Make sure you cancel 30 days before you decide you are going to have an injury or cant go to the gym or if you decide to go directly through a gym because THEY DO NOT DO REFUNDS! Even if they can see you aren't going and you ask for a refund within a 1 day of starting and billing you are out the money. I MISSED THE CANCEL BY A DAY!!!! They refused to refund.

Bad experience
I had a frustrating experience with this company after canceling my subscription. Despite my cancellation at the pilates studio, they continued to charge me a monthly fee for an entire year. I've reached out for a refund, but their customer service has been unhelpful and dismissive. It's disappointing to see a company prioritize profits over customer care. I would not recommend active and fit due to their lack of accountability.

Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. I was excited to enroll in O2 fitness from their portal, but when I went to the gym, the gym has discontinued working with them. However their portal still shows that the gym is in network. After 1 week of figuring out whether they really have this gym under contract, it turns out they don’t. But they are not refunding the money. Each time I call, they raise new tickets for refund, call the gym every single time to confirm they are not accepting active&fit, and telling me they will get back to me. But no updates, no refunds. Every time I call them and try to explain this, it takes an hour because all of the reps are highly incompetent. Took 4 months to get my refunds. It’s a shame because I joined via my employer. Plus their discounts are not that great. For planet fitness, they are charging $28/months, but instead go with PF directly since they do $15/month for 1 and $25/month for 2. I have wasted a couple of hours and had to do a lot of escalations just to make them refund me my money.

Do not do business with this company
It appears my experience mirrors that of many others on this site. I signed up with this company to receive a discounted Orangetheory 8x/month membership and had what I thought was a simple question: Can I upgrade to unlimited, and what is the cost? Unfortunately, that seemingly straightforward inquiry turned into a frustrating and time-consuming ordeal.
To begin with, contacting them is unnecessarily difficult—there’s no email address listed on their website, no contact form, and no chat option. I had to call in, wait on hold for an extended period, and only then was I finally given an email address.
I first reached out via email in May but received no response. After following up to ask for a status update, I was met with an unhelpful and surprisingly dismissive reply. Not only was the tone unprofessional, but the information they provided was inaccurate and referred to a completely unrelated conversation from March. Despite my continued efforts, my original question still hasn’t been answered, and this has dragged on for several weeks.
At this point, I’ve contacted my gym directly and will manage my membership through them moving forward. As others have noted, the minor savings are simply not worth the hassle. The customer service experience has been extremely disappointing, and I hope the company takes this feedback seriously but I am sure based on other reviews, they wont.

Don’t do it! You will get screwed. They are sneaky and rude too. It’s just a matter of time before a class action law suit.

THE WORST
THE WORST. I signed up with the program because of it's relationship with AARP. Trusting that AARP would have vetted any business they promoted. Active and Fit charged me two months for one month and a few days. Telling me because I signed up on the 23 of the month and opted to started that month it counted as a full month. And I could have opted to start the following month. WHAT?

Cancel membership with the gym in…
Cancel membership with the gym in December. They do not communicate with gyms. Terms and conditions are on bottom of page and you have to click it or you do not see it. They claim I have to contact them to cancel. For four months they have been charging me and not paying the gym. Where is that money going. Claim they can't email me terms and conditions

Trash company with very poor customer service
Not only does this company have poor connections with the actual gyms the offer, they also have very poor customer service. I was charged for two F45 memberships in which the gym did honor. When calling to request a refund Active and Fit are giving the run around and contently stating to wait 3-5 days from each call I've made. It's been a month, and they are still telling me they are trying to transfer a refund for services I have not received. TRASH COMPANY AND not WORTH YOUR MONEY!!

Active fit is a Piece of crap company With Crappy Customer service representatives. I joined them in 2018 with the expectations of working out in many different gyms which they took out of service last year. I canceled my membership through my insurance however they're saying this was not credible. They continue to charge me until April of 2025

This company is a scam!!
This company is a scam!!! I joined because my preferred gym was included in the direct standard membership. As soon as I created account it disappeared and the closest gym to my location was 25 away. I called customer support and they refused to delete my account, basically stealing my personal information. Customer support is a joke.

Canceled the gym membership
Canceled the gym membership - gym confirms it. Active and Fit continues to charge in the gyms name and then says the fees are unusable and unrefundable. No monthly emails, yes there is an email my profile.

You also have no way of knowing you are enrolled through your gym
Basically no way of knowing you are getting scammed and there wouldn’t not return your money and blame you for not knowing. I will fight until they go out of business and if there is any lawyer out there, lets file class action law suit. This is the worst experience ever.

Sneaky
I canceled my membership at the gym that I originally started via active n fit, the gym said all good with no mention of an active n fit membership and then I got charged next month by Active n Fit, and after calling me they said I had to cancel via them and not via the gym and that they cannot refund the month's fee that I paid but cannot use since I am not a member of the gym anymore. The representative said it was in the terms and conditions but obviously no one mentioned it until now

Lying and stealing your money company
They advertise gyms that they do not have contracts with. They take your money and will give you the run around. I have called 5x now over a month period and they keep telling me 3-5 business days. They are a lying and stealing your money company. Do not use them. It is a scam.

Legitimately a scam..
Legitimately a scam... I canceled my gym membership in early January; my gym required a full 30-day notice, so I had access through Feb 28. Well, I was charged by Active & Fit Direct in early March. Spend 5 minutes giving all the info to customer service, only to be told they can't reverse the charge because they require a 30-day cancellation as well. What??? Neither the gym nor Active & Fit explained that my membership was through them and not the gym apparently? I asked what service I am paying for during March since I no longer have access to the gym... She said I could re-join the gym, but then I'd have to give another 30-day notice and then pay for April as well. It's an endless loop. They're making their money by charging people for services they no longer have access to.

This company stole $65 from me and they…
This company stole $65 from me and they will not give it back.
Since my gym membership was being doubled in January, I went into the YMCA on Nov. 25 and cancelled. Nowhere in the Terms and Conditions of Active and Fit Direct does it say that cancelling at the gym does not count as cancellation. In an email they stated, "Assuming you could cancel in any other way is a mistake on your part as we cannot cover all possible assumptions one may make about our service."
I believe that leaving that important information out of the Terms and Conditions and then blaming the customer is unconscionable.
I was mistaken that I had cancelled, I cancelled the day I was billed and explained the situation, but they have a death grip on your money once the acquire it.
So I paid $35 for December and I paid the increased fee of $65 for January.
They state that the monthly fee is not based on use but on access to the facility. I no longer had access to the facility past Nov. 25. All I wanted was to not be charged for January. I cancelled 33 days before January. And then I cancelled 28 days before January once I realized my mistake. But the company uses it's vague Terms and Conditions to fleece as much money as they can from the customer.
