Women's Only Gym Oakville

Been a member of the only Goodlife Women's Gym in Oakville since it opened. Current staff and manager Sarah Roberts are highly knowledgeable, skilled and personable. Thank you! Hopefully, it will receive a much needed face-lift with Walmart opening soon next door.

Not worth the money - other gyms are better

1. Broken pool - was never fixed. The one at Madison centre has been broken for 9 months before I decided to leave . Similar with other broken gym equipment, took way too long to fix.

2. Sneaky membership arrangement.
My 13 year old son also had a membership attached to my account as a family member and paid by me. But when I cancelled my membership it apparently didn't automatically cancelled his eventhough he is a child and not paying for it. Not only that, they changed his membership without the family discount automatically to a higher price , no notification to me the account holder .

3. Horrible customer service.
The manager could not even record my complain instead gave me a head office number to call.

So if you considering to join a gym, go to LA fitness instead , much better facilities including 25m lane pool and better customer service for half the price of membership.

I love my classes with Ingrid!

I love my classes with Ingrid!! She teaches Zumba & Caribbean Dance+ Weights on Monday and Wednesdays at Pickering Ridge. I love her choice of music. It is always fun and exciting to be in her class, she has so much energy and is a very intuitive teacher.
Thanks Ingrid for being so awesome!!

Poor customer service

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the customer service I received during my recent phone call. Unfortunately, I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously, and the representative seemed more focused on the monetary aspects than on understanding my situation.

As a loyal customer, I expected a more empathetic approach. It's disheartening to feel that my concerns were dismissed, and that customer satisfaction took a backseat to financial considerations.

I hope you will take this feedback seriously and work towards improving your customer service practices.

Not great

Steam room is always broken. There always seems to be some piece of equipment I want to use that is out of order. The gym is overcrowded and I can't seem to ever get to use some equipment. I get corporate discount so it isn't expensive but if I had to pay full price I would go somewhere else.

Waste of time

Waste of time. I walked in to this location saying i wanted to sign up and if possible, get a tour of the facilities. First girl said - yes, for sure, while the second lady interjected saying - you can't just wonder around, you'll have to wait for so-n-so to give you the tour.
So i took a seat, reading the news - Daily Mail - on my phone. Ever since i walked in, a guy on his phone, was having a LOUD conversation, walking around in an aggressive manner. Nobody of the 3 ppl at the desk thought about perhaps inviting him to take his conversation outside. Anyways, after twenty minutes of waiting and with no interest from the 3 employees at the desk to give me any update about the pending tour and somehow annoyed with the ongoing phone conversation, i decided there should be better things for me to do on a Sunday afternoon. +I was left to walk out without any intervention from the ppl at the desk.
I guess i will have to take my business somewhere else. This was the Burlington, ON location btw.

Pay the extra money and go to a better gym

Good life Canada gets a two simply for the reason that unlike any modern company that allows you to either chat with an online agent or unenrolled over the phone or use any of the modern technology you’ve vented to end membership after the contract has ended you must go in physically to speak to one of their staff, which is Just the most paid example of inducing friction in order to keep getting to take 50 bucks a month out of peoples bank accounts for longer. It’s scummy. It’s lousy Cancelling has already fulfilled a year or two your contract. Also, their facilities did be too small for the number of members using them overcrowded waiting in line just to use a bloody bench press pay the extra money and go to a better gym

Horrible

Horrible, avoid if military! GoodLife asked me to update my account status from active duty to veteran community, which I did following their instructions. I received an email from them which quoted my eligibility for the veteran discount. Then they did not apply it to my account, charging me double (x2) what I agreed to upon signing up for my account, for at least 6 months. When I discovered the clerical error and that I was significantly overcharged, they refused to do anything to make it right. Nothing at all… Horrible company and worse customer service, they do not care about the military community.

The first thing you meet is a staff…

The first thing you meet is a staff that only want their share of your money. Always trying to sell you s**t when all I wanted was to workout. Also told me lies about my membership and even tried to sell me something they have in Goodlife fitness, just not theirs (Wellness with spa and s**t). Honestly felt scammed when I started there. Like your stupid high prices isn't enough?

Cancelling GLF, moving to PF

I opted to select a membership at Planet Fitness even though I have a Goodlife membership. I found that cardio equipment is better maintained at PF. More user friendly if you have an arm in a sling. PF has bottle holders on both sides, seat adjustment is ambidextrous, and peddles have rachet straps. GLF does not have any of those features. Maybe one or two bikes have foot straps but they are not rachet styles and if one arm in a sling it is difficult to adjust. PF weight machines allow for single hand/arm use in more of their apparatus. But also found PF to be way more crowed than GLF.
