Houfy Makes a Strong Difference!
Houfy adds back control to hosts for rentals that has been steadily eroded over time. I like that payment goes immediately to hosts at booking. They are the ones that are chiefly providing service to customers, so they should be treated as more than a product source. Houfy allows for dignity.
I would suggest looking into some sort of pooled insurance options for hosts. Rates have to be better on a platform given the additional demand and spread risk.

Easy set up
It was easy to use all my information from another platform. I’m excited about using the platform more and that there are no fees.
The only downside is not being able to do direct deposit to bank automatically without going through square (which charges a fee) or stripe. It could be that Stripe does too but I do not have an account.

Stripe and Square both support direct deposit to your bank, but we understand that not every host wants to use them. We're currently looking into additional payment options that might be a better fit for different preferences.

I have been using Houfy since I opened my STR in 2021. I was looking for all platforms that would allow me to promote my property. If you don't want to put in any effort stick with the other major platforms (that provide a service at a steep cost). But if you want to save fees for yourselves and your guests include Houfy in your arsenal. This year, 2025, I have more bookings through Houfy than airbnb and vrbo combined. I am currently extremely excited that Houfy will integrate instant booking and partner with Google Vacations. Can't wait.

I appreciate having a platform that makes fees and the like more transparent. I wish more rental properties were listed on Houfy as I would likely use the platform more as more STR owners adopt a platform that isn't so difficult to work with.
