Stiff Penalties for a bad review. Ironically honestly earned.
We all in honest business accept that we get reviewed, and should have recourse available should we get a malicious or truly unwarranted bad review. Most people are going to write honestly about their experience. We should accept that as part of our playing field in business.
This organization, should you be crazy enough to sign an agreement with them, stipulates that you will be penalized $5000 dollars for any negative review.
It states specifically: “Recipients agree to not disparage, diminish or in any way discuss GoGo Property Management in a negative manner in any form of public or private forum including but not limited to reviews or rating sites. Violations are assessed at $5000 per instance.” (Can provide document image with Gogo Management signature)
I find this disgusting and quite unethical business practice. As I value Law and Order, ALL should have recourse against unwarranted or malicious online disparagement, but curtailing any honest and forthright reviews through threats, from the business, is egregiously unethical and no legitimate court would uphold such a unconscionable contract clause, as it pertains to honest reviews in good faith.
