Helpful!
Popped in to buy a spare fitting for some SKS mudguards, mechanic offered me the part I was looking for and wouldn't take anything for it. Helpful and generous service, I'll be back when I need else!

Fantastic service from Melissa
I bought a Specialized gravel bike from Tisos in Glasgow this weekend. Melissa was an absolutely fantastic help. She listened to my requirements and with her knowledge found me the perfect bike. She definitely provided a 5 star service from beginning to end.

The worst service experience
Had to have my Trek Powerfly 7 repaired under warranty. Following a motor and display replacement the bike still has issues. The workshop damaged my bike bu chipping paint off the frame around the motor screws. Provided me with a touch up paint. They damaged one of my rims by hanging the bike on a metal peg which they pointed out to me. I accepted new decals for the wheels which I have never received. When I tried to book the bike back in to have it repaired for the third time they refused to take it based on my experience previously. This was the Glasgow branch and the manager had a despicable attitude. I wouldn’t buy another thing from here. There are many other retailer with great support. To sum up. Two failed attempts at repairing the bike and caused damage. Do not touch them

Great Workshop team
As a very keen cyclist I am always needing help, advice and parts. Owen, Sean and the workshop team are always ready to listen, give up their time, and offer the best customer service of all the bike shops in Aberdeen. Thank you all for your patience and efficiency!😃

Don't touch them with a barge pole
This company has a bike on sale for £3,499, reduced from £4,100. They refused to honour the reduced price as it appears that it's cash only for the sale price. They then demanded £4,100 up front just to let me see the bike. So that's not happening then.

Tiso Alpine bikes Perth
I bought my Cube Kathmandu exc 500 out of Alpine / Tiso in Perth in June 2019 which is slightly over three years ago and in all that time Mike and Liz at Alpine has serviced and looked after the bike for me. The Cube ebike has clocked up nearly 8000 miles and has never let me down on my long journeys and that is thanks to the excellent team at Perth. When it came to replacing parts under warranty it was hassle free, replaced without question, obviously the usual wear and tear components as the like of stretched chains and brake pads etc they were not covered. Once a year it goes in for its service and Liz checks and adjusts whatever it needs and that gives me piece of mind for when I’m out on the roads and paths of Perthshire / Scotland. So there you are folks an honest review of an excellent company over a period of over three years.

Poor Service
I have had a mixed relationship with Alpine Bikes over the years, have bought a few bikes from them and many had teething issues, but I always knew the shop would oblige and make right. However two years ago when my son bought a new bike it had to go back the following day, the mechanic then claimed we had damaged the bike while trying to repair it ourselves, this was not the case and despite a back and forth with alpine and escalating to TISO - I was left feeling like I was branded a liar.......... from that day on I have not and will never return.

Poor service from Alpine Bikes Inverness
We purchased two very expensive eMTBs from Alpine Bikes at Tiso Inverness. Our experience with the first was great.
Tried to book the first free service for the second one in September last year to be told they were not accepting appointments for ‘free’ services for the rest of the year … except at weekend which didn’t suit. They were only accepting ‘paid for’ servicing appointments during the week is what we were told and this was confirmed by the store manager.
Despite being told by an engineer the first service scheduled was dependent on hours cycled, Chris Tiso tried to tell us the first service was overdue because it was due within a certain time from purchase. Not quite sure how this can be in any way classified as good service, rather the opposite.
Avoid them!

Outstanding service
After having a terrible experience trying to buy a Trek dual sport 2 bike with Evans cycles, I decided to try Alpine bikes in Glasgow and wasn't disappointed.
When I called they had the trek in stock so paid for the bike and mudguards and they advised they would fit them while building the bike, they also advised they would source the kickstand and fit it just leaving me to pay for it when I collect the bike.
I spoke to Zak two days before collection who advised he was trying to source the bolts for the kickstand as they don't come supplied, but not Alpines fault, Zak went out of his way to get the bolts without charging for them.
I emailed Alpine advising the issues I had with the previous bike I ordered from Evans, so the guys from Alpine could check the Trek I was getting from them, after seeing the email they checked the bike again to be sure.
When I collected the bike I was delighted as the guys done a great job, Simon gave great advice and I paid him for new helmet and a handy little tool, he even carried the bike downstairs and wheeled it outside continuing to give advise.
On my way home I realised I forgot to pay for the kickstand, i called them when I got home and Zak thanked me for my honesty, he even gave me 10% off for my honesty and the delay sorcing the bolts for the kickstand.
The service off these guys was outstanding, well done Zak and Simon

As someone who is just getting into…
As someone who is just getting into mountain biking I was slightly apprehensive about going in the store to buy my first bike I.e. not wanting to look/sound stupid.
From the offset John took time to provide me with understanding of different bikes, capability, suitability for my needs
He made me feel really welcome and made sure I understood everything without being patronising. Just a really great friendly, professional experience.
Extremely happy with the service and couldn’t recommend more highly.
Great work John and team at Glasgow store on Couper street city centre.
Thanks.

First Time Purchase. Would Definitely Buy Again
Alpine Bikes Glasgow. Ordered a bike, they had it ready earlier than they initially said they would so managed to get it earlier than I thought I would. Noticed a minor problem with it after a couple of days. Took it back and mechanics couldn’t do enough to help to sort it out and were very apologetic that I had to come back in the first place (even though the problem was more to do with the design of the bike than anything they had done).

I love this shop. Always happy to help me when I have a crisis. Love supporting a local bike shop over the online monsters. 10% discount for members too.

Poor bicycle assembly
Purchased a bicycle and assembly was very poor. I found scratch marks on some of the components, bicycle frame was greasy, a crank arm has been dented while mounting pedals, not all bolts were tight enough and disc brakes were rubbing. Nothing really major but I would expect mechanics were taking better care when inspecting bicycles pre delivery, I would have preferred doing it myself.
Definitely not impressed by the service offered.

Very poor customer service
Purchased a bike then had to wait 5 weeks for it to arrive after being told it was in stock. When it did arrive the bike was not checked over and had then had to wait another week to get it sorted. No manuals or warranty booklets were given and no first free service offered, all on a £2500 bike pretty poor. I was offered some freebies wich helped but still very disappointed.

Do they ever carry any stock?
As other reviewers here - they don;t always have what they say to send online. I wouldn't bother - just go else where

2.5 stars
Ordered a number of items online. Bike locks, bike rack etc; unfortunately they called to say that none of the main items were in stock and that I ought to go straight to the shop and buy/order them from there. Which didn't really impress upon me the idea that they were a serious online retailer. Maybe they should just have an online enquiry service instead?
