Costa Sunglasses

I purchased a pair of Costa sunglasses on Frames Direct for what I thought might be a "too good to be true" price of about 1/2 retail. A couple of days later I received an email stating: "Thank you for your order. Unfortunately, I received notification from the manufacturer that this product has been discontinued. I apologize for this inconvenience. I am happy to help you choose another frame. Please let me know if you have other options in mind and I will start checking the availability for you. Also, I am happy to help you if you would like some suggested alternatives. Please contact me by email or call 1-800-248-9427 with any questions you may have." I informed the representative that Costa still offers the sunglasses, and gave her a link to the Costa site showing the same model, at a higher price. I had an uneasy feeling about the situation, so I asked that the order be canceled. A couple of days later I received another email stating that my order had been canceled, as per my request. I feel like it was a "bait-and-switch" situation and I'll be very hesitant to do any further business with this company.

Very fast processing and shipping. I actually placed an order for the same pair of glasses on another site and was waiting for over 2 months. Frames Direct not only had them in stock but I got them within a week.

NEVER AGAIN

**UPDATE**
Just got off the phone with them, and they confirmed they’re taking the full 18-day processing window. My order won’t ship until next week. That’s absurd. As a business owner, I understand occasional delays due to lost orders or carrier issues, but dragging out the entire window because they can, and refusing to let me update the shipping address because they’re taking so long is extremely unprofessional. A three-week turnaround for a standard order is ridiculous. I will never order from this company again. Zero stars. Do not recommend.

I’ve ordered from this company twice before and had no complaints — fast service, solid product. But this last experience was a mess. It’s been over two weeks and my order is still sitting in the lab with no movement. To top it off, I'm in the process of moving and they refused to let me change the shipping address, even though the order hasn’t shipped and clearly isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. That level of rigidity, especially when paired with unacceptable delays, makes no sense. As much as I liked them before, I'll be looking to take my business elsewhere in the future. Preferably somewhere that respects customers’ time and circumstances.

Was excited until….

The price of what I bought was great and they arrived with no issues. The frames as displayed showed very distinct multi colored large glitter type of material in the frame, however what I received looked like the frame was “baked” too long as the round glitter material looks like they were melted and mushed together.

Wrong item and Return inconvenience for cancelling.

1. I had placed my 1st order which I tried to cancel as sson as I placed it, but due to it we already in process it was not cancelled, it would gave been great if it would been cancelled quickly, since this was not shipped at that rime all the hassle could have ben saved.
2. I thought of keeping it, but got a very different colour from the order I placed, hence had no choice but to return that and again this is hassel and inconvenient.

Updated review, sub-par customer service team.

(See below for update on review) Honestly a little disappointed. Reached out to customer service because I was a little confused why my $600 Gucci sunglasses (prescription) wouldn’t have come with a case. Especially when these are an EXACT replacement of a pair I ordered last year from SunglassHut that were stolen and they came with the velvet Gucci case. My prior pair as well as my actual glasses also came with a case. Customer service rep was extremely rude and dismissive over the phone and told me my glasses shipped directly from the manufacturer and not frames direct. So Gucci does prescription lenses now? Not to mention they were just plopped in a wayyyy too big box with absolutely no protection, bubble wrap, typical Gucci paperwork (except my actual prescription/receipt) etc. Will absolutely NOT order from this company again and actually considering just returning and taking my money elsewhere. Just the principle, really. Cheapie sunglasses from the Gate are packed better than that and come with the proper case.
UPDATE: A customer service rep/manager reached out to me on here and then via email as well. I had the proper Gucci case, pouch and lens wipe overnighted to me at no charge. The only reason I didn’t update to 5 stars is due to the lack of customer service I received prior to this review. Both the phone call with the rude representative and the fact that I reached out via email as well prior to posting this review and never received a response (even though the website says 48H). Thank you to the rep who reached out to me here and resolved my issue, but please look into the some re-training for some of your customer service team.

Ordered and received pair of Polo…

Ordered and received pair of Polo sunglasses. The quality is extremely good and the price was significantly less than competitor price which also was a great price. I never worry about the authenticity or warranty service from Frames Direct, they are the fastest and most competitively priced that I have experienced.
