SCAMMERS
First robot within warrenty period had issues such as mob came off and stopped picking anything up, message irobot took ages for a reply when they finally reply with a solution to replace the robot with a newer one took a long time for the new robot to be sent multiple weeks and as soon as it was set up had issues from the start with docking and wasn't picking up most thing pet hair and such and the bits it does pick up it would drop at another location also has tiny battery needing multiple trips to do small rooms poorly, message irobot about these issues and they said they will reply in 24 hours....5 days later they reply saying they can't help as now out of warrenty period eventhou it was just replaced and told the warrenty started again for a new robot so now we are down over £700 and have a useless roomba that can't even clean and doesn't understand how to dock... this company is a SCAM in every sense and are unlawful in there warrenty and refund policies

IRobot don't take responsibility for missing deliveries
UPS claim to have delivered my robot yesterday, but the parcel is nowhere to be found. IRobot customer service told me to file a police report and log the claim with UPS myself. They won't issue a replacement or refund without this.
Their stance is contrary to UK law. UPS is their courier. They contracted them, not me. This is their problem to resolve and they don't want to do it. If I can't get them to sort this out, I'm going to have to do a chargeback via my credit card provider based on their failure to deliver the goods and never deal with them again.
It's a shame because I'm happy with my other Roomba and was looking forward to having an upgraded one.
Don't trust this company. They don't know how to operate in the UK.

Extremely Disappointed — Floor Damaged, No Resolution After 2 Months
I purchased the Roomba Combo j9+ directly from iRobot in December 2024. In April 2025, the product leaked while docked, causing serious water damage to our newly installed, high-quality wooden flooring. I followed all instructions, reported the issue promptly, and sent the robot in for repair after extensive back-and-forth with customer service.
Since then, I’ve been without the product for over two months, with no meaningful update, no repair outcome, and no compensation offered. The repair tracking system is no longer accessible, and the communication from iRobot has been vague, generic, and without any accountability.
Despite giving them ample time and opportunity to resolve this professionally, I now feel ignored, misled, and deprived of both the product and a proper resolution. I’ve kept a full record of all communication and evidence.
I am now preparing to take this case to small claims court, as I believe iRobot has failed to fulfil their obligations under the Consumer Rights Act. I strongly advise caution before purchasing from this company, especially for high-value products like this.

Support Hyperlinks not working
I need some simple advice as to reconnect the device to the internet. Repeated attempts to get any sort of help is met with long forms to fill in with no response of any kind by any means. Even ordering the product earlier this year was fraught with several minor difficulties which wasted time. I am astonished at how many people are having problems and wish I had consulted Trust-pilot prior to purchase as help seems to be behind and iron wall.

Terrible Delivery Experience – Still Waiting After a Month
I ordered a Roomba from iRobot nearly a month ago and still haven’t received it. The lack of communication from both iRobot and UPS has been incredibly frustrating. Updates are vague or non-existent, and no one seems to take responsibility. I expected far better from a company this size. If you value timely delivery and clear updates, I’d look elsewhere.
Now looking at the other reviews, i am worried that the product itself will be useless.........

Garbage devices
Garbage devices. Spend more time trying to find it and troubleshoot it than it does cleaning. Just use a Dyson and do it yourself. Save yourself the frustration.

Only 2 months old and has stopped working
I’ve had my Roomba 10max combo for 2 months and have had many issues with it. The mop pad doesn’t dry so you have to change it after every use, the robot doesn’t evacuate into the base so you have to manually empty it each time and most recently the charging contact has stopped lifting up so it’s completely unusable as it has no charge. Customer service have been very friendly on the phone but are extremely slow at providing a resolution and want it sent away for testing without providing a replacement, which for a 2 month old product with so many is ridiculous - it should be a straight replacement. Am extremely unimpressed and after initially recommending it to many friends I will now be retracting that statement.

Zero service post purchase in South Africa
I purchased a Roomba J7 several years ago in South Africa at what was then the most expensive price by miles for a robot vacuum compared to alternatives.
The robot is good and I have always been happy with it. It now requires a new battery and some new accessories and I see no reason why these items would not significantly add to the lifespan of the robot and keep it working for several more years to come.
For whatever reason iRobot no longer has a distribution channel in South Africa. I can order the accessories from Amazon, but not the battery.
iRobot's UK customer service contact replied that there is zero they can do. Not one single useful suggestion. iRobot was very happy to sell it to me and now are equally happy for the robot to end up in a landfill, quite unnecessarily because they couldn't be bothered to fulfill their obligations.
My advice is do not go near this vacuum if you live anywhere where there is not a robust servicing division.

Disgrace
Further to my prior review, the company sent me another replacement model which also did not work properly and was returned for repair. 3 months later, still sat with the repair workshop. iRobot are trying to offer me a “replacement” model which is a model which retails at half the price. I have sought a full refund (as is my right as a UK consumer protected under warranty) but iRobot are refusing to provide this. Will be taking them to court. Does not surprise me that this business is about to go bankrupt, they are a disgrace.

Flaky customer service and faulty goods
We have had a Roomba for just over a year. In that time we have had 2 software failures and now an overheating and melting of the contact charging points. Customer service are good in that they have replaced the roomba each time but they are soooooo slow. We have been without a Roomba for quarter of a year on this occasion while we still wait for them to send the replacement. I would not buy from Irobot again because of this experience.

I purchsed The self emptying model with the so called mop. My last Roomba was excellent but after over 8 years of service it just wore out after two rebuilds.
The new unit was bad out of the box and it took over a month to get it replaced and it took a credit card dispute to get it done.
The replacement unit is terrible with little to no suction and it leaves behind lots of small debris. The unit also runs into items so hard it will tip over items or knock them off of end tables. The unit hits dinning room chairs so hard it will move them a full inch. These chairs are made of Cherry wood and are very heavy. Talking with technical help they told me I would have to create no go zones for the robot ?? What ! So I basically have to reprogram the unit with a lot of no go zones.
This is the worst purchase I have ever made, Very
frustrating with no resolution. My original I robot was so good, What a shame.

Roomba replacement parts unavailable
I bought a Roomba back in 2022. It worked well until recently when it just stopped running. The website said the contact between the trash bin and the rest of the vacuum was probably faulty and to order a new bin. When I tried to order the part, I found it absent from the iRobot website. I found it on Amazon and ordered it, but after I waited for two months, I got an email saying the part is no longer available. So now I have a robot vacuum that is worthless and has to be discarded. Never again.

One of the worst hoovers I’ve ever used. I bought the j7 and really regret it. The website is full of glowing reviews, but I honestly don’t know how they got those — especially when so many real users seem to be saying the same negative things. I wish I had checked here before buying.
It barely picks up anything from carpets, and on hard floors, it leaves random spots untouched after a full cycle. I often have to run it again, which just ends up costing more money. The bin is another huge issue — it fails to empty itself about 9 times out of 10.
As for the mop function… it’s basically a damp cloth being dragged around doing absolutely nothing. Truly one of the worst purchases I’ve made — and to make matters worse, I can’t even sell it because no one wants it.

Completely Let Down by iRobot – 3+ Months of Headaches, Still No Robot
If I could give less than one star, I would.
I bought the Roomba Combo j9+ expecting premium quality from a premium brand. Instead, I got a faulty product and some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. This is the second time I’ve had issues with this robot in less than a year.
I opened my complaint on 11 January 2025, and only after several emails and delays did they finally offer a repair. The repair process was slow and confusing: I didn’t receive the shipping instructions from their third-party repair company (Enfinitec) until weeks later, and then the label didn’t even work.
After back-and-forths and more delays, the robot was only picked up on 11 February, and the repair didn't even start until 17 February. That’s already over a month after my complaint.
When I followed up again in March, they finally admitted to delays and agreed to send a replacement. But guess what? The product is out of stock, and as of April, I still haven’t received a replacement. That’s over three months with no working product and no refund.
I’ve been more than patient, but this whole experience has been completely unacceptable. The product failed, the support failed, and iRobot has done nothing to make up for the time, stress, and inconvenience they’ve caused.
Do yourself a favor: don’t buy iRobot. Expensive product, unreliable build, and support that’s slow, disorganized, and completely out of touch.

Won’t stay connected to WiFi
Worked fine for 3 weeks. Now it drops WiFi and it’s not a simple procedure to reconnect. However, once it connects then it won’t access the cloud and the app crashes so you have to start over. Spent hours on this, customer service not any help. Bought at Walmart. Will try to return it. It’s crap.
