The dirtiest team I've seen in a while

The dirtiest team I've seen in a while. Diving in the box, defenders throwing themselves to the ground if they lose the ball and lots of off the ball abuse when the ref isn't looking. They've been in the conference for ever so it doesn't work. Losers!

Altrincham FC - Best team in the land & all the world

Just spent another evening with the Altrincham FC family and cannot recommend enough. Fantastic welcome, thoughtfulness, attention to detail and all round passion and camaraderie first class. Always nice for the team to get a win = icing on the cake. Anyone in the locality who wants a great night should get down Moss Lane and book into the J Davidson Stadium. Cannot recommend enough - thanks Robins

Early this year we booked through Agoda…

Early this year we booked through Agoda a family room at BW Cresta Court. We were due to attend a concert at Manchester Arena, stay overnight and then fly to Turkey on a family holiday.
We suffered a family bereavement suddenly 3 days before but because it was our sons birthday on the night of the concert he wanted to see, and the night of our scheduled stay, we decided to cancel our holiday but go with our son to the concert, which we did.

After the concert we had a 30 min drive to the hotel arriving just before midnight. We were all tired and ready for bed.
The manager checked us in and the booking form from Agoda stated payment would be taken 3 days before which I believed had happened.
We were surprised to hear payment of £126 was required at this time.
We paid by card and were given keys to room 332.
On opening the door it was as if we had opened an oven door that was cooling down, the heat was unbearable and it was difficult to breathe properly.
In short it was impossible to sleep in the room.
We returned to reception and asked for our money back which the manager said he couldn’t do.
He said fans could usually be provided but there were none left.
These would merely have moved the stifling air around the room.

We asked the manager to check the temperature of the room 3 times but he refused.
We reluctantly decided to drive back across the Pennines to our home arriving around 2am and very tired.
As informed by the manager I emailed the general manager of the hotel receiving a rather abrupt and arrogant reply from one of his assistants and refusing any compensation.

We were also told the £126 charge had been returned to our card and we’d now been charged the Agoda price of £145 and they ‘hoped’ this was convenient for us!!

Apparently because it was a warm spell we should expect overpowering temperatures everywhere we go !

The fact they don’t have AC or fans provided is incidental also, apparently again.
The reply was so insensitive to our plight it astounded us all.

I won’t be visiting this hotel again and I would advise others not to use it in the summer months also.
The pity was that the room was ideal for us as a family just not habitable at the time.

If events hadn’t been so sad for us and we had been going on holiday from Manchester Airport it would have ruined the start of it as we would have had no option but to stay overnight in that sweat box.

Kfc Alty Health Warning!

1 star is flattering. Awful, diabolical. Tender chicken, more moisture in Death Valley. Please don’t get it delivered as a HEALTH WARNING, though in fairness, the delivery arrives only an hour late, it’s usually cold, with the wrong drink!
Crap, bobbins, rubbish 🥵😡
