This is honThis Is the Worst Insurance Ever A Scam on International Students" estly the worst insurance…

This is honestly the worst insurance I’ve ever had. It feels like a scam that the school forces on international students. I paid over $3,000 in three years, and when I went to the hospital just once for a simple TB test, they refused to cover anything. Their excuse? “We don’t pay for preventive care.” What kind of health insurance doesn’t cover basic medical tests? The school never tells students what this insurance really covers. They just push you to buy it and harass you if you try to opt out or ask questions. You don’t get to choose they force you to pay for this useless plan. Lewermark doesn’t care about students. They just take your money and leave you with bills when you actually need help. If you’re thinking about relying on this insurance don’t. It’s a complete waste of money.

Is it ethical what they do?

I took this insurance because my school forced me, since I am an international student. Now everytime I go to the doctor they want me to pay something, like what is the money that I paid for this insurance used for?
No worries, I'll go and do all my medical appointments in Spain were health is a right everybody has. I’m missing so much being in a place were healthcare professional are not monetizing on my health. Thank you Lewermark for this horrible experience in the US.

Does not reimburse medical expenses

I was working in a state that wasn't covered by the insurance. I called the insurance and they told me that if I sent the bills to them, they would reimburse me 80% of my expenses. It's been years and I never managed to get any money back. They kept on sending me checks that would never reach destination (when I tracked the letter it even arrived close to the address and then went on its way to another state for no reason).

Dangerously unreliable & bad service

Extremely unhelpful customer service, no sign of effort to assist students, especially international. Will not cover essential treatment, and activity in insurance is delayed every single quarter for a couple weeks, meaning if you get injured or sick during that time - you’re on your own. They will do whatever they can to leave you in the dark and be the least helpful that they can, pretending to be oblivious. It’s too on the nose. If you are an int student coming to America, do what you can to not sign under Lewermark. Like most insurance companies in this nightmare of a health system, they deserve to be sued for their irresponsible practice in healthcare and finances.

LewerMark customer service is one of the best in customer service

LewerMark customer service is one of the best I have ever seen. They are always so helpful and willing to go the extra mile to take care of our needs. Whether it's on chats or phone calls, they have always been willing to help with any questions and staying on the phone until it is fixed. i highly recommend LewerMark for international student plans!

Not worth it

It doesn't cover many essential thing. As the 3 years user, I am very dissapointed on what service they offered. I also wish they have a service on holiday. And clear info on the insurance, stable website.

Worst international student health insurance

I tried to use their insurance multiple times, but it does not cover essential things, like critical medications. In general, Lewermark provides a very limited health insurance, which does not cover the medical expenses that international students REALLY need. On top of that, they are partially dysfunctional due to technical downtime issues that prevent students from getting health services, delay refunds for months (as they have "technical issues" and other excuses). Compared to other insurers (for example: UnitedHealthCare) that I had, Lewermark is by far the least valuable. Lewermark is very consistent with extremely poor customer service and will force you to wait forever before getting medical assistance.
Lewermark will do its best to provide you with access only to low quality doctors and will really try not to cover medications you need.
Many are hiding behind the "sick American health system", but the sad truth is that Lewermark just doesn't care about humans. It's not about the America's broken health system, but purely about making Lewermark richer at the expense of the weakest in American society.
