Very very satisfied customer

I purchased the exact same elliptical that I love in my health club from Fitness Superstore and had an incredibly positive experience. From my first interaction with James when I initially called to get information to subsequent interactions with Randall and Abigail I was blown away by how helpful, polite, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile they all were. My delivery went incredibly smoothly and I now have my favorite machine. And this transaction started in California and ended in Florida. A long journey where much could have gone wrong. Nothing did! Highly reliable with a committed and competent workforce company I would recommend to anyone.

I have nothing but good things to say…

I have nothing but good things to say about the Fitness Superstore. Our old elliptical died after about 20 years and we were looking to find another commercial machine. I found what we were looking for on their website and the rest is history! It had to be shipped from California to Florida and that process was effortless. They communicated every step of the way and were very helpful when I had questions. I would highly recommend them.

Stairmaster 4000 going strong!

We recently purchased an 'old' Stairmaster 4000. It arrived fairly quickly and was delivered and set up in the basement. We used it for a few days but then encountered a problem. The Fitness Superstore responded to our e-mail within one day and we had a technician out to the house promptly. He fixed the problem (free to us) and was on his way. The Stairmaster works perfectly. Highly recommend.

You just don’t see this kind of service anymore!

Purchased a Precor EFX 635 Elliptical for my personal use a few months back and waited to write this review until all was ordered received and running. Always am a bit leery about making a big purchase on-line sight unseen and I am the type of person who does tons of research and asks a million questions. It took me a month to make the final decision to move forward. The key reason for my decision was my salesperson. No matter how many times I called or emailed or how many questions I asked, I felt like I was the only customer they had. My primary contact was incredible. She patiently answered my questions and if she did not know the answer, she would knock over buildings to fine it for me. I went from skittish to 100% sold and knew when I made the purchase, this company truly valued my business and me. This is when the next level of service kicked in. I started to receive emails thanking me for the business, sending me delivery updates all the way until the delivery was completed. You just don’t see that kind of service anymore! The delivery was on time and professionally handled. I had a few setup questions and received the same service as day one. You will never go wrong with your choice to purchase from Fitness Super Store. There were at least five people I worked with through the whole process and I would love to send my thanks to them for making this such a great experience.

FALSE ADVERTISING/ UPDATE

I have zero idea how this place has received 5 stars. We ordered 4 pieces of equipment based on their website video claiming to "re-manufacture". This is false advertising at it's best. Only one of the four pieces was in the expected condition when it arrived. We ordered in March and the company has finally agreed to refund our money on a Stairmaster Gauntlet that we have been unable to use. When the repair technician tool the side panels off, all of the parts were corroded, filthy, and the machine keeps shorting out. The first set of replacement parts didn't fix the problem and the second part sent out was broken. There is no way this machine was even inspected, much less re-manufactured. It has been a giant eye-sore in the gym for 2 months now. Their customer service is friendly and tells you what you want to hear, but you are not getting what they advertise. We paid more because we thought we were getting more. NOT SO!

UPDATE (1/2/2024): While I stand behind my original review, I have upgraded them to 3 stars simply because the owner of the company contacted me personally and followed through until the situation was remedied. They finally replaced the junk machine, offered extended warranties on my remaining pieces, and gave us a nice credit toward another machine. I used the credit and received a machine that was the quality I expected.

Our customer, Dee Dee (near Lubbock), bought 4 pieces of remanufactured fitness equipment on February 23, 2023. She did not have a great experience when she initially received the machines, as one of those machines appeared to miss our quality control check. However, I do believe, at an upper management level, that we did everything possible to make up for the transaction and make the customer feel like they got a fair deal.

To explain in detail, Dee Dee (our point of contact) bought 1 Precor RBK 835 Recumbent Bike, 2 Cybex 770T Treadmills, and 1 StairMaster Gauntlet Stepmill w/TS1 Touch Screen. The equipment was received by the customer in April. The Precor Bike was reported to have been working well, no issues. One of the Cybex Treadmills was reported to have arrived dirty, however, we never received pictures of it nor got an opportunity to clean it. The 3rd machine, which is their second Cybex Treadmill, arrived dirty and with minor shipping damage. We received photos reporting the incident. After analyzing the pictures, we believe something pierced the packaging of the crate in transit, and fell and broke the front shroud. Since the packaging was pierced and the motor / electronic area was exposed, we believe it got subjected to the elements in transit. We set up a service provider to resolve the Cybex Treadmill and it was fixed on the first visit. As of this writing, May of 2024, none of these units has been reported as having issues since.

We package our equipment very well, which is described with pictures & a written description on our website (From the home page, go to our "Shipping" page, then the "Crating Process" sublink for more details). Still, 2% of equipment does experience shipping damage, usually minor or moderate.

The final unit, the StairMaster Gauntlet, was not remanufactured up to our standards at all. We think that we somehow mixed up machines before the crating process, thus sending out a machine that was not close to our remanufacturing standards. We immediately acted on this mix-up and contacted a service provider in the customer's city of residence. It also took longer than our average service call to fix, as the customer's area of residence is roughly 5 hours from a major city. After 3 service provider visits without results at par with our standards, the customer requested a replacement unit at our cost, which we agreed to, along with removal of the damaged unit. A couple weeks after making the request, in the middle of the remanufacturing process, the customer requested a cancellation of the replacement unit, for us to pick up the old unit, and for full refund of the StairMaster Gauntlet only, which we agreed to and promptly executed.

To attempt to make up for the trouble and downtime of equipment at her facility, we extended her warranty from 1 year to 2 years on the 3 pieces she was happy with, and we offered a $2000 store credit. She used that credit towards the purchase of a Precor Stepper, which the customer reported that she was happy with.
