Don’t pay them!

We received letters and texts from this company regarding money we owed from octopus but after speaking to octopus they knew nothing about this company, so this company obviously just fishes information and tries to get money off people (as we were actually in credit with octopus). If you get any letters or texts from them contact the supplier you are “supposedly” owning money too first and don’t pay them as it is a scam.

We need protecting from this company’s relentless extortion tactics

A random estimated payment demand received from LCS supposedly acting for So Energy for a period of time that a tenant was in the property was suddenly received by me last year - 2 yrs after the event.
I informed LCS who was the occupant, when I regained access, my knowledge of the backdating rule had I even been the occupier, and the fact that I had already taken So Energy to the Energy Ombudsman before our dealings were finally settled due to endless problems with their final bill estimations.
It doesn’t matter what you tell LCS they try to wear you down with constant contact ignoring facts you’ve told them and threats of further action.
I’m so tired that I’ve told them they will receive no further replies from me personally as they have already been supplied with the information confirming I am not liable, and that I will see them in court if that’s where they wish to take this matter.
I’m also in the process of obtaining my original Energy Ombudsman complaint outcome which I will forward to them.
Their extortions must be stopped - how is
this even legal?
I will also report to the FCA.

If I could give a minus rating I would. This company is chasing me for an Octupus energy bill that relates to the previous owners. I completed on this property nearly 2 years ago and straight away switched supplier. They have had completion copies and still they keep writing. Well have now gone to the FCA. Terrible bully boy tactics.

LCS - scammers

LCS Apson House, Leeds, wrote a letter dated 1.4.25, with ‘Ethical Mail’ on the envelope, saying they are instructed by So Energy to pursue an outstanding financial matter. The letter is addressed to the Occupant and they ask for identification to be given on their website! No way! I am £300 in credit with So Energy. I have posted the letter to So Energy HQ in Chiswick asking if this is a scam.

Want to give them zero

Last year they sent a claim and a final notice for a bill wth Scotish Power with whom I have never contracted, for a house I have never lived in and for a time more than a year after I owned it. They basically ignored my replies and caried on demanding the same info.
I went to Scotish Power, they said sorry in writing and that there was no claim.

Then in Feb it all started again with LCS. Smae claim, same demands, same inability to answer questions.

A really poor company.

I have been harrassed by LCS for the last 3 months on a Estimated energy Invoice 4 years ago which was settled over the phone recalculated and paid in 2021. LCS said that Scottish powers Data retention laws do not allow them to retain phone recordings therefore they cannot accept the matter was closed.
They are now excalating the matter to Drydens Solicitors. Their Bully boy tactics are deplorable. I have always paid my bills and have NEVER had any debt. Happy to run with this in the courts if need be.

Tomfoolery 🤡

Received a letter from them saying that i apparently owe £128 to e .on. Til they can proof that i owe that amount to them, they aren’t getting a single penny from me lol. If you supposedly owe them money but they can’t proof it’s your debt just simply ignore them, they are powerless. Please don’t stress. LCS.

Unprofessional and Harassing

If I could give zero stars, I would. LCS has been relentlessly demanding payment on behalf of an energy supplier for a property I never occupied and has been rented for over 2 years. Despite providing them with clear evidence that I am not responsible for the debt, they continue to send threatening letters and ignore all logical responses.

Their communication is aggressive, their approach is unprofessional, and they seem to have no interest in verifying facts before harassing people. This kind of behaviour reflects terribly on the energy suppliers who choose to use their services.

If you receive unjustified demands from them, challenge everything and seek legal advice if necessary.

BE AWARE: read this if you get an alarming letter!!!

Disgusting company, threatened a family member with over £5000 of debt and were insisting and adamant it was liable. For a property miles away in a city they had never stepped in. Scottish power were useless too and said they passed the nameless account to LCS and LCS had decided it belonged to my family member. After spending an hour on the phone with a very adamant man telling us my family member owned the property and saying there was proof on the land registry and being 100% certain the debt was liable he slipped through that they use a trace system to find the potential owner and then they just accuse the most likely person to be liable. Upon us realising that and after he stuttered and let it slip that actually they’re not certain of the owner we asked what the chances are that it could be someone who lived in the same area with the same name. Turns out that is EXACTLY what happened. A man who lives a few doors away with a very similar cultural name… then the guy on the phone starts to thank us for providing that information and giving them an alternative angle and asking for more to help them harass others and asking for dates of birth!! No way. We requested a copy of the land registry he claimed to have and guess what? The other address was on there NOT my family members. He was either blind and could not read OR the company find vulnerable targets and harass them. Before he heard there were others in the area with the same name he was so so adamant it belonged to us and did not want to give any other options or help. Although he did start to stutter when mentioned the ombudsman and regulations. IF ANYONE HAS BEEN HARASSED BY THIS COMPANY MAKE SURE YOU RECORD EVERYTHING AND GET DOCUMENTED PROOF. If they send you something telling you that you are liable don’t accept it and make them prove why it’s yours. They use a tracking system and do not always have certainty that a property or debt is 100% yours. Luckily I work in finance and in an FCA regulated company that deals with arrears so I am very aware of procedures that need to be followed or the help you can give if someone is very sure that the situation is fraudulent. If the guy on the phone was a bit nicer and understanding maybe I would have given 2 stars. But the fact I had to do their job for them and identify that there were others in the area with a similar name is appalling. I have now received an apology email, a copy of the land registry and confirmation that my family member has been removed and dissociated from the account.

Awful company

Awful company. Received a letter from LCS stating they were chasing a bill for £488 from three years ago when a tenant had left our property until the new buyer bought the house(a 2 month period and the house was completely empty and unoccupied). Even when I gave them the actual meter readings supplied by our letting agents managing our property at the time (rather than the previously estimated figures) they wouldn't accept them. They insisted they had to be date stamped photos. Eon had already emailed us to say they would accept the meter readings from the letting agents. They still relentlessly tried to extort the £488 until Eon stepped in, updated the readings and we paid the outstanding amount of £30. Apparently I can't complain to the financial ombudsman as this debt is from a utility company. I'm not sure if I can complain to anyone but this review is a start.

Bullying tactics, check everything they say

Just got a call saying we have a default on account however we do not. Please speak to this company with caution and check before you panic. Unfortunate that they bully people they call who may already be in a difficult situation.
