Denied claim for unforeseen event

Denied claim from U.K. air traffic control shutdown on 8/28, saying it wasn't an unforeseen event. Technically it is not included in their extremely narrow description of unforeseen events. But don't rely on John Hancock to cover you for delays and cancelations, you've been warned. Their underwriter didn't even do the processing, but handed me off the Sedgwick. The claims person Pauline did not return my call to answer my questions. Had to complete the claim 3 times online because it deleted after time limit passed, no way to save work. Won't be using Hancock or Starr or Sedgwick again.

REFUSES to Reply to BBB, IDOI, and NCDOI

REFUSES to Reply to BBB, NCDOI, an Idaho Dept. of Insurance.

Evidence of their intent to fraud is more than abundant and they refuse to answer to any consumer oversight groups! SCAM Company - At least their travel wing is!

John Hancock denied two policy claims totaling $5000 claims for 7 months because they thought some "items claimed were returned to amazon." After 3 way phone calls with Amazon, 2 independent investigations with G4S Private Investigations and 72 pages of additional supporting documentation all proved they were either incorrect, incompetent, or illegally made these allegations, they changed their denial reason. After changing their denial reason after this being their reason for 7 months, I contacted the BBB. They said they will no longer discuss the policy directly with me because I contacted the BBB. They did not reply to the BBB's request for documents and now they will not reply to either IDOI where they are headquartered or NCDOI where I live. They have about 7 days to reply and have so far passed on 25 days to reply.

inappropriate denial of travel…

inappropriate denial of travel insurance claim with cancel for any reason supplement. Forced to abort a dream vacation to France in the middle of the night when european travel ban announced. Very disappointed. Unable to get a response, only appeal mechanism is online without speaking to a dedicated agent. No answer from the emergency number when I called them during emergency.
