One of the worst customer experiences…
One of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had.
I booked a car on GetAround, paid for it in full, and only after the payment was confirmed, I was told that my Ukrainian documents are not accepted.
Nowhere on the platform does it state that Ukrainian documents are invalid. I have been living in France for three years, under official temporary protection. I work legally, I pay taxes, I have all the necessary documents — yet none of that mattered.
The app simply refused to validate my ID after taking my money.
Because of this, my entire trip was ruined. I had friends visiting from another country, and we had planned this journey carefully. Now we’re left without a car, without a refund, and without answers.
What am I supposed to do? Why are Ukrainian documents being blocked after payment, and why is there no transparency about it?
This is more than just bad service — it’s discriminatory, unjust, and deeply frustrating.
I demand accountability, a full refund, and a clear explanation.
