LIERS, SCAMMERS- ESSO Gravelly Hill L(ERDINGTON) UK
I popped in to wash my car and inflate the tyres. To my surprise, I received a £100 fine apparently for exceeding the 15-minute maximum stay. This is the first time in my life I’ve been fined while being a customer and actively using the services of a petrol station.
Please BE CAUTIOUS —this station uses two cameras to record your entry time and one for exit time. The system doesn’t take into account whether you're queueing for fuel, washing your car, or making a payment—it simply tracks how long your vehicle is on the premises.
THINK TWICE before stopping here. You might end up with a £100 fine even if you're just queueing or paying at the counter.
I confronted the manager, explaining I was using their services and that it was unfair to be fined. The sign refers to “parking,” not to customers using the station. He smiled and said, “Brother, trust me, I will cancel this.”
Five days later, I returned because the fine hadn’t been cancelled. He told me he forgot and asked me to come back the next day.
I returned again, but the manager wasn’t there. An employee showed me a screenshot where the manager said not to worry about the payment.
In the end, I had to pay the full amount, hoping until the last moment they would honour their word—but they didn’t.
This kind of exploitative practice is unacceptable. Businesses like this, which mislead and take advantage of their customers, should be held accountable for their ACTIONS.
LIERS, SCAMMERS!!

ROBBERS,THIEVES,LIERS,FINE TICKETS
I came a customers to fuel the car and use the washing machine and I got a ticket for the car park instead. I never parked my car in their area and left it there to sort out my staff elsewhere, I just popped in as a customer for fuelling+washing the car and this work is taking more than 15 minutes. But just wait as the nightmare only now begins: straight after I got the ticket I went into the shop to speak with the manager to show and prove that I came there as a customer and I never abused of their parking space, so the man promised me he will speak with Euro Car Park the company which released the ticket to cancel it. After one week I checked online if the payment was been cancelled and surprise, this was still there. I went back again to the petrol station and the line manager lied me again saying that he will cancelled as he forgot. So I came with proposal to give me cash £60 just for my peace of mind and I will go online and paid it, but he asked me to not do it as he will sorted out, which was again a big lie. So I left frustrated from the shop and a man outside approached me saying that the manager of the petrol station is charging people deliberately as he gets a percentage from the fines and I was not the only person rubbed like that, they were much more people in this situation and they want to go with this rubbery into the court.
BE EXTREMELY CAREFULL, THESE SCAMERS WANT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SHARING BETWEEN THEMSELVES, THEREFORE NEVER USE THEIR PUMP OR WACHINE MACHINE AS THE FINE TICKET WILL BE RELEASED STRAIGHT AWAY.

A big thank you to Rosie at the Esso station in Nailsea!
On my way to Tesco, I decided to pop into the Esso garage in Nailsea to give my car a wash. I used the hand jet wash, putting in £5 worth of coins, but unfortunately, while there was plenty of soap, the machine didn’t rinse my car properly. I then got another £5 in coins from the shop and added £4 more into the machine, only for the coins to get stuck — and again, no water!
Feeling quite frustrated (and with a very soapy car!), I went into the station to ask for help. That’s when Rosie stepped in.
Rosie was absolutely brilliant — she came out straight away, managed to push the coins through, and when the machine still didn’t work, she quickly refunded me the £4 without hesitation. She could see I was disappointed and kindly offered to put my car through the automatic car wash free of charge once I’d queued up. There was a bit of a wait (around 15 minutes), but I didn’t mind, especially because she was so thoughtful and understanding.
In the end, my car came out sparkling clean, and Rosie completely turned around what could’ve been a frustrating experience. Her customer service was exceptional — caring, quick-thinking, and genuinely considerate.
I also want to mention how busy the station was, yet the staff handled everything with ease and a smile. The adjoining Tout’s supermarket is a gem too — beautifully laid out, with a fantastic selection of fresh produce and luxury items. It has such a feel-good atmosphere that it makes popping in for fuel, a car wash, or even a quick shop a real pleasure.
Who needs the big Tesco when you have a place like this? A brilliant one-stop spot — and thanks again to Rosie for going above and beyond!

Fletchemstead highway Coventry
Fletchemstead highway, Coventry. Poor customer service.
Avoid dropping parcels as all costs.
Lost a parcel return thus, I lost a refund from Debenhams. Esso garage told me they couldn't scan the delivery slip so I went back a week later. Then they said they had to put it through manually so I did not get a receipt for the drop off. A month later they dold me they didn't remember me and not storing anything onsight. So I've lost my return and down heavily on cash because of their negligence and poor customer handling.

I am absolutely disappointed
I am absolutely disappointed, hurt, and deeply offended by the treatment I received at this Esso station today. As a Black man, I came to refuel my car at 387 Edgware Rd, London NW2 6LD at 6:55 PM. The moment I picked up the nozzle, the assistant told me I had to prepay because it was “nighttime.” I complied without questioning it.
However, as I was filling up, I noticed a white gentleman pull up behind me, and his pump was authorised immediately without any request for prepayment. There was no hesitation or questioning—just an assumption that he was trustworthy while I was not.
It is deeply disheartening that in the 21st century, racial bias like this still persists. To be instantly treated as a potential criminal simply because of the colour of my skin is unacceptable. I demand that this matter be escalated and investigated. The entire incident is on CCTV, and I expect head office to take this seriously.

I went to send a parcel just now in Esso Dorcan way, and this indian man with almost shaven head on the till saw me next to be served on the queue, holding a parcel and seemed to be annoyed for some reason. He took my parcel and slammed it on the counter and was so rude talking to me. He was in a rush and was so rude and it showed with how he dealt with customers. was shocked and
was speechless. He was so rude and is a disgrace in that job.

I clearly explained the proble, Esso still got it wrong.ould I have been.
Last Fri I tried to use my Nectar Card at an Esso garage using points to get 5p off per litre. They said that the system was not accepting my card, so the 5p per litre was not taken off the total amount. On getting home, an e-mail from Nectar showed 300 points taken off. I phoned Esso and clearly explained what had occurred, they sent an e-mail requesting proof via the receipt (fair enough) receipt sent showing proof. Received a reply, that the points had already been put back on my card. I checked, they had not. The only points added were those earned for that days fill (my earlier phone call could not have been clearer, with the call taker Zine Eddine saying he fully understood). Sent another e-mail, not holding out much hope. If not sorted quickly, won't use Esso ever again.

In Canada I bought a 100 gift card for Esso stations for a gift and when the person used it it was not working.
I called Esso and they said not all Esso's except the gift cards so you need to try another one. So I asked if they can provide me the locations which one expects it. They said thay don't have the locations. I asked for a refund and they said they can't do that.
So future I will NEVER EVER buy another gift Card for gass again. I just lost 100.00
