Portable paperweight, thanks to Denon

I've had their portable PA system (Audio Commander) for two years, and the unit quit charging the internal battery and would not operate off AC. DenonPro (no relation to Denon Audio-Video, and now a subsidiary of Jack O'Donnell's InMusic) cannot direct me to a repair facility, choosing to send me a useless map of retail rep companies, most of which are no longer in business. None of the repair centers on DenonPro's website will service the unit, and the majority of their resellers are also defunct. I've asked for a schematic, a list of repair centers, advice from tech support, or independent technicians, all to no avail. It appears that I'm stuck now with a two-year old, $800 paperweight, and DenonPro will NEVER get any more of my business.
