First time on a Cunard ship and was fantastic!

First time on a Cunard ship and was very impressed. We took the Queen Mary 2’s transatlantic voyage from England to NYC. I’ve been describing the trip to folks back home as “classy but not snobby”. Unlike a past cruise we went on, nobody was (visibly) drunk all day long. It didn’t feel like Fort Lauderdale meets Six Flags. This trip had an older guest profile with excellent entertainment and musicians, fantastic food, excellent lectures. You dress up a bit for dinner and there is dancing every night after the main stage show. It was filled with fun for adults, and the right sort of kids, who don’t need constant hype and endless novelty, but instead appreciate top-flight, warm service, terrific gourmet food, and great entertainment.

great experience

We've just finished another cruise with Cunard on Queen Anne. It was for our 9th wedding anniversary and we were well taken care of and happy with the service provided by all the staff on the ship. We enjoyed our 14 day cruise of Iceland and the British Isles and we've further booked a cruise for November of 2026 while on board. Thank you Cunard for the wonderful experience in iceland.

Queen Anne

Our third Cunard cruise, and this time aboard Queen Anne to Iceland. Being new, the ship was immaculate inside and out. The standard of service and food was exemplary in Britannia Club. First class shows every night in the theatre which was usually full. Our steward was always friendly and available and we had no issues to be concerned about. One shore excursion was cancelled due to lack of interest, with an immediate refund made. An alternative with a 10% discount was booked and taken. The Grills Terrace does occupy a big chunk of the centre of the upper decks, which can cause difficulty moving from bow to stern. We learned to adjust our routes to avoid any problems. We would sail with Cunard again, but probably on either Queen Elizabeth or Queen Victoria.

Our first voyage on Queen Anne

Our first voyage on Queen Anne. We approached this with an open mind. Initial impressions were very favourable. Whilst different to the three other ships, it has a certain style of its own, albeit not as traditional. Service generally up to Cunard standard, as was the food served in the Britannia. Stateroom bathrooms are a big plus, but the wardrobe space is a challenge. Whoever designed the latter has clearly never been on a cruise before - very difficult to access the narrow single wardrobes, let alone store more than a couple of jackets without having to force items in. Sadly the dress standard in the Britannia in the evenings often bore little resemblance to that requested. Such a shame that baseball caps, jeans and parkas now appear to be acceptable attire. If this is part & parcel of attracting a younger or newer audience, then it is a serious disappointment. Perhaps we were unfortunate in our voyage choice. Would we choose Queen Anne again - not sure.

Europe without Air Travel

We picked two transatlantic crossings which gave us a few days in Europe in between. The QM2 is a wonderful ship and we love that it is not full of water slides and noisy guests. Very classy. Very fun!

CUNARD'S QUEEN ANN

This was my second cruise on Queen Ann to Iceland. I was in group of four British and four Australian friends and we all found lots to do on the ship and also ashore on excursions. The food in the main restaurants was good with plenty of choice. Staff were very helpful and the ship was immaculate.

Surprised

First Cunard voyage and to our surprise, contrary to some of the reviews that we've read before, this was more than amazing. Welcoming staff, ship decor and conditions, friendliness and attention to details from cabin steward, waiters in restaurants, energy and quality of the entertaining shows. Sure, we've meet some grouchy travelers, complaining about everything, weather, elevators, food quality and waiters slow service and honestly I would not like them even as my neighbors. Low expectations going in, very happy in the end and for sure will be back.

The Queen Elizabeth

The Queen Elizabeth is an elegant ship, with an old world decorated feel. There is an abundance of musical talent everywhere, and the theater shows were terrific. We enjoyed a 10 night cruise to Alaska; it was perfect in every way!

Fabulous first cruise

I had a fabulous first-time-cruise experience with Cunard. Everything was just perfect. Our dining staff took great care of us (including ensuring my food was 100% safe to consume, as I have a food allergy). Our steward was amazing. The excursions were epic. The spa was amazing. The activities and entertainment was abundant. Loved every moment.
