I went to horse combat for the 'Confidence Course' and it was such a good day out! I am very tempted to go for their stunt day now, and try some new bits!
Overall, the day was fabulous, with classroom learning, with some history, and theory about the estate and horse behaviour. We then enjoyed learning about balance and more on the 'centre of gravity'
After lunch, we enjoyed learning how to sit a rear, and some more classroom work on how to safely fall, as well as putting it into practice on their wooden horse, Nelly!

After the day, myself and the ladies I went home feeling more motivated and knowledgeable on what to do with our own horses. The team who run this course clearly know what they are doing and teaching, making the day worth the money.

One minor downside of the company is that they can take a few days longer than suggested to send the photos; understandably, life gets in the way, and it is completely worth it.

That being said, it was 100% worth the money for the experience and knowledge gained on the day! Anyone who rides should take this course, as the knowledge learnt can be transferrable to any situation involving horses.

I'd been waiting months to do the horse back archery course as the team only run courses when the weather is good. But it was more than worth the wait.

A morning session learning to shoot on the ground followed by shooting from the horse while being led at a walk past the targets.

By the end of the afternoon I had the exhilarating experience of cantering no hands shooting at the three targets. I missed them all but who cares. It was fantastic fun.
