Review summary

Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Customers express significant dissatisfaction, particularly concerning order issues and cancellations. Many consumers report that their orders were canceled without explanation, leading to frustration and inconvenience, especially when items were needed for specific events. Additionally, people have encountered problems with returns, often struggling to get refunds for items they sent back. The difficulties in contacting customer service, including long wait times and unhelpful responses, exacerbate these issues. A few reviewers praised specific employees for their exceptional service, but these positive experiences seem to be overshadowed by the prevalent negative feedback regarding order fulfillment and customer support.

Written by the company

For almost 200 years, we've known Lord & Taylor to be iconic, resilient and deeply rooted in heritage. What began as a dry goods business in New York City in 1824 by Samuel Lord was etched in America’s history as the country’s first ever department store. Lord & Taylor was acquired by The Saadia Group and reintroduced to the world as a digital collective in April 2021. Your favorite brands — both old and new, the signature white glove service, and everything else you love about Lord & Taylor is back, better than ever.

Reputation ruined.

Apparently another mystery buyer has purchased lord and Taylor. It is too late. Their reputation is forever marred by the previous owners who scammed thousands out of and unknown amount of money. Set up a business selling super fake designer bags for thousands. If you bought a designer bag in the period of the last owners it is fake. I received a fake bag and the only way I got a refund was from emailing them and pretending I needed the money to purchase another bag. I fled and reported them to Gucci, the fbi and the ftc. Months later they had a formal lawsuit brought to them by Gucci. While this new company promises to fix the reputation I fear it may be too little too late.

Order canceled for no reason

They canceled my order without any explanation or reason and without notifying as to why. This would've been my first time ordering from them, and this has made hesitant to try them out again. I'm highly disappointed.

I still love Lord & Taylor!

The website is user friendly, I was able to find the merchandise I wanted easily.
I paid using a buy-now-pay-later format, something I have never done before and had no problem with it.
I'm just waiting for my order to be delivered.
