    My ticket insurance did not cover event cancellation, which is the whole point of insurance?

    I purchased insurance on a festival ticket. The festival cancelled and my insurance claim was denied because my plan “excludes coverage for any loss that results directly or indirectly from the event being cancelled or delayed by the venue or promoter for any reason.” Which begs the question… what is the point of getting insurance?

    Allianz came thru!

    We have traveled for almost 20 years, at least one international destination each year plus other travels and up until we took our 1st cruise this year we never knew about travel insurance. Many people talked about getting it and Allianz being the way to go so we signed up for an annual plan. Low and behold, for the 1st time ever a medical visit on our trip, and on the cruise ship no doubt. Sent paperwork, they helped thru the whole process and approved and paid out the full claim. Truly happy and will make sure we renew when it comes up.

    First Claim over the years.

    We have had travel insurance for each of our trips in the past, but never had to file a claim. This past trip, my wife ruptured a tendon in her right hand, and we had to spend 3 hours in the ER at Basel, Switzerland. They would not file the insurance and would only take a credit card. X-rays and doctor services amounted to almost $ 2,400. When we arrived home, I filed a claim, and within a couple of days, the bill was reimbursed.

    My friend had blood cancer and had to…

    My friend had blood cancer and had to have a transfusion. I was going to help and got the flight insurance just in case something happened. Come to find out I couldn’t go because I couldn’t be around her because her immune system was down and I would be bringing germs to her When I let the insurance company know about that that I bought the flight insurance from. They said it didn’t matter how uncaring is that? Why have insurance if you can’t use it?

    When Delta would not accept…

    When Delta would not accept responsibility for damage claim to my golf bag. Allianz stepped up and paid the damage claim amount. Once I got signed in for my damage claim. Approval was within 48 hours and paument was received electronically within 7 - 10 days.
