Customer Service (Chat) is the WORST!!
I found a special on Boostmobile.com (buy a new phone, pay for it in full to get 12 months of free phone service). I purchased a new Samsung S25+ on the website.
After selecting a phone, they ask if you want insurance or not, they ask you to pick a phone plan and you are required to pay for everything in full to get the 12 months of service for free. (Actually, you pick the lowest service plan at $25/mo and they are supposed to give you a monthly credit of $25 to reduce your payment $0.)
Well...MY VERY FIRST PAYMENT I'M BILLED BY BOOST.
After spending almost $1,100 in full for the phone...the first month they bill me for a month of service. I used the chat service and "Eunice" tells me that I didn't pick the $25/mo plan. (You literally can't buy the phone WITHOUT PICKING A PLAN.) I KNOW THAT I PICKED THE UNLIMITED $25/mo plan! This person kept insisting that I never selected a new plan. They told me this because they DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS AT ALL (and this error on their part would have resulted in a refund)
I asked for corporate's contact info and she lies and says she doesn't know it. Lol. I pushed further for the info and she gives a general email address. (Not acceptable). I ask for their manager and after 10 MINUTES they connect me with "Miko", Resolution Manager who immediately ENDS THE CHAT.
I immediately reached out on the chat again and I get "Salma" who WON'T CONNECT ME TO MIKO. Salma did offer to help, but basically said that I would need to call back 2-5 days before my August 3rd billing date to have customer service generate the $25 credit. Whaaaat?!?! This should have all been handled on my purchase date! Salma also ended the chat abruptly.
These reps do not care and offer very poor service to their customers.
NONE OF THIS CRAP WAS EXPLAINED UPON PURCHASE. WHY WOULD I NEED TO REACH OUT TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN IN ANOTHER 30 DAYS TO ASSURE THAT I RECEIVE A BILL CREDIT?!?! ISN'T THAT WHY I'M CHATTING WITH YOU? TO CORRECT IT?!?

Great customer support in getting my phone service charged from another carrier. The Boost service is just as good as my other carrier for a fraction of the cost. Wish I had charged sooner

Boost mobile is the worst mobile phone…
Boost mobile is the worst mobile phone company. I would use 2 tin cans and a string before ever consider this fly by night, poor excuse for a cell phone company. Go with literally any other company but them!

stay away from this cell phone provider
Your customer service is horrible. The stores offer very limited services. All they do is sell phones and set your phone up. And most likely it will take you more than one visit to get this done correctly. All other issues are out of their scope.
I spent 4 hours today helping my hearing-impaired boyfriend switch service to Mint Mobile. Four phone calls were made. 4 codes were sent that didn't work. I finally got the code to work taking me to the last step of setup.
Wouldn't you know it? I was unable to unlock the SIM card. I called for help and was told that he couldn't transfer from Boost for another month. Apparently, the new phone he bought from Boost recently has a promotion on it. This is the reason we can't transfer. It sounds like a made up story to me.
I checked on the boost website and looked at his phone listed on there and read the fine print. There was no mention about being locked in on anything. Also, this promotion issue was not mentioned on any of the previous 4 customer service phone calls.
Long story short, he is without a phone right now and we don't know for how long. My boyfriend owns a small business and he will lose income from this debacle.
Boost Mobile are CROOKS. SHAME ON YOU BOOST MOBILE. Keep raising those prices! We all know Your filthy rich CEO needs help paying for his OVERPRICED groceries and fuel for his private jet.

The customer service with Boost is…
The customer service with Boost is worse the Cricket, Walmart and Dell put together. At 3:21 PM PST 07/05/2025, I had to call Boost Mobile FOR THE 3RD TIME since I stated to the first agent my new phone freezes, there a lot of other issues, The agent responded, "so are the issues taken care of." I asked if she fixed them and she said no. She was stupid so I asked for a supervisor and all of a sudden they are busy. I called again and a dude who said his name was Wanda spoke very fast and very low. He want my pin number and then repeated it back to me. I now want a new pin number since that shared my private information. Third call that ended at 3:21 PM PST The lady I spoke to saw my account already verified. I mentioned all of the things wrong with my phone and then she said, it looks like you spoke to other agents, did they fix the problem. I asked, would I be calling back a 3rd time if the problem was fixed? I need a supervisor and she said, they are unavailable so now my complaint will be sent to FCC>GOV again since they keep testing me.
I will continue to file complaints to FCC.GOV each time I am denied assistance and a supervisor.

You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for.. VERY, VERY POOR Customer Support. Boost Mobile provides cheat cell phone carrier services because they don't have any customer support infrastructure in their country, and they do not understand the concept of Customer Support from an USA point of view. If a new customer decides to use their own device, if the Boost Mobile SIM card fails, then you not only can't authenticate to the Boost network, you need to borrow a cell phone from a friend or family member to call Boost for support, but Boost can't provide any troubleshooting support without authenticating to their network. If you can't be "authenticated", then they aren't able to provide any tech support. So they got your money, and you end up with no mobile services. What a rip-off! It's not worth it...

Boost came correct! They're killing it lately!
What a transformation Boost has gone through over the past several years! Congratulations on finding that sweet spot! How sweet it is also! Super pleased with the deals you've been dropping, and the innovative financing... I sit here with a the newest top-tier flagship device from Samsung, costing $1200+ retail, that Boost hand delivered to me while I was having tea, for under $10/Month for 3 years.. And I didn't have a trade-in or have to pay a down payment. 😲😳
My credit is atrocious...
That's okay, at least my phone isn't. 😁
Thank you, Boost! Your staff seemed really focused on making me happy at every interaction, and I could really tell that they've been trained to foster relationships with us customers and take care of us. Thank you for that as well. It reminds me of vintage mid-90s customer service, the glory days of great customer service. Boost really cleans up nicely, lookin all handsome.

Poor Customer Service
I’ve been a boot customer for over seven years and today I experience the worst customer service ever. I am not sure what the representative and or supervisor was thinking when they were dealing with me, but they need to think about the things they say not just to me but how they deal with other customers. For the month of May 24 to July 3 I have not received an email or text message stating that I was out of data. Therefore, I cannot trust that the representative is telling me that I was out of data without seeing documentation of that. I informed them that I never used my cellular data because I was using Internet that I pay for monthly through an Internet company. When the representative was talking over me and disrespectful and then when she began to talk and I started talking, she wants to point out that she will remain quiet until she’s allowed to speak. Her tone and demeanor was very negative. Then they want to try to charge me $25 for extra data when no one from boost mobile explain that they had a $5.02 gigabyte data and hotspot on the website. I’m very disappointed in this company. I hope going forward they do better at getting out information and showing documentation as to what they’re talking about cause I always make sure I have evidence just in case one person says one thing versus what I have in front of me.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Made two orders for the same kid because I had a phone that was compatible. Neither Sim kit arrived in the mail. Purchased one in the store and two SIM cards. Still cannot activate the phone. Week later purchase a brand new phone. Representative lied saying it would work fine in Mexico but it was only 5gigs. I have no phone for 1 weeks while traveling in Mexico. The store would not even take the phone back.boost only refunded 1 Sim kit because that was the only order number I could find. I'm still waiting for my bank to give me back the 60 act fee and 2 sim cards. Spent $175 for phone and case. Try to return a week later and they will not give me any money back. the stores are franchise owned so they tell you to call customer service and then customer service tells you to go into the store. Complete fraud

Make sure you cancel auto pay before you switch to another cellular company
I was a customer at Boost mobile since 2014 , I got a new phone. I been a customer for long time and I never received an offer for another free updated phone.
I switched to Verizon because they had a great offer, they gave me a new phone samsung s 25 for free if I give up my old one.
Now I been 2 months with Verizon and Boost Mobile charged me $508 because I had auto pay (I forgot to remove it) but I did not own nothing to them.
I called Boost Mobile customer service and they don't know what they charged me.
I called my bank inmediately and I told them about my issue, and they say I have to call tomorrow to probably fix the issue.
I've never consented auto pay because my Boost account was canceled two months ago.
I have rights to recover my money, but this bad review will stay here.

Horrible
Horrible. Called your company 15 times to get quotes, get a phone, get a refund, close account and NONE OF YOUR REPRESENTATIVES DID THE RIGHT THING TO ASSIST ME. AT THIS POINT I WANT MY ORIGINAL REFUND THAT BOOST TOOK OUT ON MAY 23, 2025 IN THE AMOUNT OF $15.14. WE NEVER USED BOOST SERVICE NOR RECEIVED A PHONE FROM BOOST IVE ATTEMPTED TO CANCEL THIS PHONE SERVICE SEVERAL TIMES BUT NO ONE AT BOOST HAS DONE THIS FOR ME. I WAS EVEN ADVISED BY YOUR CS REP ANGELICA TO GO IN PERSON TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER BUT WHEN I SHOWED UP & GAVE MY LEGAL INFO, I WAS TURNED AWAY & TOLD TO RESOLVE IT ONLINE. PLEASE REFUND ME ACCORDINGLY BACK TO MY ORIGINAL CARD. SINCERELY ESPERANZA ORTIZ.
