Uygar was the perfect host and tour guide in Cappadocia. Extremely knowledgeable, kind and mannered. He also coordinated travel, lodging, restaurants and the Istanbul activities.

I would recommend his services and his tours to everyone. 5 stars for sure.

We just finished our Turkey tour with Flo Tours. Sitting in the hotel lobby in Istanbul waiting for our ride to the airport. Everything was marvelous , outstanding. I had some concerns since have never used Flo Tours before, they are an tour operator. But it all went very well, all our itinerary requests were satisfied exactly, trip was well organized. Turkey is a beautiful country, people are friendly, service is excellent. We highly recommend Flo Tours.

Recently completed a 37 day trip to Stans, Caucuses and Istanbul which was absolutely wonderful and extremely well managed by FloTours. This trip had great complexity with 8 border crossings, multiple trips by plane, train and bus and of course new guides and drivers in each country. We have no recollection of disruption in anyway - it simply went very smoothly including at hotels and restaurants. The hotels were amongst the best available and we particularly liked fact they were located close to the center of activity and did not require wasted time in transport, though the buses used were all modern and comfortable. Meals were excellent with only challenge being to avoid overeating.

The guides selected were all very personable English speakers who knew their country history, addressed any questions posed and introduced us to some out of the ordinary sites and individuals in local communities. Support from the FloTours office, in particular that of Mesut, was probably the best we have ever experienced. Messages and emails, both prior to booking and during trip, were addressed within hours and he stood ready to accommodate in whatever way possible. Over the course of multiple overseas adventures we have used many of the larger and bigger name international travel companies and without hesitation we would rate FloTours up at the top.

The guides were on their feet, literally and figuratively, always willing to help! They were well-informed and proactive (sharing here just the first letters of their names- F, R, A and V ), ensuring we had as many experiences of the sites and cuisine. Our various drivers were very helpful too, thank you, all! 😊
Hotels were well-chosen, barring our room in Karakol, but we coped, as it was only for one night and we didn't wish to fuss about it. We did wonder if we missed sampling other local dishes for lunch and dinner, especially for vegetarians, but whatever we ate was good too. Shorter lunch breaks would allow us more sightseeing time. Some museum tours, we felt, were a bit rushed.
It has definitely been a worthy tour, and we have already recommended the company to friends! Thank you, Mesut and team Flotours! 👏🏼

It was a fantastic trip, The experience of a life time. The trip was a modified three Stans to a two Stans.
Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Very informative on the history and culture of Uzbekistan. The guide in Uz was very good.
The food was also good, but we spend too much time for lunch, we do not need four course meal for lunch every day. Shorter lunch and more free time would be appreciated.

Our trip to Central Asia (the Stan’s) was everything we hoped it would be. Flo Tours stayed in constant communication with us both before and during the trip. Mesut paid attention to detail and got us through the visa process and all airport pickups and departures. The guides were fantastic - steeped in local history and tradition, knowledgeable, experienced, willing to go the extra mile to give us the best experience, friendly and attentive. They were good problem solvers and worked constantly to make any of the travel blips along the way right. The drivers were also experienced and helpful with all luggage transfers. All the hotels, restaurants and activities had been thoroughly researched and vetted based on previous traveler feedback. There was great value for the cost of the trip. I would definitely recommend and travel with Flo Tours again.

loved the trip. The 2 young men guides were excellent. The third guide was OK.
We loved having a large bus for the group as everyone could spread out. I thought the meals were excellent, but I thought one night, we could be on our own and walk down the hill to sidewalk restaurants.
I understand the one hotel in Mary that no one liked is being taken off the itinerary. Overall we thought Flotours did an excellent job.

As recent participant in a South Caucasus tour arranged by Flo Tours, I want to sing the praises of the company. The staff helped me especially with a last minute flight cancellation alternative to reach my destination in a timely manner.
Although my singing lacks the beautiful harmonies of the people from Georgia, it is just as heartfelt and sincere. On site views and conversations also gave me a better understanding of the disputes between Azerbaijan and Albania. Our small group of eight,"travel junkies" as I referred to them, had been almost everywhere in the world. It was fun to be with those who recognized good service, good food, good lodgings, and excellent guides. I strongly recommend Flo Tours based upon my experience.

Right from the beginning when 'TourRadar' directed our interest in the Grand Egypt 14 Day Tour (with 7 night Nile cruise) to Flo Tours, I experienced a high level of efficiency in progressing our booking and ultimately delivering on the ground. Ms Nayda Colon, the contact person was prompt in handling my queries & ultimately making the reservation. From when we landed in Cairo at 6am on 30th Jan till we departed from Cairo at 5pm on 12th Feb, all arrangements for receiving us personally, organizing the transport, booking the Nile cruise and engaging very competent local guides, was organized flawlessly.
We would like to make a special mention of the two guides: Mohamed Hedar in Cairo-Alexandria & Mahmoud Hamdy (who was with us from Luxor to Aswan on the Nile cruise) as both of them brought alive to us the historical, cultural & architectural marvel of Egypt, going beyond only providing facts & figures of each place & monument. They also managed our daily tour program very well to ensure that we arrived at each monument well before the crowds so that we got a lot of time to absorb the knowledge being imparted and photographing the amazing frescos.
The 5 Star Deluxe Nile Cruiser Radamis II, while having very good cabin facilities & housekeeping, needs improvement in the quality, variety & taste of the on-board cuisine as also the service in the restaurant which feedback we have provided frankly to the General Manager in the Feedback Form. Perhaps our expectations were swayed by the '5-Star Deluxe' description and because we have traveled on 7 cruises, including one to Antarctica!
This review would not be complete without the mention Of Mr Yasser Salah, the General Manager of Egypt for Flo Tours who, with his managers and staff in Cairo, Luxor & Aswan, were entirely responsible for making our tour a truly memorable one.
I would definitely recommend Flo Tours to my friends planning an Egypt sojourn in the future.

5 Stans Plus Caucasus Tour

I went on this extended tour November 2018. Less expensive later in the season, and less crowded sites. It was often on the cool side however, fountains off, and flowers dormant.

Flo Tours was very professional: out of more than 70 meetings with the guides/drivers, only once late, and that due to a flat tire.

All the hotels were nice, very clean, and well situated in the cities.

I can completely recommend Flo Tours for touring this part of the world.

I traveled to the 5 Stans September 17-October 7. The trip went well, hotels, land transportation, and guides were very good. Our guides really made the trip for us as there were just the two of us traveling. It was nice to have guides that felt like friends. We enjoyed their company very much! The sights and experiences we had were amazing. Each one of the Stans is unique from the other, however, you must have endurance to do all 5 together. We are world travelers, I'm at 128 countries and it was a challenge. But worth it! Unfortunately, we ended with our flight going to Istanbul from Bishkek being cancelled and Turkish air was of no help in rescheduling as they only had the one flight a day. It took us 4 hours of anxiety to get a booking on Aeroflot to Moscow and then onto Paris to make our connection. I don't know what we would have done without the local agent in Uzbekistan, Mansur. Luckily, he had introduced himself in Tashkent so we had his number.
He was so great in booking us on a flight to make our connection in Paris. However, we think this could have been avoided in the planning stage by Flo, which was done by the Florida office. We were told at the airport that the flight they had booked us on operated by Turkish Air is frequently canceled...and when we arrived at home and talked with the local office of Flo in Florida, they said they did not send their group tours out that way. We had a special designed private tour for the two of us....we allowed them to design the tour and we just took out things we did not want to do. I would have thought they would plan the trip around what works best for their groups and if they usually don't fly their groups out of Bishkek, why fly us out of there? Therefore, because of our experience, I would not recommend anyone traveling to the 5 Stans to leave from Bishkek to Istanbul, knowing what I now know, Bishkek is lovely to visit so don't miss it....If I had it to do over, I would have recommended they start us in Bishkek, then to Almaty and onward like our itinerary was scheduled which would have put us back at Tashkent in the end and we could have flown easily from there. Even though this caused us 11 hours of hanging around at the Paris airport since everything was closed when we got there, we both agree that we loved the trip! We try not to think about the extra $2000 each that it cost us because Turkish Air cancelled the flight! Hopefully we will get some of that back due to the cancellation by Turkish Airlines. THIS IS AN UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL POST! i finally heard back from the insurance company. I took out the insurance from Flo Tours AIG (Travelguard) and they classified the cancellation of the plane as a missed connection so paid $250 as a maximum benefit. They did not think it qualified as a trip interruption even though that is really what is was.
I did not MISS the connection. So I would also make sure if you are buying a policy through a tour agent to check for insurance outside of what is being offered. I had talked with AIG travelguard prior to purchasing to make sure this was covered as that's why you take out insurance, in case an airline fails to deliver. Turkish air failed to deliver, I was under the impression that was covered. It was NOT a missed connection. BEWARE of AIG "Travelguard" I have traveled a lot and have taken out insurance before with Travelguard. First time I had to use it and they don't cover what they say...My coverage was for Trip Cancellation/Or Interruption which they said would cover up to 150% of Trip cost. They chose to call it a missed connection so that only covered $250. Very disappointing. Their excuse is that is a Common Carrier cause. Well under their contract it says mechanical/equipment failure is a common carrier cause and that is covered under Trip Cancellation/Or Interruption. Since Turkish air did not tell us why they cancelled it...how does Flo or myself know that is was not mechanical reasons. So again...WATCH OUT FOR AIG TRAVELGUARD INSURANCE!

The South Africa Fam was fantastic. All arrangements made with Thompson’s went as planned. All 3 of our driver/ guides were great men. Very knowledgeable and lots of fun to Hewitt. All excellent drivers!!!!!
All hotel accommodations were very nice.
We saw and did so many unique things, I would highly recommend this trip to clients.
