Great European Journey
The accommodations and cruise ship were wonderful. Excellent crew and Wait staff on Viva Enjoy. Tours were well organized and gave us plenty of free time. The small passenger list meant no long lines for food or getting a deck chair. Very calm crowd and quiet atmosphere made it easy to mingle and meet new people.

Edinburgh and sail…
The representatives in Edinburgh were very helpful guiding us about what to see and do in our free time. We wanted to taste haggis and they directed us to a pub nearby. They also recommended restaurants near the hotel. Also very concerned about our well being during the hike to the castle.
Everyone on the ship were super helpful and polite during our sail trip. They were helpful with boarding and going ashore. The accommodations and food were fantastic.

Tours were all very similar (walking)…
Tours were all very similar (walking) with no alternative for a less rigorous tour for older people. Also, tours seemed designed to force you to stay in town for long lunch on your own if you wanted to take advantage of the afternoon. More tours like Lucerne where lunch was made a real part of the tour would help. Food was good but more local entrees would help. Wine choices were okay for the price point but were too cheap and limited for a top notch cruise.

A Trip to Remember
The trip was extremely well organized and thought out. The Gohagan personnel - both in the home office and on the trip - were helpful and professional. The local guides were experienced and knowledgeable. The hotel and river ship were first class, with wonderful rooms, common areas, food and service. The bus transportation on excursions also was excellent. There was also adequate free time for us to explore locations on our own - e.g., Mt. Titlis in Engelberg Switzerland, the Neiderwald Monument and surrounding park at Rudesheim, Germany the waterfront at Cologne, Germany. And we got an extra stop at Koblenz Germany, with an evening to explore the town and enjoy the ongoing local beer festival. We also made use of the thoughtful Gohagan travel gifts including the electric current adapter and the umbrella.
