STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY!

STAY AWAY from purchasing insurance from this company - they will not pay. I purchased a policy through a GATE 1 for a trip to South Africa. My brand new luggage was damaged to the point I had to carry it! I filed a claim, and they took me in circles and sent me down a rabbit hole, informing I had to file the claim with Fast Jet, however Fast Jet doesn't have a claim filing option, only one email which they never reply. I went back to Arch, explained this, was told my claim would move through, and then they later denied paying me because I didn't file it 48- hour period required. I explained I was actually flying during that time and of course didn't find the damage until after landing! STAY AWAY! THEY'RE CROOKS!

I originally posted a poor review April, 2025. ARCH insurance contacted me right away and took care of the matter. Thank you so much! I will continue to purchase this travel insurance as I and my husband are frequent out of the country traveler several times a year.

Purchased the travel insurance

Purchased the travel insurance, via Gate1. DON'T DO IT! My husband wasn't able to fly to go on the trip at the last minute, due to a sudden medical issue. I sent a letter from the doctor with details to ARCH insurance, which should have been sufficient. ARCH insurance first said it had to be pre-existing condition. They then sent forms for the doctor to fill out. It's been ridiculous! No reimbursement for his portion of the trip. I've paid for this insurance for multiple trips. Will look into another kind after the next scheduled trip, which has already been paid for with the insurance.

Arch saved the day

I'm an insurance Broker, who not only sells this product but who also is a customer. I was in Ireland, when I slipped on glass and cut the tips of my toes. Instead of having to spend a whole day of my vacation in a hospital waiting (I.E. socialized medicine), Arch paid for me to go to an urgent care instead. I was bandaged and back to enjoying my vacation in an hour. So glad I had the coverage! I would recommend Arch to other agents and for their customers as well.

Bad Service

We were told we were covered for fuel, food and lodging up to $250 per day and were not paid for it.. Now, we are told California is not covered when you flew our son there.

Perfect, beyond expectations

They came thru with the best care, decisions and handled everything perfectly. I had been injured in Mexico and they worked together with my health care provider to get me transferred home in the U S to get the care I needed. Your company was professional, accurate with the decisions and kept me safe. Thank you

Insured by Arch your liable!

Arch commercial auto insurance forces claims to go to court every time no matter how small or large the claim,by using a third party administrator Athens Administration...that has a ZERO response and a looped email and phone answering service...with Zero human contact...as a policy holder,your liable for what Arch Insurance will not pay and if at fault you will pay other involved parties loss....that's is the truth..

PROPERTY INSURANCE

On the 11th of June 2024, l arrived at my surgery to find the place flooding. I quickly found a plumber to come and repair the leak and dry out the surgery. I contacted Arch Insurance so that l could be reimbursed for my costs. The first point of contact did not return my phone call and l had to call again the day after. When l submitted the plumbers report , l was asked to wait for the claim to be processed. I have received the final decision. Arch has given some unfair reasons why they are unable to settle my bill.
If you are looking to insure your property, please do not use Arch lnsurers. They are happy to collect the premiums but will use any excuse, like you should have checked the pipes to make sure they do not burst, to turn you down if the need for a claim arises.

I had an extremely disappointing…

I had an extremely disappointing experience. If you're traveling abroad, do yourself a favor and avoid this company. They operate on a "pay now, hope later" model. Despite providing all the necessary documentation and legitimate reasons for my claim due to an illness abroad, they still refused to reimburse me. This company is a complete waste of money and fails to deliver on its promises. Stay away!

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY...HELP!!!!!

Extra, Extra read all about it... BEWARE Of THIS COMPANY.....

I was schedule to take a trip to Thailand on February 25, 202. We had a huge ice storm a few weeks before my travel and I fell on the ice and received a concussion and a stroke....I am still under medical care and arch insurance is denying my claim...this is got to be the most inhumane thing I ever heard of....I sent them my medical emergency room records and all documentation from my doctor related visits and still new visits to come and they come up with something new each time.... This should be against the law!!! I bought travel insurance to be told I am denied for more information needed. Whats left other than my blood!!!!

Arch Insurance Wrongful Denial

Arch Insurance wrongfully denied most of my medical claim. I signed up
with Gate 1 for a trip to copper canyon Mexico, which required a plane flight and long bus trips. When I signed up
I was able to travel. A month or so later I was hospitalized with acute pulmonary embolisms (blood clots) and hospitalized for 11 days. The blood clots were from an airplane flight from Dublin. My physician signed a medical statement saying I could not travel by plane or on long bus trips. Gate 1 remitted 1/2 the cost of the tour (no complaint) but Arch Insurance gave me only $300.00 for my $875.00 claim. If 11 days in the hospital is not a good reason for trip cancellation I don’t know what is. I will never use that insurance company ever again.

I am a senior citizen on Medicare

I am a senior citizen on Medicare, so when I went on medicare.gov site, the ARCH insurance is listed as my secondary insurance. But I never enrolled in it and have no reason for their services. I have never even heard of ARCH insurance. Now how does that happened. What should I do?

Very disappointed in this INS company

Very disappointed in this INS company. Please be aware when traveling and insured by these people, if you file a claim, don’t expect a full refund. Actually, it’s a slap in the face. Spent over 2 grand for a trip that was cancelled (through a travel agent) and received less than a third back on the claim….

BUYER BEWARE!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!!! My flight was cancelled due to delay of Delta from previous route the the flight crew were timed out. Delta stated I could not get another flight for two days. I was put in a position of having to fly with another airline and purchasing a ticket. I filed a claim with Arch to cover my expense for the purchase of the 2nd ticket to get home. They denied my claim stating that there was a crew shortage. They are denying everyones claims. RIP OFF COMPANY

DO NOT PURCHASE ARCH INSURANCE!

ARCH Insurance.

I spent weeks submitting a claim for our binoculars that were stolen out of our luggage on our UK trip.
I uploaded documentation and receipts, and followed proper protocol, etc.... for the $140.60 reimbursement to Arch Insurance.

This is the message I sent them.

Arch Insurance Company,
You made a decision to not pay this claim because you stated that there was no written correspondence made with the airline within 48 hours of the loss. Documentation was sent to you and uploaded on 6/9/23 as soon as we returned. It was submitted to the airlines within 48 hours. Emails and texts are by law, written correspondence. We made sure we followed protocol even taking time out on our "vacation" to do so.
We have literally spent thousands and thousands of dollars obtaining insurance through you for our trips. We even owned an international travel agency and referred you to hundreds and hundreds of clients.
This claim is legitimate and I provided ALL documentation needed.
It is beyond belief that you have closed this claim stating there was no correspondence. To the absolute contrary. This claim was only for $140. 60! As trivial as this seems, it was important to us as we have never filed a claim with you before.
So basically, you have lost thousands AND thousands of more "future insurance dollars" of ours as we will never purchase insurance from you again. I will contact the companies and clients I referred you to AND I will be posting your decision on all social media platforms.

Buyer Beware - ZERO Insurance Incident Protection

My $3000 Peru trip was interrupted due to nationwide strikes/civil and political unrest which happened after our arrival where we were held against our will in the Urubamba sacred valley for multiple days and were awaiting the National Military to take control of the region and reopen local airports which had been overtaken by protestors. It was a treacherous trip which caused me and others on the tour much duress, many sleepless nights and was far from anything that could be considered a vacation, which is what I thought I was paying for. We were told by our tour manager that we would receive a refund and it would be better if we had insurance (I did with Arch Insurance). After 7 months of trying to get this matter resolved with Gate 1 (including contacting the president directly) and their sham Arch insurance company which repeatedly denied my claims and then after spending hours and hours of my time doing their job for them, I was given back $270 which only covers what I paid for the insurance and doesn't put me any better off than someone who didn't purchase it (actually worse off since I have wasted so much time, worry and stress on this whole process). Please be wary that you will be offered ZERO coverage and protection in the event of an incident while traveling and should consider that money gone when booking whether you take the trip you paid for or not.
