Best place for CDs

Bank5 Connect easily had the best rates on short-term CDs like 6 months. It was a snap to set up, and their website and cell phone app made my CD easy to work with. When it was time to close out my CD, the customer service team was extremely helpful. Next time I invest, I will definitely be choosing Bank5 Connect!

Internal transfer was very easy

It was very simple to transfer the proceeds of a matured CD into a Bank5 Connect savings account. It can't be done just using the website, but the whole process was quick and easy. One day turn around.

When my CD matured, I requested part of it to be renewed and part sent to my checking account. They completed the transactions as requested and very promptly. Nice job, Bank5 Connect!

They sit up there and put my account on hold cause the actions that I was doing and tried to make it seem like it was fraudulent, which was crazy

Disappointing when applying, but good customer service and a positive experience overall

I had a CD with Bank5Connect, and in that time, I had a positive experience. After I applied, I was upset that I did not receive any communication from the bank; no email confirming that an account was created for me. It had been days, despite their website saying it should be quick. Money was taken from my account, but still no email from them. By then, I had already gotten a request to write a review, which I did. Shortly after, they called me. The woman I spoke to was very nice, helpful, and gave me her direct line to contact her if I needed any further assistance. After that, I didn't have any problems. I contacted customer service a couple of times, and they promptly responded. The bank gave me sufficient notice of when my CD would reach maturity and my options. My CD reached maturity, so I'm no longer using Bank5 Connect. I would have stayed with Bank5 Connect if they had a higher interest rate; that is the only reason I closed my account.

The Customer Service Reps NEED Retraining

While we ultimately were able to transfer significant outside funds to a recently renewed Bank 5 CD, nevertheless, it required literally hours of efforts with long phone calls over 2 days to do so. Having received erroneous (i.e. wrong!) information from 3 different customer service reps, it wasn't until the 4th (actually a supervisor, who apologized repeatedly) that we finally were successful.
