New customers - please note, we supply millions of plants every year and at peak times and around bank holidays, there may be seasonal delays in delivery. We won't compromise quality and ship orders in the days preceding a long weekend for tender plants, nor will we ship houseplants during times of frost.

New gardeners, please remember prior to reviewing that certain plants might not be in bloom on delivery, plants and flowers having their own seasonal blooming periods etc including dropping their foliage for winter. Thank you for your support.

AVOID

Placed order for in stock item, website advised 3-5 working days for despatch but allow 10-15 days, it's now been 20 working days and still not received my Clematis. No telephone contact number so contacted them 3 times via their website without any reply. AVOID this company at all costs or risk losing your money. Used them a few times in the past without any issues.

Great offer for 6cm pot…

I came across a great offer for 6cm pot Thai constellations. Unfortunately they arrived in a very flimsy cardboard box that was bashed up with leaves badly damaged. If they improved their packaging the outcome would have been very different. Time of delivery was exactly as expected. Please improve your packing skills and package material to improve the overall experience of purchasing from your site.

DO NOT ORDER - delivery times are all lies

I ordered a June Berry bush - known as a Saskatoon Tree for Canada Day which was on the 1st of July. It was shown in stock. I checked the delivery times - 3-5 days or up to 15 days during peak times though the website does not specify what is a peak time; but, they had a 'current delivery time status' and that was shown 3 to 5 days. After over a week when my order status has shown 'processed and tracking pending' since the day I ordered it, I emailed them as there was no tel number and they said 'we are on day 8 of your order and during peak times, orders can take 15 days'. I emailed their CEO - and the customer services again last week - no reply. Tonight I demanded a full refund or I will contact my card company. Do not use this company. I think they wait for a number of orders for a particular plant and then order in themselves. Their delivery times are a complete lie and in the very least - false advertising. trust me, it hurts that I had to give them 1 star just to complete this review.

DO NOT USE - no feedback as to where your order is

I ordered £43 of plants on 20th June and I'm still waiting. I realise that I'm not quite at your 15 working day deadline, but when I reach that magical date (on Thursday 10th July) I will be instructing my credit card company to recover all my money and you can deal with them, seeing as you have not seen fit to reply to the 4 messages I have sent to you, to ask where my order is.

First time for using this website

First time for using this website. It was very user friendly. What was described was exactly what you got. The package arrived a day earlier than expected which was a pleasant surprise. It was well wrapped and in great condition. Will definitely be using them again.

Have had no contact and no order delivered
I will never order from Gardening Express and I would recommend that you think seriously before parting with your cash.

Month late and damaged

Ordered two trees, expecting arrival in two or so weeks. Five weeks later, delivered in broken parcel and dried out. Have in the past received sickly plants that didn't live long so never again...

4 fruit trees and 2 Azalea plants

4 fruit trees and 2 Azalea plants. All larger than expected and in good condition Despatch was slower than ideal and communication wasn't great but overall a positive outcome. Given other reviews I was a bit apprehensive but no need.

A whopping 30 days from ordering....

Placed the order with a 3-5 day delivery advertised, however, they do say it can take longer with up to 15 WORKING days. Needless to say, 5, 10, 15 days passed without any communication from the company. 22 WORKING days later, it turned up. That’s a whopping 30 days from ordering. The plant itself was in excellent condition and exceeded my expectations, but the communication, or total lack of it, has put me off using them again.

Happy gardener

Good sale prices on some items . Was slight delay in packages arriving consecutive days, whilst had notification of initial delivery no follow up text. Tho i think delivery delay more on courier side. Initial viewing decent quality items

I received 6 trees instead of the…

I received 6 trees instead of the quoted 4 - 2 apple, a plum, a cherry, a pear and a mystery tree. Soaked the roots overnight with added seaweed and potted up with bonemeal around the roots. All but the pear are producing buds already. Much better than I expected this late in the season. Very pleased!

Appalling customer service (as in no response whatsoever)

I used this company about three times and have spent nearly £1000 with them. After repeated attempts to contact them via email about a minor concern regarding the plants (for of course there's no phone number) and through their website I've had no response whatsoever. Their customer service is appalling. It is simply not good enough not to respond at all. I will never use them again and would advise anyone drawn in by their prices not to either.
