Ordering experience has been awesome I like all of the notifications text messages emails you’re on it that’s killer pretty much ordered every single part for the bike except for what’s not in stock have did multiple orders in the last couple weeks would be nice if you guys would throw a hat in for people who order almost the whole bike one thing that I did not like is after ordering some of the stuff you gave me a chance to get 30% off on the handlebars offer right after I just ordered the handlebars that kind of sucked still need a couple more things but still out of stock I check every day

Bad quality from manufacturing to customer service

Had box two prime nine components for about a year of light-medium use when the rear derailleur grenade and chain broke. Ordered replacements because I thought I'd give it another try. Paid for 3 day shipping and it took them 3 days to box it up and send it and then 4 days to get to me. This company is bad quality from manufacturing to customer service. Avoid it like the plague!

Hi Josh,

We're sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate your feedback. We strive to provide both quality products and clear communication, so we’d like to clarify a few details regarding your order.

Your replacement parts order was placed after hours on Friday, and as noted on our website, we are closed on weekends. The order was processed and shipped on Monday, our next business day. While you selected a shipping method labeled “UPS 3 Day Select" It is a shipping service offered by UPS (United Parcel Service) that delivers packages within three business days from the time the package is shipped—not from when the order is placed.
We understand how frustrating it is when parts fail, and we wish you had reached out to us directly before leaving a review. We didn’t receive any communication about your issues, which would have given us the opportunity to help resolve things more directly.

We can offer to refund you the shipping amount you had paid if that will help.

We’re committed to doing better and welcome any future feedback or questions. Please feel free to reach out to our support team—we’re here to help.

The box one components are great

The box one components are great. Is all I use for my (7yo) kid’s BMX and MTB. I love the 8 speed groupset, i dont understand why not all the kids bikes come spec with the box one group set. If your kid is suffering trying to keep the chain on in the bike, just try the group set from box you wont regret it.
Everything is fairly prices, high quality and fast shipping.

Warranty Not Honored

Several Issues;
1. Ordered Two tires
Received one. Called, was told, recounted in spirit of the response from the agent, you dumb smack, Two is the name of the tire, not quantity. I noted that there was no indication that was the name of the tire, No TM or other wording that it was the name of the tire. Reply was you dumb smack, everyone knows it's the name the tire

Well, I liked the tread design and the apparent quality of the tire. So, I ordered another one. Agent, when asked for a break on the shipping, since I didn't realize it was only one tire, not Two, dumb smack that I am. replied no, dumb smacks don't get breaks on price.

So, dumb smack the at I am, I ordered another tire.

2. Defective Tire
Installed tires. Installed first one on rear and inflated to 60 pounds.

Installed front tire. Started inflating tire a pump that had built in pressure gauge. At about 40 psi, the tire blew off the wheel.

Called the Box to report the failure, Was told that I didn’t know how to properly install a bicycle tire and that their tire would never do what I described. Essentially, true to the nature of my previous phone call. I am just a dumb smack. Obviously I caused the problem. After further exchange, agent said they would take the tires back and refund the price less their cost to ship and I was responsible for the return shipping cost. I noted that their tire failed, that their warranty should take care of all costs. No, dumb smack that you are, you are responsible for everything. Because they are such a wonderful caring organization, they would refund the price of the tires upon receipt of the tires, less their shipping costs.

If the tire had failed while I was riding, I likely would not be writing this review. I would never trust a tire from Box Components, selling me a defective tire that blew off the rim due to bead failure, a severe defect with potentially devastating consequences resulting in severe injury of death.

Did not return the tires, shipping cost exceed the amount that would have been refunded.

Highly recommend avoiding doing business with Box Components. In my opinion from my dealing with them, they are rude, condescending arrogant, duplicitous, dishonorable, in short, cheats.

Installed Maxxis Rekon Race Mountain Tires, excellent tires, very satisfied, confident of no failure.

Product Review: Box One Linear Brake Cable Kit

As a long-time BMX rider, I’ve gone through my fair share of brake cable systems, but the Box One Linear Brake Cable Kit stands out as the most advanced and best-performing cable I’ve ever used.

From the moment I installed it, I noticed a major improvement in responsiveness and smoothness. The Concentric housing with its aramid fiber-wrapped aluminum/steel linear wires delivers the perfect balance of durability and low weight, which is a game-changer on the track. Even under intense use, there’s no flex or fade—just consistent, crisp braking.

The Nano Cable treated with PTFE coating drastically reduces friction. My lever feel is noticeably smoother, and the braking performance is sharp and reliable in all conditions. Combined with the anodized aluminum Kollars™ ferrules, cable drag is virtually eliminated, making every pull of the brake lever feel precise and efficient.

The kit is also complete and easy to work with. It includes:
• 79 inches of Concentric Linear housing
• A black PTFE-coated Nano Cable
• Four alloy Kollars™ ferrules
• Two alloy end caps (one black, one color-matched)

Every detail feels high-end, from the construction to the finish.

Bottom line: This is hands down the best cable I’ve ever used—and the only one I’ll be running in the future. If you’re serious about performance and reliability, the Box One Linear Brake Cable Kit is worth every penny.

Part arrived promptly

Part arrived promptly, and interface wrench interface is more secure than other options. The wrench interface is still looser than what I typically see on bottom bracket cups.

I am very happy with my purchase

I am very happy with my purchase. Box makes good bicycle components and the sale prices are unbeatable for a complete group set. I have used their products before on my BMX bike and I expect nothing less for my mountain bike.

Great Value!

I think the price that you charge for components made in the USA is excellent. Prime9 technology is also very intuitive.
