solutions is frustrating and unproductive.

Account suspended during test mode without any explanation. Spend 2 weeks setting up, no emails sent, got banned. Absolute scam.

I will use litterally ANY of their competitors simply because Mail Chimps advertising is the most annoying shit on earth. Their entire marketing team needs to be euthanized.

Created a google remarketing ad in Mailchimp. Still waiting over a day and it is in review. Contacted support who said they could not help and to contact Google. This ad is done via your platform Mailchimp so you should be able to assist. If I wanted to create ads direct via Google I would. This is the reply I received "Hi, reviewing the info. This is not an issue at our end; it is undergoing a review process by Google to ensure it complies with their policies before it can start running.
So you need to contact Google to view what's happening or why it's taking more time to review.".
I asked for Google contact details for Mailchimp ads but they failed to reply. Mailchimp are trying to do too many things at once and falling into mediocracy

Reign the IT Dad is the literal GOAT so patient, with everything I need. I didn't feel rushed or stupid. We are starting a new business venture and had to delete all the old business and he worked so diligently to make sure it was all clear that I can use my same audience base. 10/10 would recommend. Mail chimp saves me literal hours of follow up.

Booked a sales meeting with them on behalf of a customer looking for a marketing tool to connect to their CRM (around 240 licences).
I got 3 automatic reminders before the meeting started, but surprise, their Sales did not show up to the call.
A competitor will make a little more money soon I guess

The two-factor authentication is terrible. I cant access our account, even though i have the login details. That added to very sparse support and no one you can talk to is extremely frustrating. They have managed to turn the most simple of services in to a complete pain. Their "chat" just points you back to the information page which doesn't solve the problem. Another company where you wonder where all the money you give them goes.

We've been using MailChimp for years, but recent authentication process is a hell. The 2-factor should send a code to my phone but that doesn't seem to work anymore (Europe). After trying several times, with several browsers, I sent a message through their contact form. First reply was that the email address wasn't associated with what they had in their system. The @ is obvisouly the same company and they mention the correct mail address in their reply. In stead of replying directly to that email address, I had to re-enter my message through their contact form again.
Now I got a reply that the only way to get access to the account I'm monthly paying for, is to send them an ID, invoice copy and payment card details.
In stead of fixing their 2-factor authentication, I now have to do a time consuming, unnessary procedure.
I have the correct sign in, password and linked phone number, but somehow it's become my problem.

I am very frustrated. I rely on Mail Chimp for my newsletter and specific real estate listing mail outs. Now all of a sudden I cannot access my account. I get this message - You don't have permission to access on this server. Never seen this before. What makes it worse is that any link associated with Mail Chimp gives this message. I managed to talk to a human from customer support and he gave me a link that also generated the same message. How is is that no one from Mail Chimp can help me ?

Awful experience and waste of time.
Got a message that e-mail could not be sent due to their automated abuse-prevention system. Nevertheless has my content not any fraudulous nor prohibited content.
Support does not deliver any explaination either.

Reign provided an immediate response to my questions and was extremely helpful. I had to wait no more than one minute to hear from someone. It would have taken me much longer to process if I'd tried to figure it out myself from the procedures on their website. I really appreciate this MailChimp feature now that I've used it for the first time. I also learned some other things I did not know I could do. Thank you!
